JUSTIN: That was his main prayer for sure. Yeah.
I went in to the bedroom & shut the door behind me & went face first on the ground.
For probably the 1st time in my life, I began to encounter the presence of God.
In my spirit I could see that there was an actual cloud of the glowing glory of God that just moved into my room & hovered over me for 3 hours.  I mean, the heart surgery that God did on me was remarkable.
The addiction was broke  off, years of emotional & mental turmoil & all of that was just, it was like I became a new creation.  Like I was born again & transferred out of the kingdom of darkness & into the kingdom of light.

Deliverance from addictions come in all forms. It depends upon the strength & familiarity of the demon.
In other words, how long has the person been walking hand-in-hand with this demon?
How far into the darkness of sinful behavior has this person willingly gone with this evil spirit? 
Sometimes all it takes is a prayer of repentance. 
The person is free from demonic behavior, because it’s just that, ungodly behavior.
But other times the demon does not want to let go of the person, because it inhabits, possesses the individual. 
It’s not going to leave it’s abode without a spiritual fight.  Now you notice I said a 'spiritual fight'.
You can not force a demon out of someone with physical force or means, it’s a spiritual battle.
For example, screaming at the demon, or physically slapping the individual does nothing to the demon.
In fact, the demon is enjoying your display of ignorance and wants you to make that person suffer more.
It knows at that point you do not know who you are in Christ & are unaware of the authority in the name & blood of Jesus that you have been given.
To force this demon to leave you will have to create a spiritual atmosphere that the demon cannot handle being in.
This means you will have to activate spiritual weapons that are supernaturally stronger than it is.
DEMONS OBEY THE FOLLOWING: -
1. The authority of the name of Jesus. “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, on earth, & under the earth,” Philippians 2:10.
2. The supernatural activation of the power of the blood of Christ.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement for our peace was upon Him & by His stripes we are healed,” Isaiah 53:5
3. They will obey you when they know that you clearly understand that you have dominion over them.
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents, scorpions, & over all the power of the enemy. 
Nothing shall by any means hurt you,” Luke 10:19.
TO CREATE THE RIGHT ATMOSPHERE YOU WILL NEED TO:
1. Spend time in prayer & fasting. “Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say TO this mountain, ‘Move from here to there & it will move & nothing will be impossible for you.  However, this kind does not go out except by prayer & fasting,” Matthew 17: 20-21.
2. Activate the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.  Against such there is no law,” Galatians 5:22-23.  3. Pray in the Holy Spirit (tongues). 
4. You will need to kick out the doubters & unbelievers from the place. You may actually need to leave the place that is familiar to the 1 possessed by the demon & bring them into your territory where hopefully is saturated with the presence of the Lord. “When Jesus came into the ruler’s house & saw the flute players & the noisy crowd wailing, He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” They ridiculed Him. 
But when the crowd was put outside, He went in & took her by the hand, & the girl arose. 
The report of this went out into all that land,” Matthew 9:23-26.
AFTER THE DELIVERANCE YOU WILL NEED TO: After deliverance has taken place you must do the following as taught in Matthew 12:43-45 to keep the demons from returning.
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, & finds none. 
Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’
When he comes, he finds it empty, swept, & put in order. 
Then he goes & takes with him 7 other (evil) spirits more wicked than himself. 
They enter & dwell there; so the last state of that man is worse than the 1st.
So shall it also be with this wicked generation."Renew your mind & your ways as you read God’s Word.
“My son, give attention to My words; incline your ear to My (scripture) sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, & health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life,” Proverbs 4:20-23.
Develop relationship with God as you pray (talk to God) in your natural language & build yourself up as you pray in the Holy Spirit (tongues). “Then you will call o, come & pray to Me. I will listen to you,” Jeremiah 29:12.
Again in 1 Corinthians 14:4a, “He who speaks in a (heavenly) tongue edifies himself .”

Keep the spiritual atmosphere clean as you listen to praise & worship music. “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, singing & making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God,” Ephesians 5:15-21.

SID: Now, you're talking from Bible, but also talking from seeing so clearly in the invisible world.
The enemy, if you will, has tricks. For instance, shame. Tell us about Doug.
BLAKE: Yeah. I had this friend when I was younger & to make a long story short, he had a really big problem with substance abuse.
As he got a little bit older, he managed to give up most of these issues, but he still had a problem with alcohol. He'd be doing good for a few months. 
Then he'd just have a go on a real scary bender where he would just really indulge.
 The most recent of these events had caused him to spend a little time in jail & lose his license. 
I saw Doug at church & inquired, "Hey, how's it going?" He was saying all these self-deprecating kind of statements. I noticed there was this demon that was following him.
Anytime that he would say 1 of those self-deprecating statements, it would dump this bucket of dark oily tar kind of stuff.
SID: Their gifts can be developed.
BLAKE: It can grow. I watched as all this would come on him.
Eventually, I told him, "Please stop saying this stuff about yourself." A few days later I saw him again. 
That very same demon was picking at these different little wounds, hurts & pains of life, that were on him & was pulling them open with 1 hand when with the other hand, it was shaking this brown bottle in front of his face.
The next time I saw Doug, he showed up to church drunk.
Again, the second we made eye contact, I could see that he knew that I knew that he had started drinking again. That exact same demon came & dumped that shame all over him again.
There's a righteous anger that comes up in me when I realized the exact same demon that was trying to tempt him into violating his values is the exact same 1 that was condemning & shaming him for having violated those values, trying to perpetuate a cycle.
SID: Shame is a biggie. A lot of us have done wrong things. Every once in a while, it comes to remembrance & we feel a lot of shame. What advice do you have for us? How can we get rid of this shame?
BLAKE: When you've truly repented, changed your mind & the way that you're living your life, you are invited into stepping into your identity in Christ. When you receive your identity from Him, shame can't stick to you.
It can't hang on to you. It just melts away. You still have a conviction. 
You still have the Holy Spirit helping to direct your path & guide you. But it's not like shame. 
Shame tries to tell you who you are, tries to have you identify with something negative.
(Godly) conviction makes you want to repent again, return to Jesus, & let (invite) Him transform your life.
SID: Once you come to your senses, the demon will (temporarily) leave & find someone else to (shame,) bite & bully.
BLAKE: Oh, certainly.
(REMINDER: Once a sin is repented of & thus forgiven by God, it is also forgotten/erased from heaven’s books. 
Forgiven sin can NO longer incriminate us on judgment day. 
However, satan has liberty to continue to accuse us. 
We are at liberty to take/accept satan’s poison bait, at liberty to NOT to refuse/reject/renounce satan’s NOW false accusation, & at liberty NOW to become or remain satan’s victim.)

MICHAEL: . I became seriously manically & suicidally depressed...because I was finishing my PhD in psychology, so we talking about the Lord's timing.  I was 37 & thought my life was over, but Jesus healed me.
My oldest son (aged 12-13)  started self-medicating.  We were homeless. Many negative things happened. 
He started just trying to take care of his pain. We had a beautiful home we lost. 
Every possible, negative thing (happened) from death threats to the whole town talking about us.
The Lord told me if I would forgive the people that had hurt me, He would make me forget the pain they caused me.  So I made a list. I forgave the people. 
After about 7 weeks of praying for people, the Lord visited me.  It's amazing.
Not only took away the pain, He gave me love for the people that broke my heart.
My son, the moment he could, moved out of our house (to) the streets.  Drug dealers were trying to kill him.  Police (were) trying to arrest him. I just would lay on his bed that he grew up in & just prayed, "God, tonight, don't let my son die." The Lord spoke to me & said He wanted me to change the way that I talked about my son. The Lord reminded me of all the prophetic words over the years He'd given me about my son's life.
I told my wife & we started saying (prophesying/ declaring over/about/that) our son is a history maker & world shaker, man of God. He's going to be a godly husband & father.
MICHAEL: The Lord had spoken to me so strongly that if I would change my vocabulary, the outcome would be changed. So I just started repeating God's Word. Like Paul told Timothy, "Do warfare by the prophetic words you've received." I started speaking over his life that he would be everything God said he would be.
Within 7 weeks of doing that, God visited my son & delivered him from drugs.
He moved back home, became a missionary to Haiti with the Bible school, married a wonderful woman, became our church executive pastor, has 4 great kids & is a successful businessman.
So everything God told me came to pass when I started saying what God said to me about him.
