Berkshires, USA Dr Hyman uses terms such as "accidental psychiatrist" 3/2009 www.lef.org Dr. Hymans excellent suggestions may be best for psychiatric illnesses that are NOT chemical disorders. If one elects to use his good recommendations, add one new supplement each month, (Test weekly before adding to daily regimen.) in order to evaluate any increased psychotic side effects, such as increased thinking distortions or increased nightmares. Certain supplements in certain DSM categories can trigger/increase these. For the most part, his recommendations will actually improve/help the patient and his outcome. audio = http://www.nightingale.com/prod_detail~audio~3134~product~Five_Forces_Wellness.aspx The 5 Forces of Wellness: The Ultra-prevention System for Living an Active, Age-Defying, Disease-Free Life http://www.drhyman.com/7-Keys.aspx Introduction Lesson 1: Environmental Inputs Lesson 2: Inflammation Lesson 3: Hormones Lesson 4: Gut & Digestive Health Lesson 5: Detoxification Lesson 6: Energy Lesson 7: Mind Body cites the following: "Mind as Healer, Mind as Slayer, by...Kenneth Pelletier, Clinical Professor of Medicine, University of California (UCSF) and University of Arizona Schools of Medicine... Hans Selye, MD...who coined the word stress and first mapped out it biological effects... One of my long-term patients came to see me after his wife died. He suddenly had developed heart failure. His heart just wouldn’t pump. It was flooded with grief molecules – hormones like adrenalin, noradrenalin, cortisol and more. The New England Journal of Medicine recently published a study about how grief or emotional trauma can cause heart failure –literally a broken heart. Rather than give him drugs for “heart failure” as I was taught, I suggested he have healing touch – a form of energy and emotional healing. He did and dramatically recovered. Touch not medication healed his heart... Word of warning. Flee from any occult therapies/treatments. When in doubt or are uncomfortable in your spirit - don't. Stress hormones damage the hippocampus – the memory center in the brain causing memory loss and dementia ... Belonging to a group – a religious group, a bowling club, a quilting group – reduces risk of death from all causes and increases longevity despite health habits... A man I saw yesterday was completely stressed out, anxiety, had palpitations...and drank 4 martinis a night just to calm...down. He also had severe muscle cramps and eye twitches. These are obvious signs of magnesium deficiency. Stress, alcohol, caffeine and sugar all deplete magnesium." |

Eckhardt, John Rejection CD www.imactnetwork.net deliverance ministry in Flossmoor, Illinois, USA - Chicago area |
Hammond, Frank D Overcoming Rejection proposes that the "root" behind paranoia is the fear of rejection. This fear of rejection may result in self rejection. Some people even despise looking at themselves in a mirror. Self rejection opens the door to other personalities. Rejection (from self or others) can cause a wound through which emotional disorders may occur. Rejection can happen in the womb, due to a negative attitude of the parents. A paranoid personality may result from an inherited curse/psychiatric disease due to the parents' not knowing/taking advantage of spiritual warfare. www.thechildrensbread.net |

Understanding Paranoid Personalities by Bruce Narramore 2005 vol 47
#1 Psychology for Living
www.ncfliving.org publication Narramore condends that
paranoid personalities often use the defense mechanism called projection
where the individual attributes his own thoughts, feelings or desires to
another. If a paranoid individual is angry, he may see others as
angry or condemning him. To be diagnosed paranoid one must have at
least 4 of the following 7 ongoing symptoms: (1) Be suspicious of other exploiting, harming or deceiving. (2) Be preoccupied with unjustified doubts about loyalty or trustworthiness of others. (3) Be reluctant to confide in others, lest the information be used against oneself. (4) Read hidden meanings (often threatening or demeaning) into benign comments that others make. (5) Persistently bear grudges. Seldom forgive insults and slights. (6) Think others have attacked character or reputations (though others do not see this) and react with anger or counterattacks. (7) Suspect that spouse is being adulterous. When we daily expect harm from others or Satan, then we are our own worst enemy. |
