Axe, Dr, - https://draxe.com/nutrition/sarsaparilla/ - "Once European travelers brought the plant back to the colonies & elsewhere, it became a common medical treatment for infections, including syphilis & other sexually transmitted diseases.
In fact, in the U.S. from about 1820-1910, it was registered in the official U.S. Pharmacopoeia as an effective treatment for syphilis."

Sarsaparilla - https://www.drugs.com/npp/sarsaparilla.html - The Spanish physician Nicolás Monardes described using sarsaparilla to treat syphilis in 1574. In 1812, Portuguese soldiers suffering from syphilis recovered faster if sarsaparilla was taken to treat the disease versus (toxic) mercury, the standard treatment at the time.4 Sarsaparilla has been used by many cultures for other ailments as well, including skin diso ers, arthritis, fever, digestive disorders, leprosy,
and cancer.
1, 4 Late 15th century accounts of the&entification & first descriptions of American drugs include sarsaparilla.5 Sarsaparilla was used as a medicinal plant in American and European remedies in the 16th century as well.6 Sarsaparilla has been used for treating syphilis & other sexually transmitted diseases throughout the world & was documented as an adjuvant for leprosy treatment in 1959.7 S.China (Ba Qia or Jin Gang Teng) was included in the 2010 Chinese Pharmacopoeia.8 ...(There has been indication of possible use) against Candida albicans.12, 35 Butanol extracts of S. china showed activity against HIV in vitro.36 ...
In castrated mice with induced benign prostatic hyperplasia, extracts from S. china reduced dihydrotestosterone levels & histopathological examination reveals possible protective effect against prostate enlargement.

Sarsaparilla - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smilax_ornata - Smilax ornata is used as the basis for a soft drink frequently called sarsaparilla. It is also a primary ingredient in old fashioned-style root beer,[10] in conjunction with sassafras,[11] which was more widely available prior to studies of its potential health risks.[12]...Smilax ornata was considered by Native Americans to have medicinal properties, & was a popular European treatment for syphilis when it was introduced from the New World.[13] From 1820-1910, it was registered in the U.S. Pharmacopoeia as a treatment for syphilis.  Also referenced is: http://www.nutrasanus.com/sarsaparilla.html

Sarsaparilla (nhc.com) 2022 - "European physicians describe using its root as a blood purifier, diuretic & diaphoretic (to induce sweating). The variety of sarsaparilla found in Mexico became a treatment for syphilis & rheumatism. From 1820 to 1910, the U.S. Pharmacopeia listed sarsaparilla as possessing medicinal actions that may be useful in the treatment of syphilis & rheumatism.(8) Other written texts about herbs & their uses also suggest that sarsaparilla has mechanisms that help to address syphilis, herpes, rheumatic affections, passive general dropsy, gonorrhoeal rheumatism, & for general use with other sexual diseases & joint related disorders. (9)  In American culture, sarsaparilla drinks (root beer) are often presented as popular among ranchers & cowboys. The popularity of sarsaparilla in the early 19th century may be attributed to its use as a treatment of syphilis. While North American Indians used it as a tonic to help sustain youth & sexual prowess. Among doctors & medicine men, sarsaparilla was known as a general ‘cure-all’ that could be used to rejuvenate humans & livestock.(10)(11)"  [Suggested use to treat syphilis was formly part of pocket USA army manual (apparently untul the use of penicillin.)]

Syphilis @ https://ndc.services.cdc.gov/case-definitions/syphilis-2018/ - "

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum.
Syphilis is passed from person to person through direct contact with a syphilitic chancre. Chancres occur mainly on the external genitals, vagina, anus, or in the rectum but can also occur on the lips & in the mouth. Transmission of the organism occurs during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Pregnant women with the disease can transmit it through the placenta to the fetus or at birth to the neonate. Many people infected with syphilis do not have any symptoms for years, yet remain at risk for late complications if they are not treated. Although transmission occurs from persons with chancres who are in the primary or secondary stage, many of these chancres are unrecognized. Thus, transmission may occur from persons who are unaware of their infection.
In the United States, testing for syphilis is currently being done using two algorithms. The traditional 1 has consisted of initial screening with an inexpensive nontreponemal test, followed by retesting reactive specimens with a more specific treponemal test."

Sarsaparilla root - US army medics used to give to soldiers who had (VD) venereal disease per world war army booklets.
Sarsaparilla root - http://www.rain-tree.com/reports/sarsaparilla-techreport.pdf (edited) A Smilax root from Mexico was introduced into European medicine in 1536, where it developed a strong following as a cure for syphilis & rheumatism.1
Since this time, the Smilax genus has had a long history of use for syphilis & other STD throughout the world.
With its reputation as a blood purifier, it was registered as an official herb in the U.S.
Pharmacopoeia as a syphilis treatment from 1820-1910.
Since the 1500s, sarsaparilla has been used as a blood purifier, general tonic, gout, syphilis, wounds, skin diseases, gonorrhea, rheumatism, venereal disease, arthritis, fever, cough, scrofula, tension, digestive disorders, psoriasis & cancer.
Sarsaparilla contains plant steroids: sarsasapogenin, smilagenin, sitosterol, stigmasterol, & pollinastanol;
& the saponins: sarsasaponin, smilasaponin, sarsaparilloside, & sitosterol glucoside.2
The majority of sarsaparilla’s pharmacological properties & actions have been attributed to these steroids & saponins.
The saponins have been reported to facilitate the body’s absorption of other drugs & phytochemicals,2,3
which accounts for its use in herbal formulas as an agent for bioavailability & herbal enhancement.
Saponins & plant steroids in many plant species (including sarsaparilla) can be synthesized into human steroids eg. estrogen & testosterone.

"Through its immune-enhancing properties,
anti-spirochete actions, & ability to bind endotoxins & purify the bloodstream, sarsaparilla is a well-rounded, beneficial herb in the treatment & prevention of Lyme disease...
A French physician Nicholas Monardes described, in 1574, the use of sarsaparilla to treat syphilis...
The Chinese also used sarsaparilla to treat syphilis, & through blood tests showed that sarsaparilla
was effective in 90% of cases of acute syphilis & 50% of cases of chronic syphilis.
(Murray MT. The Healing Power of Herbs: The Enlightened Personʼs guide to the Wonders of Medicinal Plants.
2nd ed.  Rocklin, CA; Prima Publishing: 1995:7.)
(Also used by USA army in times past to treat syphilis.)
Sarsaparilla - "Sarsaparilla root & sassafras root are different.  The plants they come from are even more so...
Sarsaparilla (Similax) is a vine whereas sassafras is a tree. Mexican & Jamaican Sarsaparilla are of the same genus, however Indian is NOT. It's more of a shrub. Flavors are similar & all can be used in place of 1 another, with subtle differences...
One I have now, has an aroma similar to vanilla with a bitter flavor similar to cinnamon without the heat. Varieties (again, not sure which ones) I've had in the past were not as strong on the vanilla aroma.  Sassafras is more of a slightly bitter & sweet flavor with an astringent/tingly/numbing mouthfeel like yarrow but less pronounced." 7/2/2013

The Jamaican (aka Honduran) Sarsaparilla is the plant Smilax regelii, also seen as Smilax ornata.
The Mexican Sarsaparilla is
Smilax aristolochiaefolia, a plant of the same genus & family as the Jamaican variety.
Indian Sarsaparilla, however, is from an unrelated plant:
Hemidesmus indicus, also known as False Sarsaparilla.
However, it is often used as a (less expensive) chapaer substitute for the other varieties, as it is widespread in India.

STIs @ What Does Yellow Discharge Mean? 6 Common Causes (miracare.com) - There are a number of STIs that can cause yellow discharge. STIs are simply infections (diseases) that are passed along among sexual partners, the most common of which include: ChlamydiaGonorrheaGenital wartsGenital herpesHuman papillomavirus (HPV)ScabiesSyphilisTrichomoniasisIf left untreated, STIs can be potentially dangerous to you & partner. For example, chlamydia & gonorrhea may lead to infertility, & others can lead to cancer or other serious health problems.
Symptoms
- In addition to yellow or yellowish-green discharge, other common symptoms of STIs include
Painful urination or intercourse, Lumps, growths, blisters, sores, or rashes around vagina & anus &/or Vaginal bleeding.
If you frequently have unprotected sex, it’s a good idea to have regular STI tests at your doctor’s office.
This is because certain STIs, such as trichomoniasis, may not cause any physical symptoms.
Treatment - Unfortunately, some STIs like herpes simplex virus, human papillomavirus (HPV) & human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cannot be cured. Other STIs can easily be treated with antibiotics if caught early enough.
Treatment will vary depending on the type of STI that you have, so always speak with your doctor if you think you may have an STI.

Syphilis is traditionally treatable with penicillin shots or 4 azithromycin long-acting pills since 1940's,
but now a resistant strain has arisen. 7/8/2004 www.wsj.com
Syphilis - https://www.sciencedirect.com/sdfe/pdf/download/eid/1-s2.0-S0140673602844786/fir (edited excerpt) from the Lancelet 12/18/1841 - "The juice of a plant called guaia- cum. The early historians of the New World, Gonçalo Fernandez de Oviedo, Lopez de Gomara, & Gerome Benzoni, all agree in stating that we are indebted to the inhabitants of the West India islands for this valuable remedy against the loathsome disease which it was supposed we had derived from them. The latter of these writers gives the following explanation of the 1st introduction of this celebrated vegetable into Europe : 'A Spaniard suffering severely from syphilis, which he had contracted from an Indian woman, was attended by 1 of the natives, who gave him a (sarsasparilla tea) decoction of guaiacum to drink, which removed the symptoms in a short time & perfectly restored him to health. Many other Spaniards, from his example, were cured by the same means, and who, on returning to their own country, published the circumstance.' Novæ Novi Orbis Historiæ, lib. i., cap. 17. Other authors have made similar statements & there can be no doubt but that the Spaniards learned the use of this drug from the Indians & that having experienced its efficacy in their own persons, andwitnessed its curative effects on the inhabitants of South America, they imported it as an article of commerce into Spain, where it appears to have been 1st known in Europe as a remedy against the venereal disease."

Trichomoniasis @ What Does Yellow Discharge Mean? 6 Common Causes (miracare.com) -

Another potential cause of yellow discharge is trichomoniasis, often called “trich”, is a type of sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can be passed along during intercourse. Trichomoniasis can cause frustrating & painful symptoms & it may also increase our risk of contracting other sexually transmitted infections.
Symptoms - In addition to yellow & yellowish-green discharge, trich can also cause the following symptoms:
Painful urination & sex, Itchiness or burning sensation around the vagina & vulva, Increased volume of discharge that may be thin or “frothy” in texture &/or Foul-smelling odor.  However, bear in mind that only 30% of individuals with trichomoniasis experience symptoms. (You may want) to have regular (medical) check-up... Treatment - Treatment of trichomoniasis often involves antibiotics...

Scripture

Proverbs 5 - 1Listen to me, my son! I know what I am saying; listen!
2
Watch yourself, lest you be indiscreet & betray some vital information.

3
For the lips of a prostitute
[a] are as sweet as honey, & smooth flattery is her stock-in-trade.

4
But afterwards only a bitter conscience is left to you,
[b] sharp as a double-edged sword.
5 She leads you down to death & hell.
6 For she does not know the path to life. She staggers down a crooked trail & doesn’t even realize where it leads.
7 Young men, listen to me, & never forget what I’m about to say: 8 Run from her! Don’t go near her house,

9
lest you fall to her temptation & lose your honor, & give the remainder of your life to the cruel & merciless;
[c]

10
lest strangers obtain your wealth, & you become a slave of foreigners.

11
Lest afterwards you groan in anguish & in shame when syphilis
[d] consumes your body,
12 and you say, “Oh, if only I had listened! If only I had not demanded my own way!
13
Oh, why wouldn’t I take advice? Why was I so stupid?
14 For now I must face public disgrace.”
15 Drink from your own well, my son, be faithful & true to your wife.
16
Why should you beget children with women of the street?

17
Why share your children with those outside your home?
18 Be happy, yes, rejoice in wife of your youth.
19 Let her breasts & tender embrace[e] satisfy you. Let her love alone fill you with delight.
20
Why delight yourself with prostitutes, embracing what isn’t yours?

21
For God is closely watching you, & he weighs carefully everything you do.
22 The wicked man is doomed by his own sins; they are ropes that catch & hold him.
23 He shall die because he will not listen to the truth; he has let himself be led away into incredible folly.
