Bacterial Infections

Alternative Medicine

Ammonia can kill bacteria such as e-coli.  Use with tap water on cloth to wipe surfaces.  Keep room well aerated. Never mix with other cleaners such as chlorine bleach, vinegar, alcohol, etc.  Never drink.  Keep all cleaners separate, never mixing.  Keep all cleaners locked, away from children.
Astragalus, echinacea, garlic, vitamin C are great to take for anyone who is pregnant to ward off step b infections.  http://www.preciouspassage.com/treating_group_b_strep.htm
Garlic helps cure many types of infections.  Base line is 1/2 to 2 whole cloves daily per James E O'Brien in mini magazine The Miracle of Nature's Healing Foods published by Glove Communications Corp.

Parsley (Petroselinum Crispum Mill) and mentha (Mentha piperita L) herbs may retard streptococcus B infections. Corylidin, Angladin and Psoralen, inhibited growth of Pseudomonas putida , E. Coli and Rhizobium meloloti (gm−ve bacteria), while Pereflorin B inhibited Streptococcus lactis and Bacillus subtilis (gm+ve bacteria). Corylidin, Angladin and Pereflorin B compounds were isolated from Parsley herb under the influence of Cercospora petroselini infection.  Parsley and mentha samples showed increase in the concentration of Cu ions in the leaves (after being dried in the microwave oven). Some medicinal components were produced under the effect of these stress agents (infection and treatment). Psoralen was isolated from samples treated with Cu salts. (Remember, commercially dried herbs have often been irradiated and thus are often dead foods.  Remember to stay with organic, non-irradiated and non-genetically-altered herbs.)

Raw Manuka honey is renown for healing open battlefield wounds + hard to heal wounds/sores in the hospital. Applied to skin.  Used in 1550 by Egyptians.  Contains hydrogen peroxide.  Honey must have rating of 4%+ of antiseptic ability as compared to phenol (carbolic disinfectant) for a rating as 'active honey' such as Manuka, Rewarewa and Wild Flora.  Manuka has an additional anti-bacterial component (UMF/unique Manuka factor - called active UMF 10+) in addition to it's hydrogen peroxide. Manuka honey can be purchased in strengths of 5%-20%.  Cr Peter Molan of University of Waikato is cited for his research. Rosemary leaves  http://www.indianetzone.com/1/rosemary_leaves.htm   The pressed leaf juice can be used as a staff infection antibacterial.  (Some labs use rosemary leaves to provide their vitamin B3.)
Yogurt may contain 7 natural antibiotics and destroy causes of botulism, salmonella and staphylococcus.  1-3 cups a day low-fat or skim milk plain yogurt is recommended. James E O'Brien mini magazine The Miracle of Nature's Healing Foods published by Globe Communications Corp. (Make sure the healthy bacteria are LIVE in your yogurt.  Read label.)
Food Inc 2009 movie/DVD says that the animal feed industry uses ammonia to kill e-coli and other toxic bacteria.  Certainly, we too can do a (diluted) ammonia wash prior to cooking and/or eating.

Dach, Dr Jeffrey  The FDA's Latest Outrage, No Limits on Bt Toxin in Food  recommended reading http://jeffreydach.com/2008/08/20/fda-eliminates-upper-limits-for-food-toxins-by-jeffrey-dach-md.aspx
"
The FDA's latest outrage is the August 6, 2008 proposed rule to eliminate safety limits for the Bt toxin found in genetically engineered foods.  To provide insect resistance for crops, the Bt gene from a bacteria called
Bacillus thuringiensisis is placed into the corn plant, a common method used in genetic engineering (GMO food, genetically modified organism)...
Starlink Bt Corn by Aventis was banned from human consumption because of safety concerns, and Aventis paid 9 million dollars to settle a class action law suit claiming negligence in causing health problems.  Aventis paid another 110 million dollars to farmers for being a "public nuisance" and causing genetic pollution of the seed crop.(2)  Bt modified Starlink corn has been banned from human consumption in the US because of safety issues."

MRSA bacteria is running rampant in public areas such as high school football locker rooms.  Extra daily school and home precautions are a must.  MRSA behaves somewhat like leprosy.  Ugh.  Frequent washing of sports/gym clothing and skin (using recommended hospital protocol methods), spraying Lysol on common area surfaces, plus using portable ultraviolet lights (in public areas such as hotel/restaurant/airplane bathrooms) may help sanitize/kill/dry-out the bacteria.
"Within the UV spectrum of sunlight lie three distinct bands of light: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C.
Long wave UV light (315nm-400nm) or UV-A, refers to what we commonly call “black light”. This is the longest wavelength region and lowest energy; it represents the largest portion of natural UV.
Midrange UV light (280nm-315nm) or UV-B, is what causes sunburns.

Germicidal UV light (200nm-280nm) or UV-C
, is effective in microbial control. Research has demonstrated that within this UV-C band the most efficient frequency for microbial destruction is between 254nm and 265nm. Germicidal lamps that the majority of their output is in this range will be the most effective in ultraviolet sanitizing." (such as one Cleanse Light shown on show @ www.cleanseLight.com)
