Understanding

Anthrax - A high school USA student figured out that anthrax carried in the mail can be killed by ironing the mail envelope 5 minutes using the highest setting.  Journal of Medical Toxology Feb/March 2006 or Fresh Air WBUR radio 2/23/06

ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

Luteolin flavonoid in herbs/vegetables as parsley, olives, rosemary, and celery binds with surface spike proteins on SARS virus, blocking its entry into host cell. 2/2006 www.lef.org

Organic Spices  Are McCormick products irradiated? http://mccormick.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/mccormick.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php? McCormick says it does NOT irradiate its spices, but does not address imports which are required to be irradiated (sterilized).
Zeolite's "binding power (of bentonite volcanic clay) was proven during the Chernobyl disaster, when tons of it were used to remove radioactive cesium and strontium-90 before they contaminated local water systems."     excellent editorial    TreeofLife Zeolite Detoxification.doc http://www.gordonresearch.com/articles_zeolite/TreeofLife_ZeoliteDetoxification.doc

SCRIPTURE

Exodus 23:25 NKJV  So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water.  "I will take sickness away from the midst of you."

DANGER

Castor bean plant "seeds and to some extent the foliage are poisonous, containing the compound  ricin...said to have 'many of the poisonous characteristics of a bacterial toxin' ...and pure ricin is one of the most poisonous compounds known.  Heat inactivates the ricin (a protein) contained in the seeds."
Arvigo and Balick Rainforest Remedies - 100 Healing Herbs of Belize  Lotus Press
Ricin is castor oil waste pulp from castor beans.  Even castor oil contains a residue of ricin poison. Growers need to register.  If exposed in USA phone 1-800-222-1222.  www.wsj.com  2/4/04
Ricin is a protein that even when touched is toxic. It is in the seed pumice, leaves, stem, etc.  Proper manufacturing can result in a fairly safe oil to be used externally to improve circulation of lymph, blood, etc. Typical application is on pads or very lightly on feet to be covered with socks.  Immediately stop if you break out in hives or if your heart rate increases too much.
Ley, Beth M Castor Oil  based on works of  William McGarey and Edgar Cayce www.blpublications.com
Castor bean plant, Ricinus communis   http://www.ansci.cornell.edu/plants/castorbean.html Beware of castor bean seed necklaces. Danger! Castor bean seeds contain 2 protein toxins - ricin and RCA (Ricinus communis agglutinin).
Castor bean plant, Ricinus communis  http://chemistry.about.com/cs/toxicchemicals/a/aa040403a.htm  "Ricin works its harm by destroying small parts of cells, called ribosomes. Ribosomes produce all of the proteins needed by a cell. If the proteins cannot be produced, the cell dies...Once the (ricin) proteins are purified, the powdered toxin can be used to contaminate food or beverages. Ricin is heat-stable, so it can be applied to shrapnel within an explosive device. Possibly the greatest concern about ricin used as a weapon is that symptoms of poisoning can readily misdiagnosed."
"Ingestion of a castor bean or its products will release ricin, but the RCA (protein) cannot cross the intestinal wall...Injection of RCA into the bloodstream essentially causes a person's blood to coagulate."

Gulf War Syndrome Gets Real spring 2009 http://www.bu.edu/bostonia/spring09/gulf-war/
"A congressionally mandated panel, made up of leading scientists, medical experts, and military veterans, charged with shaping federal health research related to the 1991 Middle East conflict has concluded that Gulf War syndrome is a real medical condition and that it afflicts at least one in four of the 697,000 U.S. veterans who fought in Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. The landmark report... Research Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans’ Illnesses ...calls on Congress to appropriate $60 million for treatment of Gulf War vets.  Veterans of the first Gulf War have been plagued by symptoms of ill health, including fatigue, problems with thinking, skin lesions, and gastrointestinal upset, since their return 17 years ago."

10/20/2010 - Israel begins work on world's largest underground hospital - http://www.israeltoday.co.il/default.aspx?tabid=178&nid=22075 "The new facility, which is expected to be completed 5/2012, will during times of peace act as a parking garage for the 1,500 employees at the existing Rambam Hospital (Haifa, N Israel). In the event of an attack, the structure can be rapidly transformed into a 2,000-bed hospital capable of withstanding conventional, biological or chemical attacks.  The need for such a facility became clear during the 2006 2nd Lebanon War, when Rambam and other hospitals in northern Israel were targeted repeatedly by Hizballah missiles."
