"Gout is a form of arthritis" that can cause "pain & swelling, usually in the big toe, although other joints can be affected, such as the knee, ankle & foot. It can also cause tenderness, redness, & warmth. Gout is caused by a build-up of uric acid in the blood. Uric acid comes from the natural breakdown of the genetic material in cells (RNA & DNA). Because our body is constantly breaking things down, there is always uric acid present. Some foods contain large amounts of pre-cursors to uric acid, called purines. Purines are particularly high in red meats, organ meats (liver & kidneys) & shellfish (+ anchovies, sardines, cod, trout, venision, turkey, alcohol) Astonishingly, purines are also fairly high in spinach, asparagus, legumes & broccoli... Foods that contain a moderate level of purines are duck, chicken, ham, beef, lobsters, lima beans. Foods that contain little, if any, purines are fruits, most green vegetables, grains, tomatoes... When uric acid levels rise beyond a certain point, uric acid crystals form & collect in the joint or joints, causing pain. These crystals can also build-up in other organs of the body, causing damage." Recommended foods/herbs to reduce purines/uric acid are cherries, celery seeds, tumeric, oats, apple cider vinegar & avocados. |

(Smith Wigglesworth) said, "Tomorrow, you go get some shoes." The man said, "Go get shoes?" (Wigglesworth) said, "Yes, I want you to go get shoes." He had no feet. By faith, I guess he caught it from Smith, this man went to the shoe store. He bought the shoes. So the shoe salesman, with great trepidation, puts these shoes on these stubs. They grew feet right in front of his eyes.
