6/25/05 www.bostonherald.com  www.steroids.org   Steroids may trigger baldness, sleep problems, nausea & vomiting, stroke & blood clots, liver damage & cancer, high blood pressure & heart disease, urinary &  bowel problems, diarrhea, headaches, aching joints & muscle cramps, increased ligament & tendon injuries, acne, hallucinations, paranoia, anxiety & panic attacks, depression and suicidal ideation, angry/hostile/irritable mood, rage, aggressive/violent behavior.  In adolescents steroids may stop growth plus may trigger dependence or other additions.  In males steroids may reduce sperm count, increase prostate, nipple & breast size, plus cause impotence.  In females steroids may reduce breast size, deepen voice, increase facial & body hair, plus interfere with menstrual cycle.
