Raw Manuka honey is renown for healing open battlefield wounds +
hard to heal wounds/sores in the hospital. Used in 1550 by Egyptians. Contains hydrogen peroxide. Honey must have rating of 4%+ of antiseptic ability as compared to phenol (carbolic disinfectant) for a rating as 'active honey' such as Manuka, Rewarewa and Wild Flora. Manuka has an additional anti-bacterial component (UMF/unique Manuka factor - called active UMF 10+) in addition to it's hydrogen peroxide. Manuka honey can be purchased in strengths of 5%-20%. Old-Fashioned Remedies Effective Against Super Bugs
Liquid
colloidal silver (taken in SMALL portions)
seems effective against methicillin-resistant
Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus
aureus (VRSA) infections. Grapefruit seed extract may be effective
for athlete's foot, mouth ulcers, eczema, and MRSA. A combination of eucalyptus oil, lavender oil and tea tree oil may be more effective than conventional antibiotics for MRSA and E coli bacteria. Raw honey, especially New Zealand manuka honey, inhibit 60 bacteria species and yeast growth; the allicin in garlic and onions inhibits MRSA; solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation types A&B plus artificial UV radiation type C reduce MRSA.
