Rye ergot can cause temporary mental illness and even subsequent death.  Ergot is a rye grain fungus that forms hallucinogenic drugs in bread.  Whole villages may have been affected in the past, exterminating the majority of residents.  Many executed witches may, in fact, may have been victims of accidental ergot poisoning.

Another DANGEROUS area is that of many alternative healing remedies.  While 90% of a healing modality may be awesome, the 10% remaining may be the root ideology, which is demonic.  Such an example is that of Llaila O Afrika practitioner in Pennsylvania www.africanholistichealthgroup.com . 
In addition, Afrika often endorses black supremacy.

Notice that some of these are accepted practices, even in the medical community. 
Yes, there can be 99% truth in a therapy, but a 1% lie can be enough to spoil/contaminate anything.

Remember, Satan attempts to copy God's work.  Satan's work is counterfeit.  The danger is disobedience to God's spiritual laws.  Separation from God may work havoc with one's soul/mind and one's salvation.

Additionally 99% of excellent/superior healing ministry may be truly of God, while the remaining 1% may be of self and/or of demons.  There will always be areas of controversy and especially of misunderstanding from outsiders.  For example, the church that believes in NO medical intervention because it is relying 100% on God, may lose a child to death.
A recent controversy is, "Did or did not Jesus die spiritually?" We would not even bring this up, except for the fact that it is attributed to renown respected men in the healing ministry.

Thus, whatever one does, do it unto the Lord, asking first permission/counsel/guidance from the Holy Spirit.  When in doubt, don't!

Wayne, like so may well intentioned individuals, has some great methods, but wrong, and potentially demonic, dangerous theologies.  Sometimes one's theology is good and the method is rotten. 
Sometimes both.  If it lines up with God's Word in scripture, you are on the right path.
In this editorial Wayne encourages us: "We can change subconscious behaviors, if we become more conscious of them.  Strategy:  Treat the part of you that encourages the behavior that you would like to change as if IT were a SEPARATE ENTITY.  IMAGINE that IT has a PHYSICAL FORM.  Have conversations with IT.  Explain to IT that you know IT's accustomed to being in control, but now you have taken charge.  Example:  When the LITTLE CREATURE INSIDE ME that loves sugar encourages me to drink soda or eat dessert, I tell IT that I'm now in charge and that I've decided to reduce my sugar intake."
Basically, the "self talk" that we all experience is typically (a) programming from our childhood/past experiences, such as momma telling us not to eat that cookie before dinner, or (b) a spirit. If the IT we
are talking to contradicts what God tells us in holy scripture, then we know that it is an evil spirit speaking!
Obviously, our fallen human nature, our soul/mind/emotions/will can also influence us, but that would NOT be sinister/evil, like suggesting that we kill/murder/destroy/hate another or harm ourself.
Most Africans KNOW there are evil spirits.  Most Americans do NOT.  Satan loves secrecy.

Yes, Creation of God, there is a good and a bad, a real good and a real bad, a good God and a bad devil.  There is a real spiritual war going on inside of men and women and the battlefield is inside of us.  What we think and especially what we speak does affect the outcome of this daily spiritual battle.
Occultic methods, especially hypnosis, do NOT heal, but rather harm.  They may seem to heal, but more invisible harm than visible good has transpired.
Satan does not care about your body or mind.  It is your spirit that he wants to capture.  He is the master or deceit and lies.

2 points.  Satin is the author of sickness/disease, so he can remove one disease/demon and add another at the same time. 
2nd, many Godly principles when applied will work for most anyone, regardless of doctrine/origin/destiny.  For instance, if a tribal medicine man or medical doctor uses a certain herb to heal, that herb in all likelihood will heal a man whether he is good or bad, believer or unbeliever.  Father God is the author of that plant and its chemical ingredients.  His Son is Doctor Jesus, healer.
An additional red flag is that Jed strongly advocates "Kundalini Yoga" and "Kabbalah". 
The word "Spirit Guide" is boldly posted on his web site; spirit guides are demons or persons guided by demons! Jed's book is entitled Spiritual Scientific Healing  Jay states that "Your Spiritual nature is your Higher Power, where you receive inspiration and guidance. Through Spiritual Recognition and the remaining four steps in the formula, direction is given through the Law of Mind, the subconscious side of your being, to  your thoughts, feelings, emotions and choices, to  provide for you, the life you desire."  
In fact, God's Holy Spirit, NOT our own human spiritual nature, is our Higher Power.  Neither is the evil spirit our higher power, although, we may inadvertently invite him into our life, through Satan's deceit and trickery.   His philosophy is theory not truth/fact.  See HEART_MIND_WILL .

Hay,  Louise L     Hay is a counselor/proponent/advocate of New Age/astrology/metaphysics.  www.louisehay.com  or www.hayhouse.com       Much of her spiritual advocacy is directed to female victims of abuse via replacing one's old thought/ mental patterns with healing affirmations.  Rather than using the words of Christ, she uses positive speech to replace negative attitudes and negative emotions.  In correcting spinal "misalignments" [of cervical spine (1C/atlas to 7C), thoracic spine (1T-12T), Lumbar spine (1L-5L), sacrum, and coccyx] she attributes negative attitudes such as fear to each defect/problem and realigns/corrects with correct/affirmative speech.
Her book Heal Your Body refers to Divine Infinite Intelligence.  The Trinity are 3 Persons and NOT an it or an intelligence.  She also refers to channeling, which is demonic.
Like the Christian from Georgia, Reverend Henry Wright,  www.pleasantvalleychurch.net   Hay has a name/antonym and a cure for each negative emotion/curse plus a cure via correct affirmations.
Her labels/diagnosis may be incorrect, but her remedy initially follows the Word of God in that holy affirmations are a blessing helping to reverse a curse. 
One problem is that spoken mantras/spiritual prayers other than to God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are a great danger to one's soul/spirit.  Many of our maladies originate with evil spirits, or later on become infected/infested with evil spirits - out of our ignorance/heredity/contamination/association. 
Remember, Satan is the great counterfeiter and will use any half-truth, any means, legal or not, to gain control/the upper hand in our lives.
One huge protection for any individual is to have read (especially out lour) the instruction manual, the Bible, cover to cover, preferably annually.
This is NOT an intellectual textbook.  It is understood spiritually.  Always ask for the Holy Spirit to tutor you.  Blessings.
It is true that there is a guardian angel for each of us to implement each positive utterance; however there is also a demon assigned to us to carry out each negative utterance.
God's holy words always have the strongest power (over any affirmation and over any curse or negative word) when thought or spoken out loud.  One reason that is true is that when demons are the root cause of a problem, it takes superior power to exterminate/exorcise/cast them out.  Sweet talk and good motives are impotent to do holy miracles.
