Exodus 33:12-23 NIV 12Moses said to the Lord, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but You have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name (and have said that) You have found favor with me.' 13If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know You and continue to find favor with You. Remember that this nation is Your people."
14The Lord replied, "My presence will go with you and I will give you rest."
15 Then Moses said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16How will anyone know that You are pleased with me and with Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?"

21Then the Lord said, "There is a place near Me where you may stand on a rock. 22When My Glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with My Hand, until I have passed by. 23Then I will remove My Hand and you will see My Back; but My Face must not be seen."

The Israelites have rejected Your covenant, broken down Your altars, and put Your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left. Now they are trying to kill me, too."
15The Lord said to him, "Go back the way you came, and to to the Desert of Damascus. when you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram. 16Also, anoint Jehu, son of Nimshi, over Israel. Revelation 4:1-2 KJV A door was opened in heaven. The 1st voice I (John) heard was as of (like) a trumpet talking with me. It said, "come up here. I will show you things which must be hereafter." Immediately I was in the Spirit (world and out of my body). Behold, a throne was set in heaven and (the Holy) One sat on the throne.
Revelation 4:6 JNTP In front of the throne was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
[Spiritual Insight = For all practical purposes, could this (or the Ezekiel 1:26 dome) be the glass ceiling through which Christians must pass to enter into G-d's presence?]

"This phrase (cool of the evening) is the Hebrew word 'reuch,' which is translated wind, breath, or Spirit in the Old Testament, and describes the nature of God when He moves...He comes like a 'Divine Wind,' announcing His arrival...In the beginning...the Spirit moved upon the face of the waters,' (Genesis 1;1-2). Genesis 1:2 reveals how God moved or hovered (like a helicopter) over the earth...waiting for us. The 'Glory Cloud' was there, but man was not...
(Other scriptures indicate) the description of the Glory-Cloud as fluttering or hovering over...with outspread wings."
Lake mentions the hovering over Mary. Luke 1:35 TNAB The angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Host High will overshadow you.". What seems to be continually happening is like that of a bird nesting on/clucking/brooding over/incubating its eggs/offspring!
Lake cites Ezekiel 1:24, 10:5 The sound of the coming of the cloud is the sound of the wings. "Theologians call this cloud a 'theophany,' meaning a visible manifestation of God...The Old Testament often uses the term Spirit as a synonym for the Cloud, ascribing the same function to both (Nehemiah 9:19-20; Isaiah 4:4-4; Joel 2:28-31; Haggai 2:5)." Such a parent/mama will NOT be deterred until that child is hatched/born, nursed/fed, flying/walking, and self sufficient (doing what it was born to do and be).
To be "born-again" is NOT sufficient. To have the "baptism in the Holy Spirit" is insufficient. To have a ministry is NOT to have arrived. To have all the gifts of the Holy Spirit is NOT adequate. The bottom line is relationship/intimacy with the Trinity. That is why the book of Revelation speaks of God not acknowledging many on judgment day. The degree of intimacy is the degree of spiritual revelation, for beginners.
Chapter 2 Rooms of the Heart   "Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we spend more time with God (to behold the beauty of the Lord - Psalm 27:4). Without time spent in our secret place, we are opening ourselves up to more attacks from the enemy."
Chapter 3 Touching the Heart of the King It is "OUR responsibility to cultivate' the "relationship" with the Lord. Relationships as with a mate require time spent with our beloved. It is important to find out what our lover (both mate and the Lord) wants, likes and desires. "The King of Kings is longing for a(n intimate passionate) relationship with us...The degree of access we have to God's presence is connected to the depth of our relationship with Him...An encounter (heavenly visitation) comes with relationship. There is NO formula."
Chapter 4 A Living Fellowship "What is eternal life? It is NOT just going to Heaven; it is knowing God."
Chapter 5 True Worship Touches His Heart "God spoke to me once, 'Brian, when you enter true worship, that is where I (God) will give you whatever you desire. And many will make their request...but only a rare few will ask what I (God) want." We should purpose to date the Lord, to bless Him, to give rather than to get.
Chapter 7 Friendship of the Holy Spirit Like Benny Hinn, "worship is played in my house 24 hours a day...creating an atmosphere for His presence, inviting angels, and prohibiting the enemy to come in by blocking his presence through praise...
Over time, we develop the ability to hear the sound of His voice, making it easier for us to recognize His voice and develop the relationship. Self crucifixion/denial of self/ego needs to be the essence of our relationship with Christ.
4-Union with Christ comes when we have come to the end of self, the beginning of our union with Christ and the beginning of our awareness of His beauty/awesomeness/power/delightfulness.

Hebrews 1:13 (purposely omitted in the book) explicitly cites angles to be THE ministering spirits. 2nd serious issue is with the absence of Jesus throughout the majority of the testimony. He is very scarce. That is a major concern. 3rd, Rebecca initially went to heaven as a non-believer. Her preoccupation is with the trappings of heaven and not the home owner. She seems to preaching "another gospel" like that of spiritualism? Continually test the spirits!

It appears that many of our American Spiritual forefathers who participated in the revivals of the 1st and 2nd Great Awakenings "interpreted Falling, Laughing, and other spiritual manifestations in an entirely different manner than we do today. They saw Falling as only a visible sign of invisible presence of (either an evil spirit manifesting or of the presence of holy) God, and an outward sign of an inward working of God. Those who truly desire a personal visitation of My Spirit will be satisfied by a living revelation. I will drive out those who have hindered My Spirit with the same cords I used to overturn the moneychangers. My temple is being cleansed both externally and internally. Do not resist My Spirit.
Those who have responded to My message of the Kingdom will experience My righteousness, peace and joy. Moreover, I will advance you with favor and compassion to platforms of influence and authority.
Do not fear those who can kill your body, but fear those who have the power (once you have died) to cast both body and soul into the lake of fire.
The fear of the Lord will have a fresh new prominence in the world again, for I long to release my wisdom into the world to empower the weak and poor and shame the mighty and powerful.
Those with NO names (whose hearts have stayed pure and humble before Me) will receive dreams and visions for solutions to many problems created from the greed and lusts of men. Chapter 2 The Lord Lives in a Battered Tent reminds us that the time we reserve for Him in daily prayer is the time He covets to be with us, to bless/love/heal/talk to us; we are NOT to give His time and relationship away to another. (Ps 41:12) David then turned around and said, 'Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.' (Ps 84:9) David understood and knew that he had this face to face relationship. The Lord knew David face to face and he often spoke of this!

Having been out of his homeland many many years, a friend shared that it was sometimes hard to think in his native language and hard to teach or converse in other languages, without 1st thinking in the other languages. Intimacy can be like that. Absence does affect one's relationship, especially one's relationship with Father God, His son, and His Holy Spirit. Absence affects marriages, friendships, and most of all our answers to prayer. Take time to develop the intimacy our mate, Jesus, is looking for.
Consider. We are a chip off the block, of our parents, but also of God, for He made us in His image (DNA/spiritual nature/character potential/ability to be just like Jesus), according to scripture. Consider. When there is a broken family relationship, we all hurt emotionally. Thus, we can also recognize, if we think about it, that papa God might also have a broken heart, if there is a broken relationship between us and Him. He might NEED our love and much as we NEED Him to love us. A major way to mend a relationship is to spend TIME together. Let us begin to spend more time with papa God.
Let us pray something like this, "Papa, God, we apologize for our hurting You. Please forgive us. We did not understand the depth to which you need us, the degree to which You want to spend time with us and love on us. We know that we need You to love on us, but we forgot love is a 2 way street. Please help us to make You happy. Please forgive us for our self centeredness and our self sufficiency. We enlist our guardian angel to help us please You. Thanks. In Jesus name we pray. Amen."

Hit and Run, Drive Through, Quick Fix, High, Orgasm, Rape, and related mentality approaches to God is a selfish me/myself/I mentality similar to a one sided relationship such as often found in marriage. Most of us want the gift but not the giver, the prize but not the relationship. I once heard that our degree/level of relationship with God will carry on over into heaven, so that there will be others behind and before, depending on one's intimacy with the Trinity.
The longer we sit and wait on and with God, the better. We need to listen, watch, and wait for Him.
What if our mate was dying and we could not or would not sit by his/her bedside for hours on end, doing nothing, but holding his/her hand? Would we be willing to do that?
That is the kind of daily attention that God demands of us, according to many spiritual heroes. God often speaks in whispers, so we need to be quiet enough to hear Him.

Typically, God fixes the spirit 1st, next the mind, and last the body. (Not always in that order!)
Whereas doctors typically work on the flesh they can see, psychiatrists on the mind they cannot see, and pastors on the invisible spirit.
God uses the death and resurrection of His Son to make available entry into His kingdom/family.
Salvation (being born again) mends/doctors the human spirit (and sometimes the soul/mind of the person)
and gives the individual (his spirit) a spiritual: birth certificate/family membership/citizenship/passport,
whereas the often 2nd operation of the holy Spirit (called confirmation in the Catholic church),
the baptism of the Holy Spirit (typically initiates the healing of the soul/mind and gives us the Carpenter's tools to continue fixing the broken parts of our psyche. We begin to witness evidence of the Holy Spirit's fruit (peace, kindness, gentleness, peace, love) in ourselves.
As we DAILY spend more time with Father, Son and Holy Spirit and more time reading scripture out loud to our human and spiritual ears, we begin to be able to see Their gifts (healing, deliverance, miracles) operate in our own bodies.

The person who reads all books on child care will never be qualified without experience. The person who reads all the books on marriage will never be adequate without a mate. The person who reads all the books on surgery will never operate without internship. The person who reads all the books on teaching will never cope without an apprenticeship/student teaching. Head knowledge will NEVER make one ready, although it is an important/significant stepping stone. Experiential knowledge is the other half of head knowledge. Hunger/desperation/quest/zeal for Christ is needed. This leads one from engagement to consummation, such as in a marriage. Never quit. One is NEVER to assume he has or is adequate/qualified/arrived! Pursue Christ until He catches you, again, and again, and again.
One never knows an author intimately, even if one has read all his books. One never knows the Lord intimately, even if one has read all His written works. Intimacy is a daily living together, in an ongoing relationship. The Trinity wants that intimacy as much as we the bride/mate want it. Ask for intimacy and pursue (like a hunter or warrior), as illustrated in the Song of Solomon book of the Old Testament.

Marriage bed intimacy requires constant tending. It requires ongoing relationship. Likewise when the church became the bride of Jesus, stoking the relationship becomes utmost in importance. Now God requires that we are in continual relationship with Him. It is a 2 way street. We need to court Him, but He likewise wants to court, mentor and dance with us. The more we court Him, the better the relationship. The better the relationship, the more we fail to notice the shortcomings of others or of ourselves. We notice less the curses/disease symptoms; rather we focus more on His Word/promises in Scripture. We begin to be less traumatized/fearful/needy and begin to feel safety/protection in His arms.

Substitution of sucra, equal, etc for sugar; porn, sex or lust for love; addictions for emotional pain killers; etc.
Unhealthy substitutions never fix the root problem.
Likewise, our substitutions for God NEVER fix the hole in our hearts for Him. Why? The creator made us to need Him first and foremost.

Einstein's quantum physics formula helped 2001 nobel prize scientists and other researchers to discover visually and work with a new reality: individual atoms joining into/acting as one. This is in fact an illustration of what scripture says about the church. Christ is the head with the bride as His body. Spiritually the 2 become 1, the same as in marriage.

Youssef, Mike www.leadingtheway.org on his Mother's Day 2008 TV broadcast gave a program which included the explanation of the Jewish engagement. When a Jewish girl is engaged, it is neither like a signed offer to buy a piece of property nor a signed purchase and sale agreement; rather it is the actual closing contract of the sale (without one's actual moving into the house). When a Jewish couple is engaged, they are married without the bedroom consummation of marriage, after which they have to give the sheet containing the blood to the family.
Jesus proposes to each person in each generation. Our saying yes to Jesus Messiah is our spiritual engagement, a legal binding agreement, permitting us to enter heaven. Jesus did shed His blood for us, allowing our sins to be covered over, unseen by the Father.

As all the relatives, especially the blood line heirs are jockeying/lining up/cuing up to become a recipient of Dad's estate, so in the spiritual world. Each kid wants a piece of the action. But as in business, the person most likely to get the ear and the wallet of the CEO/president/boss is the toddler with the giant hugs and the chocolate kisses. So cuddle up to papa God and get intimate with Him.
Lord, we (our flesh) seem to get in the way of getting to where our heads tell us we need to be. Lord, we seem to be tripping over ourselves, preventing what is needed in our own lives. Lord help us to get out of Your way to allow Your Holy Spirit do what He needs to do to accomplish what Your heart needs/wants/requires of us. We pray in Jesus name. Amen.

COMMENTARY - Darren Wilson's Furious Love DVD - One of the pastors points out that it is imperative to know Holy Spirit on a 1st name basis, His 1st name being Holy and His sir-name being Spirit. The rest of the film points out that the bottom line undergirding all, including deliverance, is LOVE.
Since the Trinity is 3 Persons, one of the important things is to get well acquainted with the Person of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible's book of Wisdom might be a good place to begin. It is found in any Catholic translation.
Wisdom is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. However according to most scripture, Wisdom is a Person as is the Holy Spirit.
