Old Testament
(Tenach) =
Hebrew (Tanach), Yiddish or Aramaic Scripture
The Septuagint is the Greek version of the Old Testament
1st 5 books are called the Tanakh or torah or Pentateuch
(penta means 5) =
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy
Genesis 1-2:3 In the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth...And God said, "Let there be light," and there was
light (day 1)...And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters
to separate water from water."(day 2)..And God said, "Let the water under
the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear."...Then God
said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the
land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds."(day
3)...And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to
separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and
days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light
on the earth."(day 4)...And God said, "Let the water teem with living
creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky."(day
5)...And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their
kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each
according to its kind."...Then God said, "Let us make man in our image,
in our (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit = Trinity) likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the
air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that
move along the ground." So God created man in his own image, in the image
of God he created him; male and female he created them. (day 6)...God blessed the
7th day and made it holy, because on it he rested from the work of creating that
he had done.
(Spiritual Principle = What you say is what you get.
Speak out loud so your ears can hear.)
(A creative miracle is making
something out of nothing.)
Genesis 20:17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God
healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they
conceived children.
Genesis 32:26
"I will not let You (God) go unless You bless me."
Genesis 50:20 You (enemy)
conspired against me, but God meant it for good (reversed the harm).
Exodus 6:6 KJV "I am the Lord, and I
will bring you out from under the burdens (yolk = NIV)...I
will redeem you with a stretched out arm."
Exodus 6:7 KJV "I am the Lord your God, which
(Who) brings you out from under the burdens."
Exodus 12:7
They shall take the (lamb's) blood and strike it on
2 side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, where they shall eat it
(the lamb). (This is an illustration of eating
the body of Christ.)
Exodus 12:13 The blood shall be to you a token
upon the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you
and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you.
Exodus 12:23 He
(God) will see the (lamb's) blood
(representing
Jesus' blood covering our confessed and forgiven sins) on the top
and side of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and He will not
permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.
Exodus 14:14
The Lord shall fight for you; you need only to be still.
Exodus 14:15 Alexander
Harkavy 15The Lord said unto Moses, "Wherefore criest
thou unto Me? (You) Speak unto the children
of Israel, that they go forward. 16But lift
thou up thy rod and stretch out thine hand over the sea and divide it;
and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through
the midst of the sea."
Exodus 15:23-25 KJVer
They could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they
(the waters) were bitter. Therefore the name of it
was called Marah (bitter). The people murmured
against Moses saying, "What shall we drink?" He cried to the Lord, and the
Lord showed him a tree. The water was made sweet, when he
(Moses) cast
(the tree) into it.
Exodus 15:25-26
He
(God) made a statute and an ordinance. There (in
Marah) He proved
(regulated/tested) them and said, "If you listen
carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if
you pay attention to His commands,
(and if you) keep all His decrees,
(then) I will not bring
(allow/put) on you any of the diseases I
brought
(allowed) on
the Egyptians
(gentiles/those who reject Me and My Words),
for I am (Jehovah-Rapha)
the Lord, Who heals
you."
(#1 Spiritual Principle = Often we allow disease to come upon us
when we violate God's commandments.)
(#2 Spiritual Principle = It is God Who heals us and not any human being..)
(#3 It is Satin not God who brings disease. Job is a good illustration of
this point.)
Exodus 17:11-13
As long as Moses help up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he
lowered his hands the Amalekites were winning. When Moses' hands grew
tired, they took a stone and put it under him and she sat on it. Aaron and
Hur held his hand up - one on one side, one on the other - so that his hands
remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with
the sword. (Spiritual insight = Neither physically nor spiritually can we
win life's battles alone.)
Exodus 20:1 and
God spoke all these words, saying
Exodus 20:5 I, the Lord your God, am a jealous
God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th
generation of those who hate me,
Exodus 20:6 but showing love to a 1,000 generations of
those who love Me and keep My commandments.
(Spiritual insight = disease/curse
is generational due to sin.) (See also Deuteronomy 5:9)
Exodus 23:20 "
Behold, I send an
Angel before you, to keep you in the way, and to bring you into the place
which I have prepared."
Exodus 23:25-26 "And you shall serve the Lord your God,
and He shall bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness
away from the midst of you. There will be no miscarriages nor
barrenness throughout your land, and you will live out the full quota
of the days of your life."
Exodus 34:5-8
5The Lord came down in the cloud
and stood there with him (Moses) and proclaimed His name, the Lord. 6And He passed
in front of Moses, proclaiming, "The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and
gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7maintaining
love to 1,000's and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet He does
not leave the guilty unpunished; He punishes the children and their children
for the sin of the fathers to the 3rd and 4th generation." 8Moses bowed
to the ground at once and worshiped.
(Spiritual
insight = Generational punishment/consequences can be curses or diseases allowed
by God and put on us by Satan.)
Leviticus 26:14-17
If you will not
listen to Me or obey Me, but reject My laws, this is what I will do to you; I
will punish you with sudden terrors and panic...You will even run when no one is
chasing you!
Leviticus 26:40 ...they will confess (apologize for)
their sins and the sins of their fathers...
Numbers 11:23 NIV The Lord answered Moses, "Is the
Lord's arm (hand KJV) too short?
You will now see
whether or not what I say will come true for you."
Numbers 12:1 Miriam and Aaron spoke
against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married...and they
said, "Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? Hath He not spoken also
by us?" The Lord heard it
Numbers 12:10 and the cloud departed from off the
tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow.
Numbers 12:14,15 The Lord said to Moses,
"...Should she not be ashamed 7 days? Let her be shut out from the camp 7
days, and after that let her be received in again."
(Spiritual insight = jealousy, gossip, complaining and murmuring may be a root cause of leprosy?)
Numbers 14:33 Your children will be shepherds
here for 40 years, 1 year for each of the 40 days you
(sinned).
(Spiritual insight = We can stop a 40 year curse and we can begin a
40 year blessing.)
Numbers 15:37-40 NIV 37The Lord said to
Moses, 38"Speak
to the Israelites and say to them, 'Throughout the generations to come you are
to make tassels (fringes/tsitsit)
on the
(4) corners
(boarders/hem) of your garments
(currently represented by a prayer shawl/tallit/mantle
in which one wraps oneself in God's Word and blessings as one prays),
with a blue cord on each tassel. 39You
will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of
the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after
the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
40Then you
will remember to obey all My commands and will be consecrated to your God.'"
[Matthew 23:5 NIV They make their phylacteries
(boxes containing scripture verses, worn on forehead and arm) wide and
the tassels on their garments long.]
Numbers 21:7-9 The people came to Moses and said, "We
have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to
the Lord, that He take away the serpents from us." Moses prayed for the
people. The lord said to Moses, "Make a firery serpent and set it upon a
pole. It shall come to pass, that every one who is bitten, when he looks
upon it, shall live. Moses made a serpent of brass and put it on a pole.
It came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the brass
serpent, he lived.
(Spiritual insight = The brass serpent is an illustration of the
messiah who will forgive all sin and heal all diseases.)
Numbers 33:8-9 KJVer
Deuteronomy 5:9
I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of
the fathers upon the children unto the 3rd and 4th generation of them that hate
Me. (See also Exodus 20:5)
Deuteronomy 7:12-15
If you pay attention to these (spiritual) laws and are
careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will...love you and bless you,
bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land...will keep you free from
every disease.
Deuteronomy 8:4
Your clothes did not wear out nor did your feet swell, these 40 years.
Deuteronomy 23:5 ,,,The Lord your God would
not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the
Lord your God loves you.
Deuteronomy 28:18
The fruit of your womb (children or offspring) will be
cursed.
Deuteronomy 28:20 The Lord will send on you
curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you
are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you
(or your family)
have done in forsaking Him.
Deuteronomy 28:22 He will
send tuberculosis, fever, infections, plague.
Deuteronomy 28:27-28 He will send upon you Egyptian
boils, tumors, scurvy, and itch, for none of which will there be a remedy.
He will send madness, blindness, fear, and panic upon you.
Deuteronomy 28:58 (KJV) If thou wilt not
observe to do all the words of this law that are written this book, that thou
may fear this glorious and fearful name, the Lord thy God; then the Lord will
make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great
plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long
continuance. Moreover He will bring upon thee all the diseases of
Egypt.
(This scripture shows that diseases can be inherited due to family sin.)
(Personal & family sin needs to be confessed to God, so God will forgive and eradicate the
family diseases.)

Deuteronomy 30:19 I (God) have set before you
life & death, blessings & curses. Now choose life, so that you & your
children may live and that you may love the Lord your God.
(Spiritual insight
= Our choices; our sins affect our children.)
Deuteronomy 32:39 Don't you see that I alone am God?
I kill and make live. I wound and heal.
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge and
underneath are the everlasting arms.
He shall thrust out the enemy from before you.
Deuteronomy 34:7 NKJV Moses was 120 years old when he
died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.
Joshua 1:5 I will not
leave you nor forsake you.
Judges
Ruth
1 Samuel
2 Samuel 12:13 The Lord has taken away your sin.
You are not going to die, but because by doing this you have made the
enemies of the Lord show utter contempt. The son born to you will die.
(Father Hampsch in Healing Your Family Tree contends that the
"consequences" of sin can be transferred to the next generations, unless we
apologize to God for our sins and the sins of our ancestors, plus discontinue
any existing sin.)
I Kings 11:1-2 King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh's daughter...The
Lord had told the Israelites , "You must not intermarry with them, because they
will surely turn your hearts after their gods."
1Kings 11:9-11 The Lord became angry with Solomon
because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, Who had
appeared to him twice. Although He had forbidden Solomon to follow other
gods, Solomon did not keep the Lord's command., so the Lord said to Solomon,
"Since this is your attitude and you have not kept My covenant and My degrees,
which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and
give it to one of your subordinates. Nevertheless, for the sake of David
your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of
the hand of your son."
(Spiritual insight = Consequences of sins of fathers are passed on to the next
generations.)
I Kings 13:4-6 KJV When king Jeroboam heard the saying of
(Elijah) the man of God (who had cried (prophesied)
against the altar in Bethel), he put forth his hand (away)
from the altar, saying, "Lay hold of him." His hand dried up, so that he could
not pull it in again to him. The altar also was rent. The
ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had
given by the word of the Lord. The king answered and said to the man of
God, "Entreat now the face of the Lord your God and pray for me, that my hand
may be restored to me again." The man of God besought the Lord.
The king's hand was restored to him again. It became as it was before.
I Kings 14:7-11 Thus says the Lord God of
Israel, "I exalted you (Jeroboam)
from among the people
and made you prince over My people Israel and took the kingdom away from the
house of David and gave it to you; yet you have not been as my servant David,
who kept My commandments and who followed Me with all his heart to do that which
was right in My eyes. You have made for yourself other gods, idols made of
metal; you have provoked Me to anger and thrust Me behind your back.
Because of this, I am going to bring disaster on the house of Jeroboam...Dogs
will eat those belonging to Jeroboam who die in the city, and the birds of the
air will feed on those who die in the country. The Lord has spoken."
I Kings 14:12 As for you (wife of Jeroboam),
go back home. When you set foot in your city, the boy (Ahijah)
will die...He is the only one belonging to Jeroboam who will be buried, because
he is the only one in the house of Jeroboam in whom the Lord, the God of Israel,
has found anything good. The Lord will raise up for Himself a king over
Israel who will cut off the family of Jeroboam. This is the day.
(Spiritual insight = This story shows the consequences of generational
sins and curses. Now is the acceptable time to come before the Lord to
confess our sins and the sins of our ancestors.)
2 Kings 1:2-4 Ahaziah fell down through a
lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria and was sick. He sent
messengers and said, "Go enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron whether I shall
recover of this disease. But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the
Tishbite, "Go up and meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them,
'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are going off to consult Baal-Zebub
the god of Ekron?' Therefore this is what the Lord says, 'You will not leave
the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die.'" So Elijah went.
(Spiritual insight = The Lord God is a jealous god. We bring a
curse upon ourselves when we do not first seek His help.)
2 Kings 5:14 So Naaman went down to the Jordan River
and dipped himself 7 times, as the prophet (Elisha) had told him to, and his
flesh became as healthy as a little child's, and he was healed. (It
took 7 attempts before the healing was manifested.)
2 Kings 20:4-11
4Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the Lord came to him.
5Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of My people, "This is what the Lord, the
God of your father David, says: 'I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I
will heal you. On the 3rd day from now you will go up to the temple of the
Lord.
6I will add 15 years to your life.'" (It took 3 days from the
promise of healing to the manifestation of healing.)...7Then
Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." The did so and applied it
to the boil, and he recovered.
8Hezekia had asked Isaiah, "What
will be the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the
temple of the Lord on the 3rd day from now?"
9Isaiah answered, "This is the
Lord's sign to you that the Lord will do what He has promised. Shall the
shadow go forward 10 steps or shall it go back 10 steps:"
10"It is a simple matter for the
shadow to go forward 10 steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back 10
steps."
11Then the prophet Isaiah called
upon the Lord and the Lord made the shadow go back the 10 steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
I Chronicles 10:4 Saul took his sword and fell on it.
(Suicide)
1 Chronicles 10:13
Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep
the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not
inquire of the Lord.
(Spiritual insight = Saul did not repent.)
2 Chronicles 12:7
When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to
Shemaiah: "Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them, but will
soon give them deliverance."
2nd Chronicles 16:12-13 NIV In the 39th year of
his reign Asa was afflicted with a disease in his feet. Though his disease
was severe, even in his illness he did not seek help from the Lord, but
only
from the physicians. Then in the 41st year of his reign Asa died and
rested with his fathers.
2 Chronicles 21:10,12,14,15
Because Jehoram had forsaken the Lord, the God of his
fathers...Jehoram received a letter from Elijah the prophet, which said, "This
is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says, '...now the Lord is about
to strike your people, your sons, your wives and everything that is yours, with
a heavy blow. Your yourself will be very ill with a lingering disease of
the bowels, until the disease causes your bowels to come out.'"
(Scriptural
insight = God allowed Jehoram's enemies, the Philistines and the Arabs, to
invade and conquer.)
(God allowed Satin to attack his body unto death.
Note however that God gave Jehoram 2 years, possibly to repent and get right
with God.) (God shows a connection between sin and disease/tragedy in this
biography.) (See the story of Job.)
2 Chronicles 30:15
The Lord harkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
2nd Chronicles 30:19-20 Hezekiah
prayed for them, saying, "The good Lord pardon every one that prepares his heart
to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to
the purification of the sanctuary, and the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah and
healed the people.
Ezra
Nehemiah 8:10 The joy of the Lord is
your strength.
Nehemiah 9:2 The seed of Israel separated themselves from
all strangers and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their
fathers.
(Spiritual insight = Here is scriptural inference of
inherited sin/disease. Without confession there is no forgiveness of sin
and no termination of inherited disease.)
Nehemiah 13:2 Our God, however,
turned the curse into a blessing.
Tobit 5:10 NAB (Catholic/historical)
Raphael (the angel of God) said, "Take courage! God has
healing in store for you; so take courage!"
Tobit 5:13 NAB (Catholic/historical)
Raphael (the angel of God) answered, "I am
Azariah (Yahweh helps), son of Hananiah (Yahweh is
merciful), the elder, one of your own kinsman."
Judith (Catholic)
Ester 9:7-8
From the days of our forefathers until now, our (unconfessed and thus
unforgiven)
guilt has been great. Because of our sins, we and our kings and our
priests have been subjected to the sword and captivity, to pillage and
humiliation at the hand of foreign kings as it is today. But now, for a
brief moment, the Lord our God has been gracious. (Spiritual commentary
= Forgiven sins do have consequences. For instance, a child born out of
wedlock has to be taken care of, perhaps by a single parent or by adoption.)
1st Maccabees (Catholic)
2nd Maccabees (Catholic)
Job 1: 5 Early in the
morning he (Job) would sacrifice a burnt offering for each
of them (his children) thinking, 'Perhaps my children
have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.' This was Job's regular
custom. (This is a scriptural example for us to follow, to confess both our sins and the
sins of our family members.)
Job 1:7-12
The Lord said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the
Lord, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it....Have You
not put a hedge around him (Job) and his household and
everything he has? ...Stretch out Your hand and strike everything he has,
and he will surely curse You to Your face." (We see here that Satin
and not God is our accuser, who stands before God's throne condemning and
accusing us day and night. Revelation 12:10)
Job 1: 12 The Lord said to Satan, "Very well,
then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a
finger." (Spiritual insight = Harm comes from Satan.)
Job 2:6-8 . "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but
you must spare his life." So Satan went out from the presence of the
Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top
of his head. (Spiritual insight = Disease comes from Satan.)
Job 3:25 The thing which I
greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of, is come unto me.
(Spiritual insight = Not to trust God is a sin needing repentance. We can
reject/evict fear, in the name of Jesus.)
Job 17:5 If a man denounces his friends for a (personal)
reward, the eyes of his children will fail.
Job 20:11 KJV His bones are full of the sin of
his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.
Job 23:10 "He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold."
Job 34:25 His flesh shall be fresher than a child's.
He shall return to the days of his youth.
Job 42:8-12
My servant Job will pray for you, and I
will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly (against
Job and against the Lord)..the Lord accepted Job's prayer. After Job had
prayed for his friends,...the Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life
more than the first.
(Lord's prayer = If we do not forgive those who trespass against
us, God will not forgive us our trespasses.)
Psalm 6:2 O Lord, heal me, for my
bones are in agony.
Psalm 19:18
He (God) rescued me because He delighted in me.
(delighted, because Jesus reconciled me to God)
Psalm 23:3 KJVer
He restores my soul (mind/thinking/emotions/personality).
(Insight = Human is mind, body, & spirit.)

You
(God) are with me.
Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for
He
shall pluck my feet out of the net.

then the Lord will take care of me.

and You healed me.

sickbed.

Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for
I will yet
praise Him my Savior and my God.
Psalm 43:5 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for
I will yet
praise Him my Savior and my God.
Psalm 50:14-15 Offer to God
thanksgiving and pay your vows to the Most High. Call upon Me in the day
of trouble; I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me.
Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shaped in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me.
(Spiritual insight = We inherit the sin of Adam and Eve, that is the sin
nature, which separates us from God, until we confess our sins "and" the sins of
our relatives and are freed from "our" past sins and diseases.)
Psalm 51:8,12 KJVer 8Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the
bones which You have broken (allowed to be broken as a consequence of
my/forefathers' sin) may rejoice (be whole in Your
forgiving and healing presence)....12Restore
to me the joy of Your salvation (of spirit, mind and body).
Psalm 57:1-2
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge
I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.
I cry out to God Most High, to God, Who fulfills His purpose for me.

families.

70 years - or 80, if we have the strength.
Psalm 90:13-15 Relent, O Lord!
How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in
the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all
our days. Make us glad for as many days as You have afflicted us, for as
many years as we have seen trouble.

forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all my iniquities; Who heals
all my diseases.
Psalm 103:5 Your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Psalm 105:37 There was not one feeble
person among their tribes. (Doug Jones in Positioning Yourself to

Psalm 107:17-21 KJVer Fools are

the Lord in their trouble and He saves them out of their distresses. He sent forth His Word and

healed them;
He rescued them from the grave. Oh that men would praise the Lord for His
goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men!

delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, that I
may walk before the Lord in the land of the living; I believed."
Psalm 118:17 I shall not die, but live, and will
proclaim what the Lord has done.
Psalm 127:2 He gives His beloved
sleep.
Psalm 139:13-17 For you, Lord, created by
inmost being, You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My
frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place. When I
was woven together in the depths of the earth, Your eyes saw my unformed
body. All the days [(KJV) cells of my body] ordained for me were written in Your book before one of
them came to be.
Psalm 141:3
Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth (mind, memory, subconscious, soul,
thoughts). Keep watch at the door of my lips.
(Spiritual Insight = as long as we speak illness we will have illness)
Psalm 146:8
The Lord gives sight to the blind; the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down.
Psalm 147:3 He (the Lord) heals the
brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget My
teaching, but keep My commands in your heart, for they will prolong your
life many years
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart ad lean not on your own understanding; in
all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:7-8 NIV Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear
the Lord and shun
(depart from) evil. This will bring health
(medicine) to your body
and nourishment
(refreshment/marrow) to your bones.
Proverbs 4:10 Listen, My son, accept
what I say, and the years of your life will be many.
Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen
closely to My
(spoken)Words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within
your heart, for they are life to those who find them and health (medicine) to
a man's whole body.

Proverbs 7:21-23 With her much fair speech she
caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. He
goes after her straightway, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the
correction of the stocks; till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird
hastens to the snare and knows not that it is for his life. (Spiritual insight = Sexual sin is a potential cause for liver disease.)
Proverbs 14:30 Envy rots the bones. (Spiritual
insight = Envy could be a root cause of bone disease.)
Proverbs 15:13 A merry makes a cheerful countenance, but by
sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
(Spiritual insight = Making praise and melody to God is good medicine for a
broken spirit.)
Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good like
medicine. A broken spirit dries the bones.
(Spiritual insight = A broken
spirit may affect the bones or bone marrow.)
Proverbs 18:8 (KJV) The
words of a gossiper are as wounds, and they go down into
the innermost parts of the belly/body. (Spiritual
insight = The fruit of gossip may be stomach/intestinal problems.)
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of
the tongue.
(See Genesis 1 and 1st Corinthians

Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
As he thinks in his heart, so is he.
(Spiritual insight = God looks at our heart/spirit not our mind/soul.)

Proverbs 26:2(NIV) An undeserved curse does not come to

Isaiah 26:3 You
(God) will keep in perfect peace, him whose mind is stayed on
You, because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 29:18-22 NIV In that day the deaf
will hear the words of the scroll (book), and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the
blind will see. Once more the humble (meek) will rejoice
in the Lord; the needy (poor) will rejoice in the
Holy One of Israel. The ruthless (terrible one KJV)
will vanish, the mockers (scorner) will disappear, and
all who have an eye for evil will be cut down - those who with a word make a man
out to be guilty, who ensnare the defender in court and with false testimony deprive the innocent of justice.
Isaiah 33:24 NIV No one living in
Zion will say, "I am ill", and the sins of those who dwell there will be
forgiven.
Isaiah 35:4-6 KJV He will come and save you. Then the
eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be
unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a heart, and the tongue of the
dumb sing.
Isaiah 38:1-8
In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The
prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the Lord
says, 'Put your house in order, because you are going to
die; you will not recover.'" Hezekiah turned his face to the wall
and prayed to the Lord, "Remember, O Lord, how I have walked
before You faithfully and with whole-hearted devotion and have done what is good
in Your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. Then the word of the Lord
came to Isaiah, "Go and tell Hezekiah,
This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says,
I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add
15 years to your life.
(Spiritual insight = Judas did not repent.)
6I will deliver you
and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
7This is the
sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing which He has spoken,
8Behold, I
will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the
sundial of Ahaz, 10 degrees backward." So the sun returned 10
degrees on the dial by which it had gone down. (See 2 Chronicles 16.)
Isaiah 38:21 Isaiah had said, "Let them
take a lump of figs and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall
recover."
Isaiah 43:18-19 Forget the former things; do not
dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up;
do you not perceive it?
Isaiah 43:25
"I (God),
even I, am He Who blots out your transgressions,
for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more."
Isaiah 54:4-6 Do not be afraid; you will not suffer
shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will
forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your
widowhood, for your Maker is your husband, the Lord Almighty is His name
- the Holy One of Israel is your redeemer; He is called the God of all the
earth.
(When self-hatred and guilt attack, tell Satin to flee because your
husband/mate/protector/lover is God/Jesus Christ.)
Isaiah 54:7-8 "For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid
My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have
compassion on you," says the Lord your Redeemer.
Isaiah 54:13
All your sons (+ daughters) will be taught by the
Lord, and great will be your children's peace.

Isaiah 55:11
My word that goes out from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, but will
accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
(The thoughts of God, His intentions, His spoken word will be
accomplished. Let us speak His words. Let us believe His words.
Let us experience His healing in our bodies and His life in our hearts and
minds)
Isaiah 57: 15-16 Thus says the high and
lofty One Who inhabits eternity, Whose name is Holy, "I dwell in the high and
holy place, and also with him (me) who is contrite and
lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the
heart of the contrite. I will not accuse forever, nor will I always be
angry."
Isaiah 57: 18-19 "I will heal him. I will
guide him and restore comfort to him, creating praise on the lips of the
mourners in Israel. Peace, peace to those far and
near." says the Lord, "And I will heal them."
Isaiah 58:6-9
Is this not the kind of
fasting I have chosen; to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords
of the yolk, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke?
(Spiritual Principle = Fasting is another brick on Satan's head.)
Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer
with shelter - when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from
your own flesh and blood.
Then your light will break forth like the dawn and your healing will quickly
appear, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you
will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and He will say:
Here am I.
Isaiah 58:11 KJV The Lord shall guide you continually
and satisfy your soul in drought and make fat (give strength to)
your bones.
Isaiah 59:1-2 The Lord's hand is not too
short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear, but your iniquities have separated
you from your God; your sins (and the sins of our ancestors)
have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
(Spiritual insight = Let us not fail to erase these sins; let us
apologize to God.)
Isaiah 61:1-3 He has sent me (Jesus) to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness
for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the
day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those
who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the
oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a(n
evil) spirit
of despair. (See Like 4:18-19)
Isaiah 62:4
You shall no more be termed Forsaken.
Isaiah 65:24
Before they call I will answer; while they are
still speaking I will hear.
Jeremiah 1:4-6 The word of the Lord came to me,
saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you were born I
set you apart."
(God wants everybody to be His sons and daughters, but we need
to discover that in scripture.)
Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV) Then said the Lord unto me,
"Thou has well seen:
For I will hasten My Word to perform it."
(Scriptural principle = God is anxious to perform His promises for those who
believe & who have first confessed their sin.) Jeremiah 17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I
will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise.
Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have
for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to
give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and
pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when
you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the
Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all
the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will
bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." (not only
Babylon but also hospitals, nursing homes, prison, mental institutions and
halfway houses)."
Jeremiah 30:17-18 17"I will restore
you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord, "because you are called
an outcast, Zion (Jerusalem the place) for whom no one cares
(wants)."
18This is what the Lord says, "...I
bring you home again from your captivity and restore your fortunes."
Jeremiah 32:17-19 Ah, Sovereign Lord,...You show
love to thousands, but bring the punishment for the fathers' sins into the laps
of their children after them..
(Scriptural insight = If we repent of the sins of our forefathers, we can break
inherited family curses such as mental illnesses & diabetes, according to
pastors such as Henry Wright
www.pleasantvalleychurch.net
Inherited diseases can be inherited evil spirits who have legal right due to sin
in ourselves or our families. There may be mortal & venial sins, as well as
attitude sins such as bitterness, unforgiveness, anger and indignation. We do
not need to befriend a dangerous person. We can go to God our protector to
discuss forgiveness. We can also pray for a specific dangerous person)
Jeremiah 33:6 "Behold,
I will bring health and cure. I will heal My people
and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security
(truth)."
Lamentations 5:7 Our fathers sinned and are no more. We bear their punishment. (Spiritual insight = As in Jeremiah 32, we see that often we inherit the sins and or diseases of our ancestors, of which we need to repent, in order to exterminate that evil in our generation. Dr Bridget Hillard's audio tapes Stop That Iniquity Trait address this issue of inherited cures. www.newlight.org #Z3SIT)
Ezekiel 16:6 "When
I passed by you and saw you polluted in your own blood, I said unto you when you
were in your blood, 'Live.' Yes, I said unto you when you were in
your blood, 'Live.'"
Ezekiel 16:44-55 Everyone who quotes
proverbs will quote this proverb about you: "Like mother, like daughter."
You are a true daughter of your mother. (John H Hampsch in Healing
Your Family Tree notes that only mothers can pass on mitochondria DNA.)
Ezekiel 18:17-24 He will not die (prematurely) for
his father's sin; he will surely live. But his father will die for his own
sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong
among his people. Yet you ask, "Why does the son not share the guilt of his
father?" Since the son has done what is just and right and has been
careful to keep all My degrees, he will surely live. The soul who sins is
the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor
will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the
righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be
charged against him. (See Deuteronomy 28: curses for disobedience to God)
Ezekiel 18:32 "For I take no pleasure in the death
of anyone," declares the Sovereign Lord. "Repent and live!"
Ezekiel 34:16
I
will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak.
Ezekiel 37:5 Thus says God to these bones, "I will
cause breath to enter you, and you shall live."
Daniel 9:20 I
(Daniel) was speaking and praying, confessing my sin
and the sin of my people.
Daniel 10:12-13,19 "...Since the 1st day that
you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God,
your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the
prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me 21 days. Then Michael, one of
the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king
of Persia..."Do not be afraid, O man highly esteemed," he said. "Peace.
Be strong now; be strong."
(Spiritual Principle = As it takes 9 months to grow a baby after
conception, so does it
often take time for your answer or healing to manifest itself. Believe
that God is working on your behalf as He and His staff battle out in the unseen
realm on your behalf.)
Hosea 4:6 My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (understanding of scripture/God's
words/thoughts)...You
have forgotten the law of your God; I will also forget your children.
(Spiritual insight = Spiritual sin/disease/curse is inherited.
We cannot remove the curse in our life and in our generation until we recognize
that it is already cured by the Messiah 2000 years ago. Jesus is our
Medicine. Jesus is our Power. Jesus is our Healer. The
Medicine is no good if we do not take it. Believe and be whole. Do
not listen to the lies of our enemy, Satin. Do not believe what you see or
feel. Only believe what God says in scripture. Claim it. Stand
on it. It shall come to pass if you do not faint.)
Hosea 11:3-4 They did not realize
it was I (God) Who healed them. I led them with
cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck
and bent down to feed them.
Joel 2:25-26
I will repay you for the years the
locusts have eaten...you will praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has
worked wonders for you; never again will My people be shamed.
Joel 2:32 "Everyone who calls on the
name of the Lord will be delivered/saved."
Joel 3:10
Let the weakling say, "I am strong!"
(Spiritual Principle = What we speak continually from the word of God is
what we get.)
Amos
Obadiah
Jonah
Micah 7:19 He (God) will have
compassion on us; He will subdue our iniquities; You will cast all their sins (and
subsequent curses) into the depths of the sea.
Nahum 1:9 KJVer He will make an utter end; affliction
shall not rise up a 2nd time.
Habakkuk 2:15-17 Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies. You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now it is your turn! Drink and be exposed!
Zechariah 4:6 "This is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the Lord
Almighty."
Zechariah 8:11,13(KJV) Says the Lord of hosts,..."You were a curse...I will save you and you
shall be a blessing. Fear not."
Zechariah 9:11 (KJV) For you also, by
the blood of your covenant (with Me/God)
I have sent forth
your prisoners out of the pit.
Zechariah 9:12 (NIV) O prisoners of hope, even now I
announce that I will restore twice as much to you. (See Job 42:10)
Zechariah 12:4 (KJV) "In that day",
says the Lord, "I will smite every horse with astonishment and his rider with
madness." (Refers to Israel's final battle where God defends
His people and allows madness to overtake the enemy.)
Zechariah 12:8 (KJV) He that is
feeble among them at that day shall be as David.
Malachi 3:8-10 "You rob Me," but
you ask, 'How do we rob You?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse-the whole
nation of you-because you are robbing Me. Bring the whole tithe into the
storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this, "says the
Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and
pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it."
Malachi 4:2
For you who revere My name, the sun of
righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go
out and leap like calves released from the stall.
