Healing the Family Tree

The Family Tree is recognized mostly as a genealogy report of ancestors in a family blood line.
It shows who is is related to whom way back as many generations as one can document.
It is quite difficult to obtain proof of blood relationship with certainty all suspected or reported relations.
DNA and other lab tests now help prove what the paper trail might not reveal.

What we are looking at is related. Rather than a blood history based solely on marriages and births, numerous authors are advocating our looking at the spiritual history of those same people. The recommendation is for each person to create his own family tree (or tree of origin) and list in code the sins and diseases of each relative plus our own sins and diseases (which are believed to be inherited or passed down). Each human is 3 parts - body, mind/soul, AND spirit! God is a Spirit. Satan is a spirit. Man has a spirit. Doctors try to help the body. Psychiatrists try to help the mind. Pastors try to help the spirit.

What do we do with this list? There are many suggestions. There can be individual or group prayers for deliverance. The list can be taken to church and lifted up to God during communion or when we say the Lord's prayer. This is the time when we ask God's forgiveness of us, after having first forgiven each person on the list. If the person is deceased, we offer that person up to God. We confess his sins. We cover his sins with the blood of Christ. We break the curse from that person's sins. We break the consequences of that person's sins down through the generations.

We do NOT pray to that person. This is forbidden in scripture. (The Catholic church teaches that this prayer can release souls from purgatory into heaven and away from earth where they may bother us. This Catholic teaching has NO scriptural basis!) These Eucharist prayers DO release many of the living on earth from being tormented by the same things that tormented their ancestors.

Many Protestants advocate the same prayers with the same results, but on a different theological basis. They believe that evil spirits are the root cause of the curses, diseases, and maladies.

The key is to know that we can be delivered from our troubles. We, through the blood of Jesus Christ, can be set free from sins originating from relatives or ourselves. Through the body of Jesus Christ we can be set free from physical and mental maladies, inherited or not.

Many books discuss family curses that are passed on from generation to generation in the form of medical diseases or personality disorders. Scripture attributes many of these to familiar or familial evil spirits. Many of the following sources touch on this issue.

Jesus is called the Tree of Life. When we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and be our savior, we are grafted into God's family tree.
At communion, when we, as spiritual relatives of God, drink the blood of Christ, we do a transfusion, taking out the bad blood and putting in the good blood, using Jesus' antibodies to kill off the enemy in our family bloodline. We appropriate what Jesus did for us on the cross 2,000 years ago.

William Branham in The Revelation of the 7 Seals, chapter on the 4th seal, shares how a child was healed of leukemia when the pastor confronted the parents with a secret that they shared. Scripture says to be aware that your sins will find you out.

Christians recognize that "sin" began with Adam and ended with Jesus, our confessor/savior/forgiver.
What many fail to recognize is that "disease/defects/infirmity" began with Adam and ended with Jesus, our doctor/surgeon. Actually for Christians, the real culprit is NOT man but the devil, the author of all harm. However, regarding inheritance, Adam brought sin AND disease into the blood line, and is the father of all sin AND disease in the same way that Abraham is the father of all those who receive salvation or health by believing in God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. Being saved/healed/rescued by God is an act of our tenacious faith in Him in spite of all medical or intelligent evidence to the contrary. God and Satan are invisible spirits competing for the same body. Only one will win. Let us choose the most powerful One, Dr Jesus.

Once we understand and believe that Jesus Christ did it ALL on the cross, it is like a baby who for the first time recognizes his parent and speaks dada or mama! When God becomes our dada/papa, he is our parent, protector, and guardian of body, mind AND spirit. Because of what Jesus Christ did for us (if we accept what he did for us), we are adopted into God's family and are legal heirs of Dad's assets. We can lay claim to ALL God's blessings and according to scripture, they can belong to us for a 1,000 generations! We are thus NOW spiritual descendants of Abraham, because of our faith in his God and in God's son Jesus. It is the blood of Jesus that unites us all as siblings in God's family.

Jeremiah 31:29-31 KJVer Says the Lord, "In those (forthcoming) days they shall say no more, 'The fathers have eaten a sour grape and the children's teeth are set on edge.' Every one shall die for his own iniquity." (Spiritual insight = Passage refers to the time when Jesus the Messiah will provide the means for salvation. As Adam was the one time means for sin to enter mankind, Jesus will be the one time means for the permanent erasing of sin. Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed (paid the bail for) us from the curse (consequences) of (breaking) the law, being made a curse (trade/substitute) for us: for it is written, cursed (evil/despised/diseased) is every one who hangs on a tree.

That we are destined to inherit the diseases of our ancestors is a lie of Satan, unless we concur with Satan rather than claiming Psalm 47:4a that says God chose our inheritance. 1st however we need to repent of any sin in our lives, plus evict any evil spirits we inadvertently let in as children. We can ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these. Due to fear, Hammond allowed the demon of nervousness, which his mother had, into his life. He felt something crawling all through his body. Testimony is given of a 14 year old autistic boy who never used personal pronouns until he was prayed over.
Another testimony is given of a 6 year old who was healed of criminal schizophrenia (revealed to Ida Mae by God through the gift of knowledge. The evil spirit/psychiatric disease had an open door from the wound of divorce.)

The devil has a legal right to inflict a family curse to at least the 4th generation. At conception, the parent can reverse/terminate/cancel such harm by repenting of any family sin, in the name of Jesus disallow any curse, bind each demon of curse (strongman with underlings), plus expel it's demon group. Pray against any family secret, sins, inherited diseases. Regarding conception, it is imperative to speak aloud acceptance and love to the fetus and NOT rejection. Verbal rejection can cause the fetus to abort.

Chapter 11 Sins of the Father believes that sin is a consequence/symptom of unfaithfulness to God. Rather than repent for each sin to which our forefathers/parents are responsible individually to God, we are to repent of their heat attitude of unfaithfulness to God. According to Hinson, "You cannot repent on their behalf anymore than you can ask Jesus to enter their hearts and then claim salvation for them."
Hinson also believes that we cannot stand in the gap for another regarding curses, that only the one affected (who is under the curse) can repent for his forefather's unfaithfulness to God and then reverse/break off himself such a generational curse. [We respectfully disagree with this, especially if parents are standing in the gap, if person is psychotic or unable to think in a normal manner (senile/drugged/retarded/etc.), and if individual is working with others to prevent relapse.]
Finally, Hinson admonishes to covenant with God on behalf of himself, his family, and his descendants to love, honor and obey. Repenting for family unfaithfulness to God and committing one's family to God, is an honest attempt to sever all generational curses and begin generational blessings.

3. A curse can go down more than 4 generations.
If a sin is committed 100 generations back, it is empowered up to 4 generations. If that sin is repeated the next generation, it can go down another 4 generations (therefore now going down 5 generations). If the sin is empowered in the next generation, then it can go down another 4 generations - therefore, 6 generations from the original sin.
(Note: The Exodus text does not say that sins can ONLY go down 4 generations.)
So what do you do if you feel you have generational issues that need to be broken?
Ask the Lord to reveal any generational curse or sin issue.
Ask the Lord how many generations back in the family line this generational curse was first empowered.
Ask the Lord what happened to empower that event.
Renounce, repent, and ask forgiveness for any sin committed in the family line. This is called identification repentance.
Ask the Lord Jesus to cover the family line and the memory or incident with His blood.
Renounce and repent for sin related to that event.
Ask the Lord to break all ungodly connections from that event in the generational line to the present.
Demand (in the name of Jesus that) all evil leave and go wherever Jesus commands them.
End the session with prayer for the cleansing and protection of the Holy Spirit."

Do NOT blithely hand out your family tree/lineage to any family member or stranger who asks. Wait on the Lord until you have confidence that especially new relatives or distant relatives are not into the occult. It seems that there are both spiritual principles and human principles that work for harm or for good, depending on both the user and the spirit one works with.
Regardless of whether or not one recognizes the spirit or the principle (or not), both are in operation and will affect the end result. There IS an evil spirit AND a Holy Spirit, whether or not we have personally met either, whether or not we have a personal relationship with either.

Many alternative modalities/therapies/healings are based on natural laws, not revealed to the general public, but known by holy men, some belonging to Satan and some to God. Additionally, the evil spirit and the Holy Spirit heal. The Holy Spirit's healing/work/miracles is always superior, as shown to Moses and Aaron in the Old Testament. Scripture says harm will befall anyone who (knowingly or unknowingly) dabbles in the occult/magic/sorcery/witchcraft. Nowadays, much redemptive/therapeutic knowledge is greatly enlightening and helpful. However, there always comes a fork in the road when we need to decide/choose who our spiritual guide will be. Choosing any higher power (other than the Trinity of the Old and New Testament) is SIN and causes harm to us AND our families.

Right away, we know that Louise is NOT God's resource. However her book is another tree of knowledge, at least initially, until we become entrapped.
She like Pastor Henry Wright and others presents the disease/problem/symptom, possible root cause such as negative emotion, plus solution such as replacing negative with opposite positive emotion (or contradictory positive saying that one is suppose to speak). Perhaps one could call Louise a behavioral therapist. However, she misunderstands her source or is not honest with us. Louise declares, "I dedicate this...to the Divine Infinite Intelligence for channeling through me that which others need to hear." The Trinity is NOT an intelligence, but 3 Persons, Father God, Jesus Messiah, Holy Spirit. Ms Hay also credits Dr. Robert Lang, Pete Grim, and Rene Espy with many of her insights.
To Hay's (not her doctor's) credit, she was cured of vaginal cancer, which had been triggered by (rooted in) being raped at age 5.
Hay says, "The way to control your life is to control your choice of words and thoughts. No one thinks in our mind but you."
Ms. Hay gives credit to a generic good universe and love inside us; God is a Person, NOT a thing or idea. He is Love and is jealous for a love relationship with us.

Beginning with chapter 27, the workbook becomes like the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve chose evil and did effect her entire family and descendants. Additionally, NO person, can heal himself or others, without the power of the evil spirit or Holy Spirit. Be forewarned.
Chapters prior to #27 do clarify/reinforce current teachings on the importance of knowing one's family of origin/genealogy/family curses/sins/problems for which one needs to recognize, renounce, refuse, reject, and repent. Whitfield wants to do away with (numb/erase the feeling of) real/genuine sin/shame/guilt and so does Satan; whereas the Trinity knows the only way to be rid of all psychiatric and physical trauma is through repentance and Forgiveness of self and others. Remember, psychiatric basket cases are typically demon oppressed and sometimes demon possessed. Denial of demons only gives them permission to haunt.

Sanctification
The process whereby we DAILY become less and God becomes more inside of us.
Remember. Jesus relinquished His will to the will of the Father.
Jesus' dead self was so full of God that His Holy Spirit burst out of the grave, taking Jesus with Him.

"Lord Jesus, I repent and renounce for all those in my (our) family line all the way back to Adam and Eve, who because of their sin, released thorns and thistles into the ground, placing a curse on reproduction - the reproduction of the land, the reproduction of business, spiritual reproduction, and on human reproduction.
As a parent, I repent and renounce for myself and my family line for provoking my (our) children to anger and not blessing them to walk in Sonship. I (we) now release them to walk in Godly inheritance, authority, and as sons properly placed in a redeemed family tree. As a son, I repent and renounce for myself and my (our) generational line for not honoring my (our) parents. I ask for realignment of the redeemed family tree. I receive the parental blessing and move forward in freedom.
I (we) repent and renounce for those who focus on the moon, fear the moon, and worship the moon, rather than the Son of God. Lord, will you break all curses related to moon worship?
Lord, I (we) repent for those who denied the gift of healing, spoke against the gift, and cursed the gift of healing. Will you break all curses that came against me (us)? Will you remove that one which brings sickness and disease - the anti-healing one?
Lord, will you heal the damage done to my back? Will you break all the curses on reproduction that have come against me (us)? Lord, disconnect me (us) and my (our) family from all fertility cults and sacrifices that have brought curses, barrenness, and thorns into our lives and our land.
Father, I (we) repent and renounce for choosing to drink the water of affliction rather than drinking from the river of life. Father, I (we) repent and renounce for silencing the seed, for shutting the truth within my (our) bowels, and allowing the moons of unrighteousness to overshadow the righteousness within me (us).
Lord, I (we) repent and renounce for myself (ourselves) and my (our) family line who have spilled their seed on the ground or caused the seed of others to be spilled upon the ground. Lord, I repent and renounce for blocking the seed of evangelism. Father, forgive me and my family line for covering Your light...
Cause Your light to shine through me (us) that others might see You and come to know You.
Lord, will You burn up the bramble bush - that ungodly misrepresentation of the evangelism and healing You desire to bring forth?..I repent and renounce for others who also hid their lights...Lord, will you burn away the things that entangle, so that I (we) may be released to fly in the fullness of my (our) inheritance?
Lord, please turn the wilderness and wasteland into streams in the desert and the parched land into a pool. I (we) receive the healing of the land and of my (our) body. Lord, will You open the blind eyes, unstop the deaf ears, heal the lame, and release the mute to shout for joy? (Isaiah 35)...
"Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be 7 fold, as the light of 7 days, In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people and heals the stroke of their wound," Isaiah 30:26.
I (we) repent and renounce for the Rahab spirit - that 'do nothing' spirit.
I (we) repent and renounce on behalf of myself and my generational line for all ungodly plantings and for not being grounded and rooted in love and for receiving nourishment and strength from the land and not from You. I (we) repent and renounce for receiving and relying on the ungodly fruit that was produced from this ungodly planting. I (we) repent and renounce for me (us) and my (our) generational line for ungodly dependence on the land. I (we) repent and renounce for all worship of the land. I (we) break all ungodly ties for me (us) and my (our) generational line with the land.
Father, I (we) repent and renounce for trying to reap fruit from thorns and from bramble bushes. Cause me (us) to see and discern the trees from which I (we) pick fruit. I (we) want only fruit from Your hand - from what and from whom You have ordained for me (us) - not from any imposters...
Father, I (we) repent and renounce for all false gifts of healing. I (we) repent and renounce for myself and anyone in my (our) generations who declared that healing was not of God, but came from my enemy. I (we) repent and renounce for any false healing gifts or the misuse of any healing gifts both for myself (ourselves) and for my ancestors. I (we) repent and renounce for turning away from, or discrediting the healing gifts.
Lord, will You break the curse off of the land? Will You heal the land? Will You break the curse off of healing? Will You break the curse off of me (us)? Will You appropriate Your blood over the land and over me (us) and over the healing gifts in these specific matters?
I (we) now accept and receive Your healing, Your healing gifts, callings, and mantles. Help me (us) not to look to myself (ourselves) to make the gifts work. Grant me (us) faith that You will do all that needs to be done. You alone are God.
I (we) ask that all healing and healing giftings and mantles from You come forth...(now).
Glorify Your name. Cover the earth with Your glory. Amen." (We give Your praise and thanksgiving.)
