1st JOHN 4:1 Beloved, believe not every SPIRIT, but test the SPIRITS to determine whether
or not they are of GOD, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

ADVERSARY
SAMUEL 1:6-7 KJVer Her ADVERSARY also provoked her sore, to make her fret, because the Lord had shut up her womb, as he (her adversary) did year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord.

ANTICHRIST
1st JOHN 2:22-23 Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the ANTICHRIST. He denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
1st JOHN 4:1-3 KJV Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know you the Spirit of God. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God. This is that spirit of ANTICHRIST.

BEAST
REVELATION 13:16-17 He (the beast) causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the BEAST or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count the number of the BEAST, for it is the number of a man and his number is 666.

BROKEN SPIRIT
PROVERBS 15:13 KJV A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of the heart the SPIRIT is BROKEN.
PROVERBS 17:22 KJV A merry heart does good like a medicine, but a BROKEN SPIRIT dries the bones.

CAPTIVITY
ROMANS 7:15-25 KJV I do that which I allow not. I do that what I would not. I do that what I hate. If I do that which I would not, then I consent to the law that it is good. Then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing. To will is present with me. How to perform that which is good I find not. The good that I would, I do not. I do the evil which I would not. Now, if I do not that which I would, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwell in me. I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil (spirit) is present with me. I delight in the law of God after the inward man, but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind and bringing me into CAPTIVITY to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord (that Jesus is our solution to this problem).
[Spiritual insight = evil mentioned is the evil spirit on assignment against us through inherited curses plus current issues not yet fixed through the intervention of the Holy Spirit. Even Christ and His disciples had to experience crucifixions of human nature.) (This also is an illustration of where inside a person (such as an apostle of Christ) can exist the Holy Spirit, an evil spirit, AND the human spirit.]
REVELATIONS 13:9-10 TPNT 9If someone has an ear, he must NOW listen. 10"If someone is to go into (the place of) captivity, he is taken into captivity."

DEUTERONOMY 18:9-12 KJV You shall not learn to do after the abomination of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, uses divination, (or is) an observer of times, an enchanter, a witch, CHARMER, consulter with familiar spirits, wizard, or necromancer, for all that do these things are an abomination to the Lord.

MARK 1:26 (Like 4:35) TPNT The Man with an Unclean Spirit The unclean spirit collapsed him (threw him down); then calling out in a loud voice, it came out of him.

CONFUSION
ISAIAH 45:16 Alexander Harkavy They shall be ashamed and also confounded, all of them; they shall go to CONFUSION together that are maker of idols.

CURSEs
DEUTERONOMY 28:1,15,28-29 KJV    If you hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord your God to observe and do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth and all these blessings shall come on you and overtake you, if you shall hearken to the voice of the Lord your God...It shall come to pass, if you will not hearken to the voice of the Lord your God to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you this day, all these CURSES shall come upon you and overtake you...The Lord shall smite you with madness, blindness, and astonishment of heart. You shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness. You shall not prosper in your ways. You shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore. No man shall save you. (Curses can be inherited. We need to apologize to God for both our sins and our ancestors sins.)
MALACHI 3:8-10 KJV    "You have robbed Me. But you say, 'Where have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a CURSE, for you have robbed Me. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in My house and prove Me now here," says the Lord of hosts (and see) if I will not open (to) you the windows of heaven and pour out (upon) you a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."
REVELATION 22:3 KJV    There shall be no more curse.

CUT
DEUTERONOMY 14:1 KJV You are the children of the Lord your God. You shall not CUT yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
1st KINGS 18:28 They (the prophets of the god Baal) cried aloud and CUT themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

DECEIVE
REVELATION 12:9 TPNT   The great dragon, the old serpent, the one called Devil land Satan, the one who DECEIVED the entire inhabited world, was cast to the earth, (Isaiah 14:12) and his angels (accomplices) were cast with him.
REVELATION 12:10
The great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, strength, the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ have come, for the ACCUSER of our brethren, who ACCUSED them before our God day and night, has been cast down." (Insight = night terrors/nightmares may come from The Accuser, Satan, our spiritual enemy. Also self-accusation thoughts.)
REVELATION 13:14 TPNT He (another beast) DECEIVED those who lived on the earth by the miracles which were given to him to do in the sight of the beast.
REVELATION 18:23 TPNT   All the heathens were DECEIVED by your sorcery (pharmakeia/drugs/medicines). (Isaiah 47:9)
REVELATION 19:20 TPNT   The beast was seized and with him the false prophet, the one who did the miracles in front of him, by which he DECEIVED those who took the mark of the beast and those who paid homage to his image; the 2 were cast alive into the lake of fire which was burning in brimstone. (Isaiah 30:33)
REVELATION 20:1-3 TPNT   1I saw an angel descending from heaven, who had the key of the abyss and a large chain in his hand. 2He arrested the dragon, the old serpent, who is the Devil and Satan; then he bound him for a 1,000 years 3and cast him into the abyss and shut and sealed the abyss above him, so that the could not DECEIVE the heathens (nonbelievers in the Trinity and His purpose of salvation/healing/deliverance) any longer until the 1,000 years would be completed. After these things it is necessary for him to be loosed for a short time.
REVELATION 20:10 TPNT The devil, the one who was DECEIVING them, was thrown violently into the lake of fire and brimstone (Isaiah 30:33, Genesis 19:24, Psalms 11:6, Ezekiel 38:22, 3Maccabees 2:5) in which place also the beast and the false prophet had been cast; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

DECEIVER
JOB 12:16 KJVer With Him is strength and wisdom. The DECEIVED and the DECEIVER are His.

DELIVERY
REVELATION 12:1-5 TLB Messianic 1I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of 12 stars on her head. 2She was pregnant and screamed in the pain of her labor, awaiting her delivery. 3Suddenly a red Dragon appeared, with 7 heads, 10 horns, and 7 crowns on his heads. 4His tail drew along behind him a 3rd of the stars, which he plunged to the earth. He stood before the woman, as she was about to give birth to her child, ready to eat the baby as soon as it was born.
5She gave birth to a boy who was to rule all nations with a heavy hand, and he was caught (snatched) up (delivered) to God and to his throne.

DELUSION
ISAIAH 66:4 Alexander Harkavy I also will choose their DELUSIONs, and will bring their fears upon them;because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear; but they did evil before Mine eyes, and chose (to listen to/accept advise/voices/thoughts that contradicted God in scripture) that in which I delighted not.
2 THESSALONIANS 2:8-12 TPNT 8The (evil) one without Torah will be revealed, whom the lord Jesus will destroy by the Breath of His mouth (spoken scripture) and will abolish by the appearance of His coming (again), 9Whose (final) coming is through (because of) the efficiency (blatancy/nastiness/ treachery) of the works of Satan with great (evil) power and false signs and (counterfeit) wonders, 10and in every unrighteous deception for those who are being destroyed, because they did NOT accept (believe/comprehend/receive/understand) the love of the Truth for them (personally) to be saved (healed/ cured/delivered/loved). 11Because of this, God send them a working of deception (strong DELUSION), so they would believe in the lie, (any scientific/ medical/religious teaching/thinking/fact that contradicts scripture) 12 so that all those would be judged who did not believe in the Truth (written in scripture), but took pleasure in unrighteousness."

DEMON
GENESIS 4:2-7 TNAB 2Abel became a keeper of flocks and Cain a tiller of the soil. 3In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the Lord from the fruit of the soil, 4while Abel, for his part, brought one of the best firstlings of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his (blood) offering, 5but on Cain and his offering He did not. Cain greatly resented this and was crestfallen. 6So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you so resentful and crestfallen? 7If you do well, you can hold up your head; but if not, sin is a DEMON lurking at the door; his urge is toward you, yet you can be his master." (TNAB footnote = Demon lurking: in Hebrew, robes, literally "croucher" is used here, like the similar Akkadian term rabisu, to designate a certain kind of evil spirit.)

TOBIT 1:1 NAB (Catholic/historical) This book tells the story of Tobit, son of Tobiel, son of Hananiel, son of Aduel, son of Gabael of the family of Asiel, of the tribe of Naphtali.
TOBIT 3:8 NAB (Catholic/historical) She (Raguel's daughter Sarah) had been married to 7 husbands, but the wicked DEMON ASMODEUS killed them off before they could have intercourse with her, as it is prescribed for wives.
TOBIT 3:17 NAB (Catholic/historical) Raphael (God's angel) was sent to heal them both - to remove the cataracts from Tobit's eyes, so that he might again see God's sunlight and to marry Raguel's daughter Sarah to Tobit's son Tobiah, and then drive the wicked DEMON ASMODEUS from her.
TOBIT 6:7-9 NAB "What medicinal value is there in the fish's heart, liver and gall?" He answered, "As regards the fish's heart and liver, if you burn them so that the smoke surrounds a man or a woman who is afflicted by a DEMON or evil spirit, the affliction will leave him completely, and no demons will ever return to him again. As for the gall, if you rub it on the eyes of a man who has cataracts, blowing into his eyes right on the cataracts, his sight will be restored."
TOBIT 6:17-9 NAB "Take the fish's liver and heart and place them on the embers for the incense. As soon as the DEMON smells the odor they give off, he will flee and never again show himself near."
TOBIT 8:2-3 NAB Tobiah, mindful of (the angel) Raphael's instructions, took the fish's liver and heart from the bag which he had with him, and placed them on the embers for the incense. (not a recipe for Catholic exorcism, per NAB) The DEMON, repelled by the odor of the fish, fled into Upper Egypt (desert- considered the dwelling place of demons per NAB). Raphael (the angel) pursued him there and bound him hand and foot. (Henry Wright sends demons to a "dry place". www.pleasantvalleychurch.org)

MATTHEW 9:33 NIV    The DEMON was driven out.
MATTHEW 10:7-8    As you go, preach, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out DEMONs."
MATTHEW 11:8 NIV    They say, "He has a DEMON."
MATTHEW 15:22 Weymouth    My daughter is cruelly harassed by a DEMON.
MATTHEW 17:18 NIV    Jesus rebuked the DEMON and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" He replied, "Because you have so little faith."
MATTHEW 7:20-22 NIV    "By their fruit you will recognize them. Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, in Your name drive out DEMONS, and perform many miracles?" Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!'" (Spiritual insight = ALWAYS test the spirits, because Satan can copy many of the miracles of the Holy Spirit, as did the magicians at the time of Moses. The glory must ALWAYS go to God and never to us!)
LUKE 11:14- NIV    Jesus was driving out a DEMON that was mute. When the DEMON left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.

DEMON-possessed (demonized)
MATTHEW 4:24 NIV     People brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering sever pain, the DEMON-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.
MATTHEW 8:16-17    When evening came, any who were DEMON-possessed (demonized) were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed ALL the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases."
MATTHEW 8:28-32 KJV    When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes 2 DEMON-possessed men coming from the tombs met Him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have You come here to torture us before the appointed time?" Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, "If You drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs." He said to them, "Go!"
MATTHEW 9:32 NIV    A man who was DEMON-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. When the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke.
MATTHEW 12:22 NIV    They brought Him a DEMON-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed Him, so that he could both talk and see.
MATTHEW 15 :22 KJVer    Behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts and cried to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, You Son of David. My daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. (miserably demon possessed)"
MARK 1:32-34 NIV    The people brought to Jesus all the sick and DEMON-possessed. The whole town gathered at the door and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons, but He would not let the demons speak.
MARK 5:12-18 NIV    The demons begged Jesus, "Send us among the pigs. Allow us to go into them" He gave them permission and the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about 2000 in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind.
MARK 7:25-26,28-30 NIV    A woman whose little daughter was possessed by an evil spirit came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the DEMON out of her daughter..."Lord", she replied, "but even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." Then He told her, "For such a reply, you may go. The DEMON has left your daughter." She went home and found her child lying on the bed and the DEMON gone.
LUKE 4:33 NIV    In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a DEMON, an evil spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, "Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God!" "Be quiet!" Jesus said sternly, "Come out of him!" Then the DEMON threw the man down before them and came out without injuring him.
LUKE 8:27-32 NIV    When Jesus stepped ashore He was met by a DEMON-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he (the demon) cried out and fell at His feet, shouting at the top of his voice (through the mouth of his victim), "What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, don't torture me!" Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" "Legion," he replied, because many demons had gone into him. They begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and He gave them permission. (Spiritual insight = The evil spirit saw and recognized the Holy Spirit clothed in Jesus, the man.)

The people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus feet, dressed and in his right mind. They were afraid. They who had seen it told them by what means he who had demon-possessed was healed. (Spiritual insight = Greek translation is sozo/saved meaning healed/delivered. We recognize that Jesus' atonement on the cross provided salvation of the soul, healing of the body, and deliverance of the mind. This sozo is now available to be appropriated by us who believe.)
ACTS 16:16 TLB Kwikscan 16We met a demon-possessed slave girl who was a fortune-teller, and earned much money for her masters. 17She followed along behind us shouting, "These men are servants of God and they have come to tell you how to have your sins forgiven." 18This went on day after day, until Paul, in great distress, turned and spoke to the demon within her, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her," he said. And instantly it left her.
ACTS 19:13 NIV    Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were DEMON-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."   7 sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered the, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?" Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

DEVIL (name for Satan, per Derek Prince, incorrectly often used in the plural)
PSALMS 106:38 Alexander Harkavy They sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto DEVILs.

MATTHEW 12:28    If I cast out DEVILs (Satan/demons/evil spirits) by the (Holy) Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God is come unto you.
MATTHEW 15:22 KJV    My daughter is grievously vexed with a DEVIL.
MATTHEW 15:22 Phillips     My daughter is in a terrible state. A DEVIL has got into her.
MATTHEW 17:18-21 KJV    Jesus rebuked the DEVIL and "he" departed out of him. The child was cured from that very hour. The disciples came to Jesus apart and said, "Why could we not cast 'him' out?" Jesus said, "Because of your unbelief." I say to you, "If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, 'Remove here to yonder place.' It shall move. Nothing shall be impossible to you. However, this kind does NOT go out but by prayer and fasting."
MARK 16:9 After JESUS rose, early the first day of the week, HE appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom HE had cast 7 devils (demons).   (Derek Prince reminds us not to be ashamed if we have a demon that needs to be cast out, or have had one cast out. Look at the honor paid Mary here in scripture.)
MARK 16:15-18 KJV    He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. He that believes shall not be damned. These signs shall follow them that believe: In My name shall they cast out DEVILs (demons). They shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents. If they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
LUKE 4:2    Being tempted 40 days by the DEVIL.

LUKE 4:33-35 KJV    In the synagogue there was a man, who had a spirit of an unclean DEVIL who cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Let us alone. What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are. The Holy One of God." Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Hold your peace and come out of him." When the DEVIL had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
LUKE 8:30 KJVer    Jesus asked him saying, "What is your name?" He said, "Legion," because many DEVILs were (had) entered into him. (Spiritual insight = Demons can use a man's tongue.)
LUKE 8:33 KJVer    The DEVILs went out of the man and entered into the swine.
LUKE 8:35 KJVer    They...found the man, out of whom the DEVILs departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind.
JOHN 8:44 KJV    You (men) are of your father the DEVIL. The lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.

EPHESIANS 6:11-12KJV    Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles (schemes/trickery) of the DEVIL, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.

There was war in heaven; Michael and the angels under his command fought the Dragon and his hosts of fallen angels. And the Dragon lost the battle and was forced from heaven. Then there was war in heaven; Michael and the angels under his command fought the DRAGON and his hosts of fallen angels. And the DRAGON lost the battle and was forced from heaven. This great DRAGON-the ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world-was thrown down onto the earth with all his army. (Insight = If Satan could con 3rd of all angels and Eve, he is able and willing to con you and me. Thank God for the Holy Spirit's discernment and power to defeat, when we call Jesus' name.)

And when the DRAGON found himself cast down to earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the child (Jesus). But she was given 2 wings like those of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to the place prepared for her, where she was cared for and protected from the Serpent (who is mentioned in Genesis in the garden of Eden), the DRAGON, for 3 and a half years (time of Christ's ministry). (A Dragon dinosaur can be found in Job 40:15 and Job 41:1)
And from the Serpent's mouth a vast flood of water gushed out and swept toward the woman in an effort to get rid of her; but the earth helped her by opening its mouth and swallowing the flood

MATTHEW 8:28-32 In the country of the Gergesenes there met HIM two men POSSESSED WITH DEVILS (demonized) coming out of the tomb, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. They cried out, saying, "What have we to do with YOU, JESUS, YOU son of GOD? Have YOU come here to torment us before the time?" There was a long way off from them a herd of many swine feeding. The DEVILS sought HIM, saying, "If YOU cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of swing." HE said to them, "Go." When they were come out, they went into the herd of swine. The whole herd of pigs ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished.
MATTHEW 9:32-33 They brought to HIM a dumb man possessed with a devil (demonized). When the devil was cast out, the dumb spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, "It was never so seen in Israel."

MARK 1:32-34    They brought to Him all who were sick and those who were DEMON-POSSESSED (demonized). The whole city was gathered together at the door. He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He did not allow the demons to speak.
LUKE 8:35-36 KJV    They went out to see what was done, came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind. They were afraid. They also, who saw it, told them by what means he was POSSESSED OF THE DEVILS (demonized) was healed.

He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. 34"At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my SANITY was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified Him Who lives forever. He does as He pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him, 'What have You done?' 36At the same time that my SANITY was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became (like Job) even greater than before. 37Now, I Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything He does is right and all His ways are just. Those who walk in pride, He is able to humble."

SATAN
EZEKIEL 26:1 NIV    In the 11th year, on the 1st day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me (Ezekiel). "Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, 'Aha! The gate to the nations is broken and its doors have swung open to me. Now that she lies in ruins I will prosper.' Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says, "I am against you, O Tyre." (Spiritual insight = Prophecy may pertain to many generations - have a double meaning, as it the case below.)

SEIZED
LUKE 8:29 (Matthew 8, Mark 5) TPNT Many times it seized him; although he was guarded and bound in chains and fetters, he broke the chains, being driven by the demon into the wilderness areas.

SERPENT
GENESIS 3:1-5 KJV  The SERPENT was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, "Has God said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?'" The woman said to the SERPENT, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat of it. Neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" The SERPENT said to the woman, "Your shall not surely die. God knows that in the day you eat, your eyes shall be opened. You shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
(Spiritual insight = This white LIE brought both physical and spiritual death to Eve, then to Adam and then to all their descendents. Beware, a white witch is as deadly as a black witch! A half truth is still a lie; a wolf in sheep's clothing.) (Food for thought = Eve did not think it odd that a creature spoke to her. Balaam did not think it odd that his donkey spoke. GENESIS 3:14-15 KJV    The Lord God said to the SERPENT, "Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field. Upon your belly shall you go. Dust shall you eat all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman. Between your seed and her seed. He shall bruise (crush) your head. You shall bruise his heel." (Spiritual insight = The serpent allowed Satan to speak through him, and use him, the same way Judas allowed Satan work through him.)
PSALM 140:3 KJV    They have sharpened their tongues like a SERPENT; adders' poison is under their lips.
LUKE 10:19    Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on SERPENTs and scorpions, and over all the POWER of the ENEMY. Nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Be glad! But woe to you people of the world, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time."
And when the DRAGON found himself cast down to earth, he persecuted the woman who had given birth to the child (Jesus). But she was given 2 wings like those of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness to the place prepared for her, where she was cared for and protected from the SERPENT (found in the garden of Eden), the DRAGON, for 3 and a half years
(time of Christ's ministry). (A Dragon dinosaur can be found in Job 40:15 and Job 41:1)
And from the SERPENT's mouth a vast flood of water gushed out and swept toward the woman in an effort to get rid of her; but the earth helped her by opening its mouth and swallowing the flood
(of Noah's time or what some call the Great Ice Age).
Then the furious DRAGON set out to attack the rest of her children
(descendents of Adam/Noah/Abraham or spiritual children of God)
-all who were keeping God's commandments and confessing that they belong to Jesus.

SIN
ROMANS 7:7-25 TPNT The Problem of Indwelling Sin
[Spiritual insight = Sin can be viewed as rebellion/the intentional or inadvertent/unintentional disobedience to Torah/Scripture. Sin can also be viewed as an inherited curse/ cause/disease such as Aids from an infected HIV parent. Sin can be viewed as a demon (indwelling or oppressing) such as suicide. (One could bind/rebuke/command the negative emotion or behavior - eg. depression or the demon of depression.) Sin could be viewed as an evil. (One could forbid/rebuke/command the evil or evil spirit - eg. encroaching tornado.
Human nature belongs to man. Evil nature belongs to Satan/demons. Satan temps us. When we agree in our minds and act with our bodies that equals sin. The Holy Spirit can manifest Himself in our bodies. Likewise, demons can manifest themselves in our bodies. People can recognize which spirit is manifesting in our lives by the fruit of our actions = love and charity or rage and bitterness.]
7Is the Torah (Old Testament/Scripture/God's Word) sin? God forbid! But I did not know sin except through Torah; for I would not have known coveting except the Torah was saying, "You will not covet." (Exodus 20:17) 8But sin, because it took the opportunity through the commandment, was producing every (opposite) desire in me; so without Torah sin is dead (nonexistent). 9Once I was living without Torah; but after the commandment (forbidding) came, sin (rebellion) became alive. 10The commandment (of God) which was found in me for the bringing (protecting/nurturing) of (spiritual/eternal) life, this resulted in death (of my relationship to God) and I died (spiritually). 11After sin took an opportunity (to separate me from God) through the commandment, sin (Satan) deceived me and it killed me through (disobedience to) this commandment. 12So indeed the Torah is holy and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.
13Therefore did the good Torah become death in me? God forbid! But sin, so that sin ('s evil/demonic/ Satanic nature/intentions) would appear (be revealed/exposed), through the good Torah (Word of God) in me, when sin produced (spiritual) death in me, that sin would become sinful (becoming a glass wall separating us from God) beyond measure through (our disobedience to) the commandment (of God). 14For we know that the Torah is spiritual; but, I myself am fleshly, since I have been sold as a slave (to Satan/the demands of the 5 senses/unregenerate human nature) under sin.
15For I am (inadvertently/unwittingly) producing what (behaving in a manner/acting out/triggering consequences) I do not know (intend); for I do not want this - that I am doing, but I hate this, which I am doing. 16But if I do not want this that I do, I agree with the Torah, because it is good. 17But now I no longer am producing this myself, but the SIN DWELLING IN ME produces it. 18For I know that no good is DWELLING in me, that is, in my flesh; for desire to do good is present in me, but (the ability) to produce good is not. 19For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I do this EVIL that I do not want to do. 20 But if I myself do this that I do not want, I AM NO LONGER PRODUCING THIS, but THE SIN DWELLING IN ME IS PRODUCING IT. 21So, I find (recognize from reading) the Torah, in my wanting to do good things, that EVIL is present in me; 22for I rejoice together in the Torah of God with respect to the inner man (heart/soul) 23but I see another law in my members warring against the Torah of my mind (thoughts) and taking me captive in the law of sin, the one which is in my members. 24Wretched man that I am. Who (not what) will rescue me from this body of death? 25But thanks to God. He will through Jesus Messiah our Lord. So then this - on the one hand in my mind (desire/will/intentions/heart) I am serving the Torah of God, but on the other hand in the flesh I serve the law of sin. (See Romans 8 below.)
ROMANS 7:23-25 KJV    I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am.

REVELATION 22:14-15 (KJV) Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city; for outside are dogs, SORCERERs, whoremongers, murderers, idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

SORCERY (sorceries in Greek means drugs) (pharmakia)
DEUTERONOMY 18:10-12 NIV    Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or SORCERY, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, casts spells, who is a medium or spiritist, or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these thing is detestable to the Lord.
ACTS 19:18-19 NIV    A number who had practiced SORCERY brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly.
REVELATION 9:20-21    The rest of mankind...did not repent of their murders, their SORCERIES (magic arts per NIV), their sexual immorality, or their thefts.

SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST
1st JOHN 4:2-3   Recognize the SPIRIT OF GOD; every SPIRIT that confesses that JESUS CHRIST is come in the flesh is of GOD. Every SPIRIT that confesses NOT that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is NOT of GOD; this is the SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST, which you heard will come and even now is in the world.

BROKEN SPIRIT
PROVERBS 15:13 KJV    A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance. By sorrow of the heart the SPIRIT is BROKEN.
PROVERBS 17:22 KJV    A merry heart does good like a medicine. A BROKEN SPIRIT dries the bones. (Spiritual insight = bone cancer.)

SPIRIT OF BURNING
ISAIAH 4:4 KJV The Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment and by the SPIRIT of BURNING.

SPIRIT OF BONDAGE

[Spiritual insight = Captivity is a real place/prison, but it is an invisible spiritual place and NOT a physical place that the doctor or scientist can see/discern. Doctors only attempt to treat the symptoms, because they do not discern the root causes, which for many are demonic. In deliverance, one needs to speak to the evil spirit, rather than to the person. EXTERMINATE

[Spiritual insight = Spirit speaks to spirit. God's Holy Spirit speaks to the human spirit, as does the evil spirit speak to the human spirit. The human spirit transmits these spiritual messages to the mind, which accepts or rejects each message as truth or falsehood/fakery. The mind needs to discern the sender. It also needs to discern if the message is a truth or a lie/deceit. Knowing, having read, Scripture helps one to recognize His voice/thoughts/nature. YOKE
