        Throughout history, humanity has used healing properties of science and nature in an attempt to bring curing to the body.   In accord with this, here we discusses important products of modern application but of ancient, natural origin.  Specifically, the products introduced further below are associated with Schizophrenia and related brain diseases (see Launch Pad above).  Before we discuss these all-natural products, we present some medical, natural, and spiritual history of the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses and related issues.  Humankind has misdiagnosed and mistreated some of these illnesses--but God's care knows nothing but perfection.

        Not too long ago people were institutionalized with mental illness due to the lack of vitamin B1 (thiamine) found in the outer coating of cereal grain, green peas, beans, egg yolk and liver. The disease was later diagnosed as Pellagra.  J. I. Rodale's Encyclopedia of Common Diseases, in chapter The Nutritional Approach to Nervous Disorders, states that "Dr. Jolliffe equated the mental symptoms which occur in pellagra (a classical manifestation of thiamin deficiency)  with those of most psychoses.  They include memory defects, disorientation and confusion.  Periods of excitement, depression, mania, delirium and paranoia occur frequently."  The significance of the B vitamins are clearly very important and is discussed in the products below..

        Apostle John's personal journal of God's visit to the Island of Patmos is recorded in Revelation, the last book of the New Testament in the Bible.  God speaks of a Tree of Life, which births fruit every month for nourishment and yields leaves for healing.  God speaks of a time when there will no longer be any curse.  (Revelation 22:2  "On each side of the river grew Trees of Life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month; the leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.")   This is verified in the Old Testament of the Bible.  God told Ezekiel (47:12  "All kinds of fruit trees will grow along the river banks.  The leaves will never turn brown and fall, and there will always be fruit.  There will be a new crop every month-without fail!  For they are watered by the river flowing from the Temple.  The fruit will be for food and the leaves for medicine.")

    Actually, in Visions Beyond the Veil  (about China) and There is Always Enough (about Africa), the Bakers relate true stories where God visited personally the mission children ages 6-18, baptized them with His Holy Spirit, and took the mission orphans to heaven and allowed them to eat fruit from His trees.  
In There Is Always Enough  Rolland and Heidi Baker share a vision where Jesus gives a piece of his flesh as food plus some of His blood and water as drink to Heidi to share with her orphans.  Later in real life when the Bakers needed to feed hundreds of children with a neighbor's gift of one meal, the meal multiplied in her hands, so that every child was fed.   The Bakers learned that Jesus is always enough, because His heart, love, and power is big enough.  www.irismin.org

    The Book of Daniel in the Old Testament testifies of the values of eating a Kosher or vegetarian diet. Daniel 1:8-16 NIV states, "Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine.  He asked the chief official per permission not to defile himself this way.  Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel.  The official told Daniel, 'I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink.  Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age?  The king would then have my head because of you.'  Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 'Please test your servants for 10 days.  Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.  Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food.  Treat your servants in accordance with what you see.'  He agreed to this and tested them for 10 days.  At the end of 10 days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food, so the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead."

     Vitamin B-3 and the treatment of Schizophrenia      

        There has been much wonderful research into the cause and cure of Schizophrenia

Next comes structure such as volunteer work. (Vitamins might be taken with each of the 3 daily meals.)  Then comes part time work. (Vitamins might be taken when meals are eaten at home.)  Then comes full time work.  (Vitamins might be taken breakfast, supper and bedtime on week-days.)  As normal life resumes so does confidence in oneself and confidence that the many vitamins and  medications do in fact help.

The suggested following 3-year schedule for Niacin (B-3) may be helpful.  You may want to have a local orthomolecular doctor work with you to optimize your vitamin selection, purchasing and medications.  Some pharmacists and some health food stores are also very good resources.  We recommend that one take a very small B-complex vitamin AM and noon, but not PM.  Vitamin B-6 contributes to nightmares.    In 2004 Journal of Orthomolecular J E Prouksy recommends between 2-8 grams niacinamide (non flush niacin) daily or highest dose that does not cause nausea, as an "anti-anxiety" remedy.  B3 converts to tryptophan to serotonin. For neurodegenerative disorders,  Dr Blaylock recommends that, in addition to niacinamide (a non-flush niacin; regular (flushing) niacin releases histamine, which dilates the face blood vessels per Lesser's The Brain Chemistry Diet), we also add CoQ10, acetyl-L carnitine (to increase brain acetylcholine ),  riboflavin, methylcobalamin and thiamine supplements. Williams, David G Unabridged Library of Medical Lies 2007 paperback volume indicates that tobacco nicotine stimulates the body's production of the neuro-transmitter acetyl-choline as does niacin (B3/nicotinic acid) a cousin of nicotine.  Obviously, B3 is the healthy choice, but one can see why many ill people crave/smoke cigarettes for the acetylcholine (as well as for the addictive properties of the nicotine).

A popular American movie, A Beautiful Mind, shows the  healing of the Schizophrenic mind of John F.         Vitamin B is not the only important "B" out there, there's also our pesky friend the bumble bee.  These bees produce five all-natural and all-important products: royal jelly, propolis, pollen, honey, and venim.         Want a child genius?  Eat egg yolks during your pregnancy and feed egg yolks to your baby as soon as your doctor allows.  Yup.  Egg yolks even help Alzheimer brains.  The 'magic' ingredient is Phosphatidyl Choline (PC).  Real food (not produced in a factory) gives real nutritional benefits, regardless of the fear doctors instill in us from childhood regarding such issues as cholesterol from egg yolks.  Of course, it is wise to eat organic eggs or free range chicken eggs or omega 3 oil eggs. A high purine intake as well as a high protein intake is mandated during relapses or times where one is aware of beginning symptoms. It is important to eat high purine food 3x a day.  Purine is a principal source of acetate. Acetate contains Vitamin B5 (pathothenic acid), in the absence of which the acetate level of the cells decreases sharply. The fast oxidizer is not producing enough acetate.  The Slow oxidizer is producing enough, but is not able to turn it into energy. Foods high in nucleoproteins yielding the purine adenine are:

anchovies, brains, meat gravy, soup, heart, herring,
caviar, liver, kidney, sweetbread, muscles, and sardines

Foods containing moderate purine are

Asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, lentils, beans, peas, mushrooms, peanuts, fish, turkey, chicken and meat.

Methionine - An amino acid known as Sam-e helps "high histamine (histadelia)" person but harms low histamine schizophrenic person.   Look  for the 1,4-dibutane sulfanate form of Sam-e which is more stable and less expensive, per Michael Lesser MD, Berkley, California in The Brain Chemistry Diet.   Methionine should be taken at supper/dinner time with Magnesium, B6, B12, folic acid, calcium around 5PM, after work and not at bedtime. 
Warning.  Avoid histidine and folic acid.

Organic Yogurt - (Use to improve natural intestinal flora.)

Para-amino benzoic acid (For catatonia)

Pectin can be found in the canning section of your grocery store.  One can add the dry powder to Jell-O powder.  Add hot water and mix with an electric egg beater to blend.  Hand beating will not work.  Adding a can of coconut milk may help the flavor. Citrus pectin is from the thick outer pulp of citrus fruit.  One can eat the white of the citrus fruit (skin) instead of buying powdered pectin.  The next best bet is a supplement called modified citrus pectin, which seems to be very effectuous against disease.

PhosPhatidylSerine  (PS)   - (100 mg 4x day) for memory and stress.  Is found in egg yolks. 
As a supplement take with low dose magnesium and calcium, especially at bedtime or before doing school homework.

Powdered Vitamin C         - (add to your salt shaker)

Pumpkin seeds                 - Excellent for men. 
Take as bedtime snack as high in amino acid L-tryptophan, which may help sleep.

Spring Water                   -  Drink often, especially in the hot weather.  Reduce intake at bedtime.  Penta water is touted to be a superior but very expensive bottled water.  Gatoraide is used to stabalize elolytes, especially in the summer for those who sweat a lot working outdoors.  Soda, especially diet soda, is very harmful to the brain.  Avoid soda, especially diet soda that contains aspartame (which converts to formaldehyde to formic acid and causes metabolic acidosis per Meiser and Anderson in Overcoming Senior Moments).
Some advocates prefer distilled spring water.  Add a slice of fresh lemon or lime.

St John's Wort - (Used for depression)  Grow in your herb garden and add to your salad daily.
