The New Testament is based on eye witness accounts, which have much historical evidence for what Jesus did and what Jesus said. Later publications such as the Gnostic scriptures were not eye witness accounts and were often subjective accounts, not inspired by the Holy Spirit, but rather attempts to reconcile the religions/beliefs of the day to the newfound Christianity, an outgrowth of Judaism. Jesus Himself was a Jew, what we would call a Messianic Jew. Jesus is the Messiah cited in the Old Testament. The New Testament (bride) is the completion (marriage) of the Old Testament (groom); the old covenant and the new covenant become one, in the spiritual sense.

Matthew 4:23-24
23Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing
EVERY
(evil) disease and sickness among the people.
24News about Him spread
all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were will with various
diseases
(evils/kakos), those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having
seizures
(epileptics/being moonstruck), and the paralyzed
(paralytics), and He healed them.
Matthew 5:22-24 "I (Jesus)
tell you that anyone who is
angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says
to his brother, Raca (damn you), is answerable to the Sanhedrin (church).
But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the alter and there remember that
your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the
altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer

Matthew 5:44 "I tell you, 'Love your enemies
and pray for those who persecute you.'"
Matthew 6:13 (Father God)
Deliver us from the evil one. [Spiritual insight = This is "a
deliverance prayer...it is within our authority, when that authority is
exercised in the name of Jesus (Mark 16:17)." says Hampsch in Healing Your

Matthew 6:14-15 If you forgive men
their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you forgive
not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who
mourn, for they will be comforted." (Jesus' beatitude)
Matthew 5:33 Seek 1st the kingdom of
God and His righteousness (a personal "relationship" with God)
and all these things (healings/provisions/deliverance)
shall be
added to you.
(Spiritual insight = God is not denomination but a Person. It is
this Person who heals, first our hearts and then our bodies.)
Mathew 6:12 Forgive us our (own &
our ancestors') trespasses, as we also forgive our trespassers.
Mathew 6:13 Deliver us from the evil one
(demonic interference).
Mathew 6:32 Your heavenly Father knows
that you need all these things.

Mathew 7:1-2
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged
(by God). For in the same way you judge others, you
will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will
find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
Matthew 8:2-3 NIV A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him
and said, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." Jesus
reached out His hand and touched the man. "I am willing," He
said. "Be clean." Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Matthew 8:6-13 NIV "Lord," he said, "My servant lies at home
paralyzed and in terrible suffering." Jesus said to him, "I will go and
heal him." The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come
under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this
one, 'Go.' and he goes; and that one, 'come,' and he comes. I say to my
servant, 'do this,' and he does it." When Jesus heard this, He was
astonished and said to those following Him, "I tell you the truth, I have not
found anyone in Israel with such great faith. I say to you that many will
come from the East and the West, and will take their places at the feast with
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects
(sons RSV/children KJV/descendants who trust in the blood line of Abraham rather
than in the God of Abraham) of the
kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping
and gnashing of teeth." Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go. It
will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was
healed at that very hour.
Matthew 8:14-15 When Jesus came into Peter's house,
He saw Peter's mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched
her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on Him.
Matthew 8:16-17 When evening came, any who were
demon-possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word
and healed ALL the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the
prophet Isaiah: "He took up our infirmities and carried our
diseases."
Matthew 8:28-32 (also Mark 5) When He arrived at the
other side of the region of the Gadarenes, 2 demon-possessed men coming from the
tombs met Him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.
"What do You want with us, Son of God:" they (the demons) shouted. "Have
You come here to torture us before the appointed time?" Some distance from
them a large herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus, "If You
drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs." He said to them, "Go!"
so they came out and went into the pigs...
Matthew 9:2,6-7
Men brought to Him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their
faith, He said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven...know
that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...Get up, take your
mat and go home."...The man got up and went home.
Matthew 9:4-6 Knowing their
thoughts, Jesus (God) said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts
(from your enemy
the devil) in your hearts? Which is easier to say, 'Your sins are
forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? But so that you may know that the
Son of Man (Jesus, also son of God)
has authority on earth to forgive sins." Then He said
to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home." The man got up and
went home. (Spiritual insight = Jesus forgave the sin
which caused the disease.)
Matthew 9:20-22
A woman who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years came up behind Him and
touched the edge of His cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch His
cloak, I will be healed
(Greek translation is sozo/saved)." Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart,
daughter, " He said, "Your faith has
healed you.
(Greek translation is sozo/saved)"

Matthew 9:25 After
the (unbelieving) crowd had been put outside, He went in
and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.
Matthew 9:28-30 Blind men came to Him,
and He asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
"Yes, Lord," they replied. Then He touched their eyes and said, "According
to your faith will it be done to you". and their sight was restored.
Matthew 9:32-33 NIV
A man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. And
when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke.
(Spiritual insight = specific demons cause specific incurable diseases.)
Matthew 9:35 Jesus went through all the towns and
villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom
and healing every disease and sickness.
Matthew 10:1 He called His 12 disciples to
Him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every
disease and sickness.
Matthew 10:8 (These 12, Jesus sent out with the
following instructions),
(You) "Heal the sick, raise
the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons."
(Spiritual insight = If we are disciples, then we have the same instructions.)
Matthew 11: 4-7 Jesus replied, "Go back and report
to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who
have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is
preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account
of Me."
Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who
are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 12:3 (NIV)
Consider Him (Jesus Christ) Who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that
you will not grow weary and lose heart (KJV = lest you be wearied and faint in
your minds)
Matthew 12:13 He said
to the man, "Stretch out your hand." So he stretched it out and it was
completely restored, just as sound as the other. (see Mark 3:5 and Luke
6:10)
Matthew 12:15 Many followed Him (Jesus) and He
healed ALL their sick.
Matthew 12:22 They brought Him a demon-possessed man
who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could
both talk and see. (see Matthew 9:32-33)
Matthew 12:28-29
(Jesus said), "If I drive out
demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his
possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his
house."
(Spiritual insight = The baptism of the Holy Spirit aids in overcoming demons.)
Matthew 12:43-45 "When an evil spirit comes out of a man,
it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it
says, 'I will return to the house I left.' When it arrives, it finds the
house unoccupied (by the Holy Spirit), swept clean and put
in order. Then it goes and takes with it 7 other spirits more wicked than
itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is
worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation."
Matthew 13:58
He
(Jesus) did not do many miracles there because of their lack of
faith.
(Spiritual principle = Faith is the key that unlocks the door to
healing,)
Matthew14:14 Jesus went forth, saw a great multitude,
and was moved with compassion toward them; He healed their sick.
Matthew14: 35-36 People brought all their sick
to Him (Jesus) and begged Him to let the sick just touch the edge of His cloak,
and all who touched Him were healed.
Matthew 15:22-28 A Canaanite woman from that
vicinity came to Him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me!
My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession (King James
version says "grievously vexed with a devil")." Jesus did not
answer a word, so His disciples came to Him and urged Him, "Send her away, for
she keeps crying out after us." He answered, "I was sent only to the
lost sheep of Israel." The woman came and knelt before Him. "Lord,
help me!" she said. He replied, "It is not right to take the
children's bread and toss it to their dogs." "Yes Lord," she said,
"but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."
Then
Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted."
and her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Matthew 15:30-31
30Great crowds came to Him, bringing the
lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at His
feet; and He healed them.
31The people were amazed when they
saw the mute speaking, the crippled
(deformed/incomplete) made well, the lame walking and the blind
seeing. And they praised God
(the author of every good thing).
Matthew 16:19 "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you
loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
(Spiritual insight = This power was given to Christ's disciples after they
received the Baptism of the Holy spirit. Every spirit filled Christian has
Christ's authority to bind evil and loose good, according to God's timing and
will.)
Matthew 17:14-20 When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and
knelt before Him. "Lord, have mercy on my son," he said. "He has
seizures and is suffering greatly. [(KJV) He is a lunatic.] He often falls into the fire or into
the water. I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not heal him."
"O unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "How long shall I stay
with you? Bring the boy here to me." Jesus rebuked the demon, and it
came out of the boy and he was healed from that moment. Then
the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it
out?" He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the
truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this
mountain
(malady/disease/insanity), 'Move from here to there.' and it will move.
Nothing will be
impossible for you."

Matthew 18:18-20 I tell you the truth, whatever you bind
(forbid) on earth will be bound (has already been
forbidden) in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth
will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on
earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in
heaven. For there 2 or 3 come together in My name, there am I with
them.
(Spiritual insight = Do not isolate yourself from your spiritual
family.)
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said,
"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Matthew 20:34 Jesus had compassion on them and
touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight.
Matthew 21:14 The blind and the lame came to Him at
the temple, and He healed them.
Matthew 21:21-22 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if
you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you
do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can cay to this mountain, 'Go,
throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you
believe, you
will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
Matthew 24:13 He who stands firm to the end will be saved
(rescued).
Matthew 26:26 "Take and eat
(bread);
this is My body (which bears/removes the wounds/diseases/evil of the
world). (The bread at communion represents the body of Christ.)
Matthew 26:28 This is My blood of the
new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
(The wine or red grape juice at communion represents the blood of
Christ.)
Mark 1:21-27 They went to Capernaum, and when the
Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people
were amazed at His teaching, because He taught them as one Who had authority,
not as the teachers of the law. Just then a man in their synagogue who was
possessed by an evil spirit cried out, "What do You want with us, Jesus of
Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are - the Holy
One of God." "Be quiet." said Jesus sternly. "Come out of him."
The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a
shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is
this? A new teaching - and with authority. He even gives orders to
evil spirits and they obey Him."
Mark 1:40-41 A man with leprosy came to Him and begged
Him on his knees, "If You are willing, You can make me clean." Filled with
compassion, Jesus reach out His hand and touched the man. "I am willing,
"He said. "Be clean!" Immediately the leprosy left him and he was
cured.
Mark 2:10-11
"But that you may know that the Son of Man has Authority to forgive sins on
earth," He said to the paralytic, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go
home." He got up, took his mat and walked...(= Jesus forgives and
heals.)
Mark 3:5 He (Jesus) looked around at them in anger and
deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your
hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.
Mark 3:10-11 For He (Jesus) had healed
many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch
Him. Whenever the evil spirits saw Him, they (the ill) fell down before Him and
cried out, "You are the son of God."
Mark 3:23-27 So Jesus called them and spoke to them in
parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against
itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself,
that house cannot stand. If Satan opposes himself and is divided, he
cannot stand; his end has come. In fact, no one can enter a strong man's
house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man.
Then he can rob his house." (Spiritual insight = If the enemy (disease or
sin) is in my family, then the family has allowed the fox to enter the hen
house. Let us tie up the fox who is Satin.)
Mark 4:15-20 NIV
Some people are like seed along the path where the seed is sown. As soon
as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word (spiritual
insight/healing) that was sown in them. Others, like seed
sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. Since
they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or
persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Others,
like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but he worries of this life, the
deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the
word, making it unfruitful. Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the
word, accept it, and produce a crop - 30, 60 or even a 100 times what was sown."
Mark 5:2-15 (see Matthew 8) When Jesus got out of
the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet Him...No one was
strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the
hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones....He shouted at the top of
his voice, "What do You want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God:
Swear to God that You won't torture me (a demon)! For Jesus had said to
Him, "Come out of the man, you evil spirit!"
Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name? "My name is Legion," He replied,
"for we are may."...The demons begged Jesus, "Send us among the pigs; allow us
to go into them." He gave them permission, and the evil spirits came out
and went into the pigs....The people went out to see what had happened.
When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion
of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind.
(Yes, Jesus does cure mental illness.)
Mark 5:25-30 TPNT
25A woman who had a flow of blood
for 12 years, 26suffered
much under many physicians, spent everything beyond her means, and was not
helped, but rather became worse.
27Having heard about Jesus, as she came from behind the
crowd she touched the fringe (longest corner tzitzit/ tsitsit)
of His prayer shawl (outer cloak/tallit), 28for she was saying, , "If I
could just touch (the corners/wings of) His prayer
shawl,
I will be saved (healed)."

the flow of her blood dried and she knew that her body was healed from the
plague. 30Immediately Jesus
perceived in Himself that the power (healing virtue) left
Him. Turning in the crowd He was saying, "Who touched My
prayer shawl?"
(Consider Acts 19:11-12 God did extraordinary miracles
through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched
him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the
evil spirits left them.
Consider
Acts 5:15-16 People brought the sick into the
streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's
shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds
gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those
tormented by evil spirits, and ALL of them were healed.)
Mark 5:34 He (Jesus) said to her, "Daughter, your
faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering
(plague)."
(Spiritual insight = We need to touch God's healing power. A piano
needs our touch in order to make music. God is always there.
Tenacious BELIEVING is needed to turn on His healing power.)
Mark 5:36-42 Jesus told the synagogue ruler, "Don't
be afraid; just believe,"...He went in and said to them, "Why all this
commotion and wailing: The child is not dead but asleep." But
they laughed at Him. After He put them all out (because unbelief blocks healing),..He took her by
the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum (prayer shawl, rise)!" Immediately the girl stood up
and walked around (She was 12 years old). (TPNT footnote explains
that the Greek translation of the Aramaic was incorrect, because Talita coum
means in Hebrew "Prayer shawl, rise", rather than "Girl, I say to you, rise"...A
prayer shawl with healing powers in the corner tassels could have been placed
over her during prayer.)
Mark 6:5-6 He (Jesus) could not do any miracles
there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them. And He was
amazed at their lack of faith.
(Spiritual principle = In order to receive, we
need to believe.)
Mark 6:7 Calling the 12 to Him, He (Jesus)
sent them out 2 by 2 and gave them authority over evil spirits
Mark 6:12-13 They went out and preached that people should repent.
They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and
healed them. (Spiritual insight = It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that
people are healed. The Holy Spirit is symbolized by anointing oil.)
Mark 6:56 Wherever He went-into villages, town or
countryside-they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged Him to
let them touch even the edge of His cloak, and ALL who touched Him were
healed (Greek translation is sozo/saved - saved from sickness).
Mark 7:25-30 A certain woman, whose
young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of Him (Jesus) and came and fell at
His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by nation, and she sought Him
that He would cast forth the devil our of her daughter; but Jesus said to her,
"Let the children first be filled, for it is not right to take the children's
bread and to cast it to the dogs." She answered and said to Him,
"Yes, Lord; yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs." He
said to her, "For this
(heart felt) saying, go your way; the devil is gone out of your
daughter." When she came to her house, she found her daughter
lying
(peacefully) on the bed and the devil gone out
(of her daughter).
[Spiritual insight = The mother's intercession brought deliverance to her child.
Jesus honored the tenacious faith of a non Jewish female (a nobody, a nothing).]
Mark 7:32-35
There some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and
they begged Him to place His hand on the man. After He took him aside,
away from the crowd,
(away from unbelievers,) Jesus put His fingers into the
man's ears. Then He spit and touched the man's tongue. He looked up
to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Be opened.." At this, the
man's ears were opened,
(the bondage of) his tongue was loosened
(loosed) and he began to speak plainly.
(TPNT footnote states that the spittle/spit of the1st born son was
believed to have healing power.)
Mark 8:22-25 They came to Bethsaida, and some people
brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. He took the
blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When He had spit
on the man's eyes and put His hands on him. Jesus asked, "Do you see
anything?" He looked up and said, "I see people; they look like trees
walking around." Once more Jesus put His hands on the man's
eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw
everything clearly.
(Spiritual insight = Not all healings are instantaneous miracles...
According to TPNT footnote, the spittle of a first-born son was known to
have healing power.)
Mark 9:17-29 A man in the crowd answered, "Teacher,
I brought You my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of
speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He
foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked Your
disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not." "O unbelieving
generation." Jesus replied, "How long shall I stay with you?
How long
shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to Me." So they brought him.
When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion.
He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. Jesus asked the
boy's father, "How long has he been like this?" "From childhood," he
answered. "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him.
But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us." "If You can?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who
believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do
believe; help me overcome my unbelief." When Jesus saw that a crowd was
running to the scene, He rebuked the evil spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit,"
He said,
"I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."
The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked
so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead." But Jesus took him by
the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. After Jesus had gone
indoors, his disciples asked him privately, "Why couldn't we drive it out?"
He replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer

handed to Him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it was written, "'The Spirit of the Lord is on Me to preach good news to the poor. [(KJV)
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted.] He has
sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners [KJV deliverance to the captives]
and recovery of
sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of
the Lord's favor.'
...Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." (See Isaiah 61.)
Luke 4:33,35 In the synagogue there was a man
possessed by a demon, an evil spirit. Jesus said sternly, "Come out of
him!" Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out
without injuring him.
Luke 4:38-39 Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering
from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her, so He bent over her
and rebuked the fever, and it left her.
Luke 4:40-41 When the sun was setting, the people
brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying His hands on
each one, He healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many
people, shouting, "You are the son of God!"
Luke 5:13 NIV Jesus reached out
His hand and touched the man, "I am willing", He said. "Be clean",
Immediately the leprosy left him. (Insight = It appears
that unclean evil spirits left.)
Luke 5:15 ...great multitudes came together to
hear and to be healed by Him of their infirmities.
Luke 5:17-25 ...the power of the Lord was present to
heal them. Behold, men brought in a bed a man who was taken with
palsy. They sought means to bring him in and to hay him before him
(Jesus). When they could not find by what way they
might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop and let
him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
When He
(Jesus) saw their faith, He said to him, "Man,
your sins
are forgiven."
(Spiritual insight = many diseases have a root issue of sin.

)" The scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who
is This that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgives sins, but God alone?"
Jesus perceived their thoughts. Answering, He said, "What do you
reason in your hearts? What is easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven
you.' or 'Rise up and walk?' That you may know that the Son of man has
power on earth to forgive sins, I say to you
(man with palsy),
'Arise, take up your couch, and go to your house." Immediately he rose up.
Luke 5:31 Jesus answered, "It is not the healthy who
need a doctor, but the sick."
Luke 6:9-10 Jesus said,..."Stretch out your
hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored.
Luke 6:18-19 ...who had come to hear Him and to be
healed of their diseases. Those troubled by evil spirits
were cured, and the people all tried to touch Him, because
power (virtue/anointing) was coming from
Him and healing them all.
(Spiritual insight = 2 things are present. The power of God
present on earth to forgive + to heal. The eager cooperation with the power
of God.

Luke 6:36-38
Be
merciful, as your Father (God)
also is merciful.
Judge not and you shall not be judged (by God).
Condemn not, and you shall not
be condemned (by God). Forgive, and you shall be
forgiven (by God). Give, and it shall be given to you, good measure,
pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom;
for the same measure that you give shall be returned to you.
Luke 7:2-10 A centurion's servant,
whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die...He (Jesus) was not far from the house when the centurion sent
friends to say to Him, "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to
have You come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself
worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant
will be
healed...When Jesus heard this, He was amazed at him, and turning to the
crowd following Him, He said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith
even in Israel." Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and
found the servant well.
Luke 7:14-15 Then He went up and touched
the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. He said, "Young man, I
say to you, get up!" The dead man sat up and began to talk.
(Spiritual Insight = The Holy Spirit is the resurrection power then and now.)
Luke 8:1-3 The 12 were with Him and also some women
who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from
whom 7 demons had come out...and many others.
(Spiritual insight: The diseases and their root causes, the 7 evil
spirits, left.)
Luke 8:11-15 NIV "This is the meaning of
the parable. The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are
the ones who hear. Then the devil comes and takes away the word from their
hearts, so that they many not believe and be saved (rescued/healed).
Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it,
but they have no root. The believe for awhile, but in the time of testing
they fall away. the seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear;
but as they go their way, they are choked by life's worries, riches and
pleasures. They do not mature. The seed on the good soil stands for
those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by
persevering produce a crop (fruit/retained healing).
Luke 8:43-48 NIV A woman was there who had been subject
to bleeding for 12 years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind
Him and touched the edge of His cloak The
Hem of His Garment

stopped. "Who touched Me?" Jesus asked. When they all denied
it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against You."

at His feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had
touched Him and how she had been instantly healed (Greek translation is sozo/saved). Then He said to
her, "Daughter, your faith has healed
(Greek translation is sozo/saved) you. Go in peace."
Luke 9:1,6 KJVer He called His 12
disciples together and gave them power and authority over all devils and
diseases, to cure (them)...They departed and went
through the towns preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
Luke 9:38-43 "I beg you (Jesus)
to look at my son, for he is my only child. A(n evil)
spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so
that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying
him. I begged Your disciples to drive it out, but they could not." Jesus
replied, "O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I
stay with you and put up with you(r unbelief).
Bring
your son here." Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the
ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy
and gave him back to his father. And they were all amazed at the greatness
of God. (Spiritual insight = Before the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, even
the apostles were cowed by demons. However, after one receives the Holy
Spirit Baptism, he receives both courage and authority to cast out demons.)
Luke 10:1-2,9 After this, the Lord appointed 70
others and sent them 2 x 2 ahead of Him to every town and place where He was
about to go. He told them, ..."Heal the sick who are there and tell
them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.'"
Luke 10:17-20
The 70 returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your
name." He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I
have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to
overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do
not rejoice that the
(evil) spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are
written in heaven."
Luke 11:9 Ask and it will be given to
you.
Luke 13:11-13 ...a woman was there who had been
crippled by a(n evil) spirit
(of
infirmity) for 18 years. She was bent over and could not
straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her forward and
said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity."
Then He put
his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
Luke 13:15-16 The Lord answered, ..."Should not this
woman, a (physical or spiritual)
daughter
(descendant) of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for 18 long years,
be
set free
(loosed)?"
(Spiritual insight = If this is a daughter by faith in God/Jesus, then
scripture shows us that born again Christians/Jews can be molested by Satan/evil
spirit(s) to the degree of having an infirmity.)
Luke 17:6 He (Jesus) replied, "
If you have faith
as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be
uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."
Luke 17:11-14 Now on His way to Jerusalem, Jesus
traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As He was going
into a village, 10 men who had leprosy met Him. They stood at a distance
and called out in a loud voice, :"Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" When He
saw them, He said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." As they
went, they were healed.
(Spiritual insight = They experienced the cure
after the healing service and after they obeyed.)
Luke 17:15-19 One of them, when he saw he was healed,
came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet
and thanked Him - and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, "Were not all 10
cleansed? Where are the other 9? Was no one found to return and give
praise to God except this foreigner?" Then He said to him, "Rise and go;
your faith has made you well."
(Spiritual insight = We
need to Believe before we can Receive)
Luke 18:1 Jesus told His disciples...that they should
always pray and not give up.
Luke 21:26 (KJV) Men's heart failing them for
fear...
(Spiritual insight = A root cause of heart failure might be fear.)
Luke 24:49 I
(Jesus) am going to send you what My
Father (God) has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with
(Holy Spirit) power from on high.
(Spiritual insight = I + God operate
well with the baptism of water, but best with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.)
John 3:14-18 said Jesus, "Just as Moses lifted up the
snake in the desert (so that those bitten by a snake could be healed by looking
at Moses' brass snake), so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who
believes in Him may have eternal life (and healing/deliverance),
for God so loved
the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son
into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
(Spiritual insight = Satin condemns. The Holy Spirit convicts.) (The
snake usually represents evil and sin. Jesus took my sin and disease into
his body. God cannot look upon sin. That is why Jesus cried out, "Father,
why has Thou forsaken Me!" For a moment, Jesus was separated from God,
until my sin offering was completed, 2000 years before I was born.) (See
Numbers 21:4-9 This old testament story shows us that God is willing to
forgive and heal all.)
John 4:46-54
There was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. When this
man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to Him and
begged Him to come and heal his son, who was close to death...Jesus replied,
"You may go. Your son will live." The man took Jesus at His word
and departed. While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the
news that his boy was living. When he inquired as to the time when his son
got better, they said to him. "The fever left him yesterday at the 7th hour."
Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to
him, "Your son will live." (Spiritual insight = As Jesus is still alive,
we can take Him at His word now for our healing and also for the healing of our
children.)
John 5:4-9,14
An angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water.
Whoever who first stepped in after the troubling of the water was made whole of
whatever disease he had. A certain man was there who had an infirmity 38
years. When Jesus saw him lying there and
learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, He asked him, "Do
you want to get well?" The invalid answered Him, "Sir I have no man
to put me into the pool when the water is troubled; while I am coming another
steps down before me." Then Jesus said to him, "Get up. Pick up your
mat and walk." At once the man was cured; he picked up his
mat and walked...Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you
are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
(Spiritual insight = Jesus Himself connected disease to sin, here in this
instance.)

They asked Him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus
answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent."
John 8:15 "I (Jesus)
judge no man,
but if I do judge, My decisions are right, because I stand with the Father, Who
sent Me. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of 2 men is
valid.."
(Spiritual insight = It is satin who condemns. It is the Holy
Spirit Who convicts of sin unto repentance.)
John 8:36 If the Son makes you free,
you shall be free indeed.

(Jesus said,) He (Satan)
was a murderer
from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.
When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of
lies. (Spiritual insight =There is a spirit of murder)
John 9:1-7 He saw a man blind from birth. His
disciples asked Him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was
born blind?" "Neither this man nor his parents sinned,' said Jesus, "but
this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his
life. As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent Me.
Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the
light of the world." Having said this, He spit on the ground, made
some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. "Go," He
told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam", so the man went
and washed, and came home seeing. ("The cause of the suffering was
to manifest divine providence." per Hampsch in Healing Your Family Tree)
(The disciples speak of a spiritual principle of generational sin as well
as person sin that causes illness.)
John 10:10
"The Thief (Satan)
comes only to steal and kill and
destroy (the body, mind/soul, spirit);

(Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the
full (today on earth, not just in heaven)."
John 11:22 NIV Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had
been here, my brother would not have died. I know that even now God
will give You
(Jesus) whatever You ask."
John 11:39-43 "Lord," said Martha,
the sister of the dead man, "By this time there is a bad odor, for he has been
there for 4 days." Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you
believed, you would see the glory of God?" So they took away the
stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank You that You

John 14:6-14 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the
truth and the life (which includes health).
No one comes to the Father
except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as
well...Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show
us the Father? Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the
Father is in Me. The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather,
it is the Father, living in Me, Who is doing His work. Believe Me when I say that I am in
the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least believe the evidence of the
miracles themselves. I tell you the truth,
anyone who
has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He
will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the
Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that
the
Son (Jesus) may bring glory to the Father
(God). You may ask Me
for anything in My Name, and I will do it."
(Spiritual insight = every one who BELIEVES in Jesus the son of God has
available to him the same Holy Spirit power of Christ to heal.)

(Scriptural insight = Weekly church attendance is not enough. We need to
read our Bibles daily and then to meditate on what we read, for scripture is
spiritual food for our souls .)
John 16:7
"Unless I (Jesus)
go away, the Counselor (Holy
Spirit) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to
you."
John 16:23,24 "I
tell you the truth, My Father will give you whatever you ask in My
name. Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and
you will receive, and your joy will be complete."
John 16:33
"In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I
(Jesus)
have overcome the world (evil & disease)."
John 19:30 NIV Jesus said, "It is finished!"
With that He bowed His head and gave up His (human) spirit
(life/He died). (Spiritual insight = Other Greek
synonyms/translations are heart, mind, breath, and Holy Spirit. Lower case
spirit means human spirit and upper case Spirit means Holy Spirit.)
(Forgiveness of sins is finished. Healing of the body is finished.
Healing of the mind is finished. Overcoming Satan is finished.
Deliverance from demons is finished.)
John 20:21-24 Jesus said, "Peace be with you!
As the Father has sent Me, I am sending you." And with that He breathed on
them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his
sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."
(God, forgive us, as we forgive others.)
(Spiritual insight = When His Holy Spirit enters us we become His
disciples/priests/mouth and can forgive, His hands and can heal/deliver.)
John 20:26-28 Jesus came and stood among them and said,
"Peace be with you!" Then He said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see My
hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting
and believe." (Spiritual insight = The world
existed in God's mind first, before creation.)
John 20:30-31 Jesus did many other miraculous signs
in the presence of His disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But
these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God,
and that by believing you may have (a healthy and eternal) life in His Name.
Acts 1:8
(Jesus said,) "...You will receive power (to
do miracles/heal/deliver/preach salvation)
when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses...
Acts 2:38-39
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of
Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of
the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for
all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call.
(Spiritual insight= We all have been called, but all have not recognized His
call...Let us claim with tenacity God's promises, both for ourselves and for
those on our hearts. Jesus is the boat to eternal life, but it is His Holy
Spirit that is the sail in the boat.)
Acts 3:6-7 Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." Taking him by the right hand,
he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong.
He jumped to his feet and began to walk.
Acts 3:16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this
man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the
faith
that comes through Him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can
all see.
Acts 3:19
Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins (and diseases)
may be blotted out.
Acts 4:7-12 NIV They had Peter and John brought before
them and began to question them. "By what power or what Name did you do this?"
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers and elders of the
people, if we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to
a cripple and are asked how he was healed, then know this...It is by the
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (whom you crucified but whom God raised
from the dead) that this (crippled) man stands before you
healed
(Greek translation is sozo or saved.) He is the
stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone. Salvation
(healing/deliverance) is found in no one else, for
there is no other name under heaven given to men by Whom we must be saved
(in mind, body, spirit)
(Spiritual insight = We too have crucified Christ, for He died for the
sins of generations past, present and future.)
Acts 5:15-16 People brought the sick into the
streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's
shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds
gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those
tormented by evil spirits, and ALL of them were healed.
Acts 8:7 With shrieks, evil spirits came out of
many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.
(Spiritual insight = Connect the dots and see the relationship between evil
spirits and illness.)
Act 8:14-17 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard
that Samaria had accepted the Word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.
When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been
baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John placed their
hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
(Spiritual insight = Baptism of water for forgiveness of sins + Baptism of Holy
Spirit for power over evil.)
(Spiritual insight = It is
the Holy Spirit that heals others through us, so we need to receive the Holy
Spirit.)
Acts 9:17-18 Ananias went to the house and entered
it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the
Lord Jesus, Who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here has sent me
so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see
again. He got up and was baptized (in the name of Jesus Christ for
the forgiveness of his sins).
Acts 9:34 "Aeneas,"
Peter said to him, "Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and take care
of your mat." Immediately Aeneas (a paralytic) got
up.
Acts 9:34 TPNT "
Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Messiah is healing you.
You must rise and you must immediately take care of your own pallet." He
got up at once."
Acts 9:40-41 Peter sent them (the unbelieving
widows) all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed.
Turning toward the dead woman, He said, "Tabitha, get up." She
opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up. He took her by the hand and
helped her to her feet. Then he called the believers and the widows and
presented her to them alive.
Acts 10:38 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
Holy Spirit and power, and...He went around doing good and healing
all who were [(KJV) oppressed by] under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.
(Insight = Christ is a synonym of anointed.)
Acts 14:3 they (Paul and Barnabas)...granted signs
and wonders to be done by their hands.
(Spiritual insight = We too as disciples have opportunity to do signs and
wonders, by the power of Jesus Christ.)
Acts 13:39 (NIV) I want you to know
that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins in proclaimed to you. Through
Him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be
justified from the law of Moses. Take care that what the prophets have
said does not happen to you, "Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am
going to do something in your days that you would never believe, even if someone
told you." (miracles, wonders, and healings for those who believe and do
not scoff)
Acts 14:8-10 In Lystra there sat a man crippled in his
feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul as
he was speaking (God's word). Paul looked directly at him, saw that
he had faith to be healed and called out, "Stand up on your feet!"
At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
(Spiritual insight = Faith comes by hearing God's word.)
Acts 16:16-18 We were met by a slave girl who had a
spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money
for her owners by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and the rest of
us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you
the way to be saved. She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul
became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the
name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment
the spirit left her. (Spiritual insight = Satin can counterfeit the
gifts of the Holy Spirit.)
Acts 18:2-3 TPNT
2Paul came to them,
3and because they they were in the
same trade he was staying with them, and he was working; for they all were
prayer shawl makers by trade.
(TPNT footnote "Prayer shawl making required rabbinic training that all 3
had...Jewish men referred to the prayer shawl as a "tent or prayer closet",
because it was placed over the head to shield the eyes while
praying.) (Additional insight = Paul was a "tent maker"...Jesus said to go into
your prayer closet; for the Jews this meant to go under your prayer shawl/tent!)
Matthew 6:6 TPNT "When you would
pray, you must go into your secret room; after you lock your door, pray to your
Father, to the One in secret; then your Father, the One Who sees in secret, will
reward you."
Acts 19:11-12 God did extraordinary miracles
through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched
him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the
evil spirits left them.
Acts 20:9-10,12
When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was
picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his
arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said, "He's alive!"
The people took the young man home alive.
(In Jesus' name, you and I who have the Holy Spirit can raise the dead,
even today.)
Acts 28:8-9 His father was sick in bed, suffering
from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer,
placed his hands on him and healed him. When this had
happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the
power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes; first for
the Jews, then for the Gentiles.
(The New Testament original Greek word soteria tanslates as
salvation, deliverance, health, rescue and safety)
Romans 4:13,17, It was not through law that Abraham and
his (spiritual) offspring received the promise that he would be heir of
the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith...He
(Abraham) is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed - the God
Who gives life to the dead and calls (speaks) things that are not as
though they were...The words "it was credited to him" were
written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit
righteousness - for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord
from the dead. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised
to life for our justification.
(Spiritual Principle = I am a spiritual son of Abraham if I believe what God
says in the scripture. If I am a spiritual son of God, having accepted Jesus as
my savior and the Holy Spirit as my baptizer, then I can speak out loud
things that are not as though they were and see God fulfill His promises in the
scripture.)
Romans 7:21-25 When I want
to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight
in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging
war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at
work within my members. What a wretched man I am. Who will rescue me
from this body of death. Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Spiritual insight = The human struggle with evil is that we often fail to
recognize that it is the evil spirit not self that is at war with the Holy
Spirit. Once we recognize who the enemy is we can better defeat him,
through Jesus Christ's power.)
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no
condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:11 If
the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead is in you, He that raised
up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (heal/raise up)
your mortal bodies (from their sicknesses and from death)
by His Spirit that dwells in you. (Spiritual insight =
The Holy Spirit can heal us now, before death.)
Romans 8:15 You
have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the
Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father (God/daddy).

Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet
have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in

Romans 8:31-34 If God is for us, who can be

will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God Who
justifies. Who is he that condemns? (Not God). Jesus Christ, Who died - more than that, Who was raised to life - is at the
right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ; Shall trouble or hardship, demons.. or anything
else in all creation?
Romans 10:9-17 ...If you confess with your mouth,
"Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the
dead, you will be saved. for it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As
the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame."
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all
and richly blesses all who call on Him, for. "Everyone who calls on the Name of
the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the One they have not
believed in? And how can they believe in the One of Whom they have not
heard?...Consequently, faith (for forgiveness, salvation and healing) comes
from hearing...the Word of

we recognize this, we then can exercise our NO muscle to reject such unhealthy

Christ has redeemed (paid the bail for) us from the curse

(breaking) the law, being made a curse
(trade/substitute) for us: for it is written, cursed
(evil/despised/diseased) is every one who hangs on a tree.

hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the
universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made
out of what was visible.

to materialize. Likewise we need to zip our lip to those things that would
