"I often feel insignificant."  Excellent.  Our view, our perspective needs to be through God's eye glasses, not ours.  We ARE significant in His eyes.  Our true significance is always based on His strength in us, not our strength in ourselves.  We always need to rely on Him first and foremost, and in that wisdom we begin to act.  There are numerous stories of missionaries who begin daily in fear and trembling, but are then overtaken by God's anointing/power/strength/wisdom.  Likewise, we in awe/respect/trust need to do the same.  As we take toddler spiritual steps we build spiritual muscle; daily it takes both time and  persistence. Our spiritual enemies/vultures/predators would have us quit, isolate ourselves, and have a pity party - unprotected/alone where they can terrorize/control/victimize us.  Do NOT be conned by those liars/bullies/jerks/losers/tricksters.
The Lord would have us see ourselves as He sees us.  Actually, it is a sin for us not perceive ourselves as the Lord does.  This sin may cause autoimmune diseases, those illnesses where our bodies attack ourselves.  Antibodies attack us instead of the enemy.  We will always walk with a limp in our spiritual life until the forgiving and loving thoughts of God toward us live in our heart instead of only in our mind. 
When we believe anything contrary to what God believes, then we are believing a lie, most likely a lie/ deception of Satan.  If our real identity does not agree/line up with what Christ/God says about us in scripture, then it must be discarded/buried with Christ and traded for His truth/thoughts.  One major stumbling block is our feelings.  Many of us believe/agree with our feelings. Real truth is only what God/ Christ says in scripture. Ask to borrow God's eye glasses!
Second, many of our thoughts are not from us. 1/3 are from Satan.  1/3 are from God.  1/3 are from self.
Always filter each negative thought.  Put it under God's microscope.  If it does not agree with God's heart, then reject it.  Scripture says to capture each thought and to bring each thought into alignment with God, the same way we would take a car in for an alignment; our ride in life will be much smoother.
2nd Corinthians 10:4-5   The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. 
Third, our deeds are not us.  Our sins can be repented of, forgiven, and separated from us.  Therefore what was done to us or what we did can be separated from us.  What God forgives, he does not accuse us of.  The accuser is Satan and Satan is a liar.  Like a sponge, Jesus absorbed all our sins when we confessed them.  When the accuser comes, tell him, "In the name of Jesus, go away."  In all likelihood, Satan missed his chance to repent and is jealous of you who did repent.  This messing around with you may be an attempt at revenge towards God.  For Satan to waste his time with you, means that you are extremely valuable to God.  When the enemy comes again, do not succumb; rather laugh.  Know that you are wise to the tactics of the enemy.

Have we asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness? 
Lord, please forgive me.  Thank You, Lord.

I will obtain a Bible and read it a lot for the rest of my life.

Scripture admonishes us to be dead to self.  WHY?  It is the self that gets wounded.  It is the self where Satin is often able to get a toe or foothold into our lives.  We do not need to protect self.  That is God's job.  We need to be dead to self and alive to God.  Then we are dead to Satan and his tricks.  Satan basically tricks our 5 senses.  That is one reason why fasting is such a great spiritual tool. So good in fact that even those in the occult use it - against us.  A dead man, that is dead to self (flesh or hurt feelings), cannot say ouch, according to God.

ROMANS 8:33-34 KJV    It is God who justifies.  Who is He (Satan) that condemns?  It is Christ that died, yes rather, Who is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also makes intercession for us.

In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him Who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of His glory. 
EPHESIANS 1:8-23 NIV    I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.  That power is like the working of His mighty strength which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all  rule and authority, power, dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.  God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him   Who fills everything in every way. (Spiritual insight = When we become blood relatives of Jesus/God we have all the spiritual powers of the family business = healing, raising the dead, miracles, etc.)
EPHESIANS 2:19 KJV    You are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. 

PHILIPPIANS 2:5-7    Let this MIND be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation.

PHILIPPIANS 3:20-21 KJV    Our citizenship is in heaven, where we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will transform our lowly body, that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

COLOSSIANS 1:12-13,22    12Thanks to the Father, Who has qualified you (me) to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 13Who rescued us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son by His love.
22Now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death (on the cross) to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation - if you continue in your faith.
COLOSSIANS 2:15 TPNT    God disarmed the principalities and the authorities.  He made them an example, exposing them publicly, when He triumphed over them through Him, Messiah.

HEBREWS 10:1-18   The (Jewish) law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming - not the realities themselves.  For this reason it can never, by the same (animal) sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.  If it could, would they not have stopped being offered?  For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.  But those sacrifices are annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said, "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body You prepared for Me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.  Then I said, 'Here I am - it is written about Me in the scroll -I have come to do Your will, O God."  First He said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made).  Then He said, "Here I am. I have come to do Your will."  He sets aside the 1st (law) to establish the 2nd.  And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once, for all.
Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same (animal) sacrifices, which can never take away sins.  But when this priest (Jesus Christ) had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God.  Since that time He waits for His enemies (demons) to be made His footstool (crushed under His feet), because by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 
The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this.  First He says, "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time," says the Lord.  "I will put My laws in their hearts and I will write them on their minds."  The He adds, "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." (So let us also not remember in such a way that allows shame and guilt to entrap us and drag us down into depression, suicide, and sin. Let us say no to such negative feelings and thoughts that are now today lies of satin, if we are forgiven.)  And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
HEBREWS 10:22-23    Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.  Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He Who promised is faithful.
HEBREWS 10:32-33    Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering.  Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution.    
HEBREWS 10:35,39    So do not throw away your confidence.  We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. (Let us meditate on what God and not on what satin tells our minds.  Let us reject all lies.  We are not doomed.  It is satin who is doomed.)

JAMES 5:13-16

1st PETER 2:9    You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him Who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.  Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God.  Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I bind, cast out, and place under the feet of Jesus
the spirits of self-hatred and the spirits of self condemnation of all past, present and future generations.

Sometimes doctors, psychiatrists and even family members believe that they are normal and we are not.  Never mind.  It is what God thinks.  Father knows best is true.  We need to focus on what God sees and not even on what we see, but what we believe.  Take God at His word.  Children take time to grow up and so does the soul.  Give yourself and God time to finish the work that needs to be done in us by Him and with Him.  He is our role model and our mentor.  He is our wheelchair.  He is our cane or crutch.  Never believe what you see in the mirror.  Believe what is in your heart and in God's heart.  Memorize the scripture you need to keep you afloat.  Say it all day long, regardless of how you feel.  Never rely on feelings.  They can sabotage you.  If we are in God's family, then we are royalty, regardless if others never notice.  Doesn't God have a great sense of humor. 

Thank You God, that You are so wise.  Thank You God, that we are blood relatives.  Thank You that You are our dad.  Thank You that You Love me.  Thank You for all Your promises in scripture.  Thank You for the hope we have in Your faithfulness, inch by inch, day by day.  Thank You for Your angels that protect us from danger.  Thank You for being our friend, when we are lonesome, rejected and scared.  Thank You that I am OK.  Thank You that I am getting better, daily, because of Your grace, mercy, love and power.  In fact, thank You for being my doctor, the best one in the universe.

Joyce Meyer, after a fight with her husband, had a spell of self: criticism, condemnation, reproach and put down.  As she continued this negative self talk, an ominous black cloud began to descend upon her and envelop her.  She recognized the cloud as being her enemy and immediately began to affirm, "I am the righteousness of God," over and over again, as the cloud began to retreat and then disappear.  This testimony can be found on audio cassette #A236 Broken and Made Whole   www.joycemeyer.org  We need to learn that a lot of our negative feelings, if internalized, are or invite negative spirits.  We need to separate ourselves from them.  Our safety is in speaking the word of God, what He says about us, regardless of what we feel, even regardless of what we think.  God, help us to disregard our negative feelings that get us into trouble.  Our mind, emotions, memories are soul.  God is spirit.  Spiritually we are newborns at the moment the Holy Spirit unites with our spirit.  Only by the power of God in us can we realistically defeat negativity.  We are impotent to overcome the enemy on our own. Why?  God is a spirit.  Satin is a spirit.  It is a spiritual battle, first and foremost, played on the chessboard of life.

Joyce Meyer in her The War for Man's Soul video and editorial in 10/04 Enjoying Everyday Life magazine reminds us of the following.  Our soul is mind, will and emotions. At the moment our spirit is renewed by God placing His Spirit inside us (the 2 shall become 1), is the moment that our soul becomes alive to Him, but also the moment we BEGIN to grow in Him.  We have spiritual daily growing pains, daily battles between choosing between God's and Satan's will, daily "votes" for or against God or our enemy.  When we constantly focus on our sins, failures, mistakes, shortcomings, then we neglect to focus on Jesus.  Instead we are fellowshipping with the enemy and rejecting God's forgiveness. God asked Joyce, "Are you going to keep fellowshipping with your failures and weaknesses or are you going to fellowship with Me?"  Focusing on our failures and weaknesses make them worse.  Where our attention goes, goes the power.  This is war.  The One Who wins it is not us, but God.  Let us allow Him to finish the work He has begun in us by concentrating on what He says about us in scripture and not what the enemy says about us in our thoughts.  Let us read aloud and memorize Romans 6, 7 and 8.

James E Collins, pastor of Eagle Heights, Revere, Massachusetts shares the story of Bill Wilson, a New York Bus Pastor. (3/6/05 radio AM 590) Bill's dad took off, never to return.  Then his mom left him on a street corner and never returned.  However, what Satan intended for evil, God used as a blessing.  A man found and parented him.  He learned to repair buses and is now rescuing children in the ghetto.  NEVER allow another to define who you are.  NEVER allow a disease to define who you are.  Instead meditate on the Word of God.  Soak in the fatherly love of God.  BELIEVE that you are special to Him.  The more we experience the Love of God, the more we can trust.  If we are 2/3 full of God then we can function at 2/3 capacity.  Our spiritual engines need to be refueled daily.  No car or person can run on empty.

From the book From Judaism to Christianity let us affirm this visualization with Morris Cerullo, "Even now, I visualize 'God's Presence' flowing like a mighty stream into my being.  In the 'Stream of God's Presence' is Divine sufficiency for every need.  This very moment God's Presence is overflowing my whole being, bringing Divine Health and giving me strength to be 'complete in Him.'  I see myself as God sees me; I am a whole person."  Thank you God.

Satan has a bag of tricks.
Satan used the "bait and switch" tactic on Eve, the first woman in the universe.
However, what we need to look at now is the "I" word = me, myself and I.
When we think or have negative self talk, it is usually like this, "I am no good.  I am shit.  I wish I had never been born, because it is too painful to live, etc."
If we have told God we are sorry for our sins (regardless of how we now feel about them).
Fact and feelings are not necessarily the same.  Feelings can be lies of our enemy.  Satan is the one who goes about condemning us around the clock.  God on the other hand is forgiving and comforting.
If we have asked the invisible Jesus Christ to live in our hearts and be our savior.
If we have asked Jesus to baptize us with His Holy Spirit.
Then the Trinity (God, Son, Holy Spirit) has said YES, YES, YES. 
The Trinity does not allow for a divorce.  Spiritual laws and government laws are not always the same.
We are His for better or worse.  And He is ours - for ever.

How do I walk out my wellness on a daily basis?

The evil spirit, the devil, sneaks in the back door and contradicts whatever scripture says.  Not only that, he does it by deceit, giving us thoughts which are his and tricking us into thinking they are ours.  When we hear in our head thoughts that disagree with scripture, we must respond immediately with scripture.  For example. When Satin says in our mind, "I am not saved.  I am not good enough.  I am not worthy."  We are to immediately think/answer back the words of God's scripture:

"None of his sins that he committed shall be mentioned to him." Ezekiel 33:16
"He will  subdue our iniquities.  Thou will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." Mica 7:19
"Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." Matthew 8:17
"There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."  Romans 8:1
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36 
"Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more." Hebrews 10:17
"The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  2nd Corinthians 10:4-5
"Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusts Thee."

Listen to Holy Scripture continually on the radio, TV, audio cassettes, CD's.
Sing hymns continually.
Memorize any scripture that is relevant to you personally.
Go to church and Christian or Jewish groups at least once a week.
Find a prayer partner who you can call any day any hour.
Read scripture daily, even if it is one paragraph.
Why?  We cannot defend our self against the enemy of our soul if we do not know the word of God.
The devil is a liar and we will fail to recognize his lies if we do not first know the word of God.
Second, Satin often uses the human flesh, our feelings to trick us.  What we perceive as us is really the enemy.  He is the author of disease and negative emotions.  If  we feel sick, fearful, or inferior, beware.  It may not be the medication.  It may not be ourselves.  It may be the enemy.  With all our might, we need to yell out loud or silently in our head, whatever God gives to us to contract Satan's lies and deceptions.  Satan will take out anyone who will not defend himself.  Get your pastor to pray for you daily.  Go to mass daily, even if you are Jewish.  The blood and bread of Christ in communion terrorizes the real enemy, Satan.  Doctors and relatives are not our real enemies.  It is the invisible enemy, Satan.  However, let us NOT be afraid, for the Holy Spirit in us is greater than Satan.  Let us stand up and defend ourselves, like David and Goliath, and win.  Satan is all bluff and fakery.  Let us not be tricked.

Benny Hinn's Fresh Manna CDs www.bennyhinn.org  teach that when we acknowledge Jesus as our savior and lord, He implants, like a tooth, His spirit into us.  That spirit is newborn.  It is a person.  It is alive.  It needs to be fed spiritually.  It needs to grow.  That spirit is housed in a body, our body.  Our body is not a person.  Our body is a house.  The third thing Hinn teaches is that the soul is the connection between the body and the mind.  The soul houses the mind and the intellect.  However, spiritual insight and spiritual comprehension is NOT in the soul, but in the spirit.  It is the spirit that will go to heaven.  The soul follows whichever is stronger, the spirit or the body.  As the spirit grows up it can surpass the body in maturity.  Then the soul can follow the leadings of the spirit more easily. Thus, there is hope for all of us.  It is the spirit that goes to heaven.  The body is left behind.  It is the spirit that matters to God.  God looks at the heart, the motives, the attitudes, all invisible to mankind.  So  every day let us feed our spirit, the real us, according to God.

Have we been told that we are the sum total of our experiences, our genes, and perhaps our perceptions?  That may be true for the human being who has not been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.   When we asked Jesus to be our personal savior and when we asked Jesus to baptize us with His Spirit, we became an empowered member of God's spiritual family.  We have a dual citizenship.  One on earth and one on heaven.  Some countries allow dual citizenship.  God allows this, too.  We now have a heavenly passport with our picture, name, and heavenly address on it.  When we pass on from life to death, our spirit is not dead, but just passes on to heaven, with the Holy Spirit in us as our heavenly passport.  The Holy Spirit is our ticket to heaven, paid for with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Why repeat all this that you already know?  Because, now that we are a member of God's family and a brother/sister to Jesus, we need to talk in the language of our new citizenship.  Other than tongues, we need to learn to speak 24 hours a day the Word of God (the language, thoughts and heart of God).  That means we need to saturate our brain cells with the thoughts of God, so we can think like He thinks and say what He says.  We slowly change from a caterpillar into a butterfly, as we are obedient to think and say what scripture says, and to disregard what we the human feel and think that contradicts scripture.  At first it is impossible, of course; but the newborn spirit in us, that now belongs to God, will grow inch by inch and day by day as we feed it the word of God.  We must refuse to accept thoughts that contradict God.  We must reject lies that contradict God's word.  We must refuse to accept everything we see that contradicts God.  If my mind and my feelings tell me to desire death in order to avoid emotional paid, then immediately I need to reject that idea and that feeling,  IN THE NAME OF JESUS, because it contradicts God's thoughts and feelings toward me. I now have a new reality, a new citizenship.  The longer I learn, speak, and think the language of God, the more safe, comfortable, loved and free I will be.  This is NOT a mind game or trick.  God SPOKE the earth into existence.  What we see is of our earthly citizenship.  What God speaks pertains mainly to our spiritual citizenship, but also to our human existence.  Be encouraged to speak His words.  Speak His heavenly wellness into our earthly brains.  Let our ears hear God's words.  Let the enemy of our soul hear God's words.  Let our brain cells hear God's words and be renewed.  If the enemy comes and says that we are talking like a fool, tell him, "IN THE NAME OF JESUS, I place you under the feet of Jesus."
Romans 8:1 says: There is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the (Holy) Spirit.
Matthew 8:16 says: He cast out the (evil) spirits with a WORD and healed ALL.  No psychiatrist, no medicine, just God talk.  Jesus said that he only spoke what He heard his father speak.  Let us only speak what we read in scripture.  It is a win, win situation, if we do not faint or quit under the attacks of well intentioned others or of the not well intentioned devil, who says that since he missed out on God's blessings, he does not want us to get them either (and will do everything in his power to snare us).
Matthew 9:4        Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?"  Evil thoughts are any thoughts which disagree with scripture.  Human, from the enemy, from the past, any and all thoughts not of God will harm me.  See the great urgent need to know scripture, to believe scripture, and to speak scripture.  It will take a life time to think and speak the language of heaven, but the Holy Spirit was sent to be our helper.  If a thought or feeling comes along and latches onto us, immediately say, "Oh, I recognize you.  Be gone, IN THE NAME OF JESUS."

Merlin Carothers in his 8/04 Praise News newsletter www.merlincarothers.com says that in addition to physical exercise, we need to exercise controlling what we think!  In stead of being in a daze or mental fog, we can say thank you God and praise Him, even if it is for our feet being able to walk.  Merlin encourages us to use our idle time for Him, not in serving Him necessarily, but in our attitudes and thoughts.  Concentrating on aches and problems, sink our soul and increase the pain volume.  Singing raises our joy and wellness.  There are many case studies that prove this medically, because happiness triggers natural chemicals in our bodies boosting our immunity and wellbeing.  Mary Carothers goes on to say that when thoughts of condemnation come, it is imperative to shoo them away with scripture that contradicts such lies of the devil.  We can always say, "Lying spirit, go away in the name of Jesus."  If we need help we can call on God to send His warring angels to defend us.  In addition, let us never be afraid to call a close friend, relative or pastor for prayer.  Jesus says, "Where 2 or 3 are gathered together, in My name, there am I."

Reinhardt Bonnke says that God habitually elects the rejects, and chooses those put aside by man.

William Marrion Branham's 1st chapter in The Revelation of the 7 Seals comforts us who are less educated, polished, renown, known, self-sufficient.  It shares that God prefers the nobodies to astonish the somebodies.  God prefers secrecy and simplicity to astound the famous and instruct the child.  That way no one can claim the credit which is due only to God.  Those who are the scum of the earth have the best chance with God.  Moses, due to poor self-image was given his brother as a help mate.  In scripture, many of those used by God needed constant reassurance, due to negative self-worth.  Never, never base your worth on what others, educators, bosses, parents, doctors proclaim is THE truth.  Instead, only base your worth on what God says in scripture.  If in any way, we fall short, then confess.  Then we are covered with the blood of Jesus, and God cannot see that sin ever again; so we must not remind ourselves or God of something that is already forgiven.  If an enemy reminds us of past sin, then reject that accusation, every single time!  www.branham.org

Another insight.  Suppose we have been assigned to teach a Sunday/Saturday school class or to preach from the pulpit.  We discover after the sermon is delivered that there is a lot of praise, but to our surprise the praise falls short.  Our neediness is too great.  The words have blessed the congregation.  The Lord has blessed His sheep.  The Lord has received His due praise.  What has gone wrong?  Our need to be accepted for who we are is too great.  Our work is excellent, so it seems.  We, however fall short.  The real problem is how we view ourselves.  We do not perceive ourselves from God's vantage.  We need to borrow God's eye glasses.  If in fact, we are God's children, then we are fully accepted in Christ Jesus.

1st Kings 17:1-6 NKJV  1Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand,"...2Then the Word of the Lord came to him (Elijah), saying, 3"Get away from here, turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.  4It will be that you (Elijah) shall drink from the brook.  I have commanded the ravens to feed you  (Elijah) there."  5So he (Elijah) went and did according to the Word of the Lord, for he (Elijah) went and stayed by the Brook Chreith, which flows into the Jordan.  6The ravens brought him  (Elijah) bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening.  He (Elijah) drank from the brook.
(PS - Notice in your  grocery store a bread called Elijah bread!)  
Notice, it is God - not the ravens - who get the credit for ministering to Elijah!
 
If there are character defects remaining in us, Oh Lord, please deal with them quickly, but gently.  Let us be soft like unfired clay, so we can be molded aright, and then ready to withstand the fire of Your Holy Spirit, so that we will not faint or wilt under the school of hard knocks, the tricks of the enemy, or Your holy discipline.  In Jesus Name we  pray.

In the Garden of Eden there was NO SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS, at least NO sense of embarrassment/shame/neediness/ inadequacy until Satan tricked man into sinning/self sufficiency/disobedience/separation from God. 
Arthur Burt in Wales www.arthurburt.com is one of the best to highlight the need to DIE to SELF and allow Christ to replace that subsequent vacancy in oneself.  Sin allowed something to create a self or at least to damage it &/or create an unholy monster with the sin-nature similar to that of Satan.  Numerous churches have infant baptism to eradicate this inherited "original sin" nature.  Most all churches have an adult baptism to wash away this inherited sin (original/actual/nature).
It is the self which gets/allows hurt to the psyche and which one attempts to defend/protect and with which one reacts/strikes out in retaliation to punish/hurt others. It is the part of us that needs/wants a doctor/shrink/psychiatrist and/or psychiatric meds.  It is the part of us that needs a hug/kiss/comforter.  It is the part of us that may allow addiction to alcohol/drugs/porn/ promiscuity in the search for comfort and/or control of self/others.
When self is dead it cannot be hurt.  We need to allow Jesus Christ to heal all wounds.  We need to respond only to God and never to circumstances.  This is nothing to do with allowing others to walk all over us.  It does have to do with deep intimacy with Christ and having deep fellowship with His Holy Spirit.  Saint Paul mentions a lot his dying to self and living to Christ.
Father God, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, I am looking for a quick fix, but I also recognize that I need time to grow spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.  Come quickly.  Remove my fear, hurts and despair.  Give me hope, peace, Your wisdom, holy friends, and human help.  Help me to trust those whom You send to me.  I choose to die to self and to live for You according to the daily insight and power You daily provide, one day at a time. 
I repent for every single sin of what I have done, namely ______________. 
I repent for every single sin of what I have failed to do, namely ________________. 
I place them under Your blood. 
I repent for every sin in my family committed against You, namely ________________ . 
I forgive all sins committed against me personally, namely _____________ .
I forgive all sins committed against my family including my ancestors, namely _____________ .  
I separate these sins from us and cover us with Your blood. 
I renounce and reject Satan and all his works. 
I ask You, Jesus to come into my heart and live there permanently, right now, today _________.

I come to you NOT on my merits but on the merits of Your body wounded and blood shed for us on Your cross at Calvary 2000 years ago.  It was not only that generation's sins but also my sins that caused Your suffering and death. Thank You for having the power to rise from that death and for having the same resurrection power now indwell me through Your Holy Spirit to heal my mind, body, and spirit, to heal others through my cooperation with You, to have Your strength to resist/reject  temptation, plus to take my spirit to live with You in heaven when my body dies.  Amen.

Chapter 6 God's Address has section The Sin of Interiority.  It is a sin because it contradicts Truth.  "Nothing is impossible to the person who believes."  A man testifies, "As I was sitting there listening to your words, I suddenly came out of my state of sickness (mental illness due to worry and inferiority complex)."  Chains and electric shock did not work, but the Holy Spirit did.  He learned to rely on the Holy Spirit living inside of him and became confident and prosperous; he did not relapse in time of financial disaster.

Jesus had to be made "a little lower than the angels" (birthed as a human/take on the garment of flesh) to become vulnerable, humble, tested, obedient, and to fulfill God's secret purposes from the foundation of the earth.  Jesus' restraint against self defense and retaliation during his abuse, torment, and crucifixion was resolute/immutable. Had Jesus the man given in to His feelings and ignored His purpose for becoming human (Holy Spirit housed in flesh), He would have thwarted God's plan and left mankind bereft without any recourse of reconciliation with God or chance to have eternal life.  Adam failed.  Perhaps Jesus had the opportunity to fail, but He chose not to fail.  Each of us have ongoing opportunities to fail or not.  Father, God in Jesus name, we apologize for each and every past failure as well as the failures of our ancestors.  We receive the forgiveness provided by Your son.  Thank You.  Now we ask for Your help and empowerment for today and tomorrow not to fail but rather to be a blessing both to You and to others.  Amen.

New names imparted (especially by God, but also by a new husband) indicates who we are in the eyes of those who behold us. A NEW or CHANGED NAME  has spiritual and often legal significance.  Both the Catholic and the Jewish community impart new names during specific sacramental ceremonies, plus most all religions and civil authorities add the husband's sir name to the wife's during the wedding ceremony.

Self worth or identity is also affected by ADOPTION, whether we are adopted or whether we adopt.
In fact we have heard of stories where there is an "adoption syndrome" seen in Russian infants adopted by Americans where the children do not allow the parents to parent/love/touch them, somewhat like what one would see with an autistic child.

Romans 8:14-19 KJV    Many as are led by the Spirit of God...are the sons of God.  You have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear.  You have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit Itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.  If children, then heirs.  Heirs of God.  Joint heirs with Christ...We suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.  I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  The earnest expectation of the creature (our body, mind and spirit) waits for the manifestation of the sons of God (the Holy Spirit would finish what He has begun in our lives.)
Romans 8:23 KJV    Ourselves..have the first fruits of the (Holy) Spirit...We ourselves groan inside ourselves, waiting for ADOPTION, that is, the redemption of our body.
Romans 9:4 KJV    Who are the Israelites to whom pertains the ADOPTION, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises?
Romans 9:8 KJV    The children of the flesh are NOT the children of God.  The children of the promise are counted for the seed (sons/heirs/blood relative),
Romans 9:9 KJV      that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him who calls.    (Isaac was a son both of blood and promise, due to Abraham's faith in God.  The other son was of blood, but out of Sarah's attempts to fix her infertility, and resulted in the birth of the Arab nations, competition and hatred between Jew and Arab to this day.  The birth of Ishmael was God's permissive will and not His choice for the blood line through which Jesus would be born.  Abraham was both the spiritual father and the physical dad to the Jews.  His claim to fame was NOT in the genetic lineage, but in the spiritual lineage.  God's kingdom is a spiritual one, not a Jewish one. Our adoption is spiritual.  However, being a Messianic Jew might be God's delight.  Remember, God always looks at the heart.  Law always handicaps.)

Galations 4:4-6 KJV    When the fullness of time4 was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the ADOPTION of sons (and daughters).  Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Ephesians 1:2-7 KJV    Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.  He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.  (He) predestined us to (have the opportunity of) ADOPTION by (receiving) Jesus Christ (as our Messiah), according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace.  He has made us accepted in the beloved, in Whom we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Spiritual insight = When we say yes to Jesus as Messiah, then God says yes to us and becomes our dad.  God gives us a bit of His Holy Spirit as a confirmation of His adoption.  The heavenly relationship begins.  As we mature spiritually, our self image will blossom. There will be improvements in body, mind and spirit, as we know, love and trust God more and more

Thoughts on
One's Being Responsible for/Contributing to Another's Problems

Hereditary disease has the potential of attacking descendents. 
Additionally individuals often pass on sexually transmitted diseases to their partners/mates and/or offspring. 
In Genesis we see where Adam and Eve (as parents of not only their own children but of the entire human race) became guilty/ responsible for/contributed to the harm of all their descendents by allowing sin/death/disease to enter their own flesh and blood.
It is horrific enough to suffer for one's own sins, but worse still to affect/afflict one's children.  Additionally Eve had to suffer the resulting condemnation/accusation of enlisting Adam in her disobedience.  Perhaps God told them about Jesus; perhaps not.  Perhaps they did not receive forgiveness (and reunion with God in heaven) until Christ went to the dead and preached to them just before He rose from the grave.  Luckily we do not have to wait.  We can go to Christ right now, repent and receive forgiveness, peace of mind, plus legal permanent membership in God's spiritual family.  Separation from God will allow Satan to get a foot in the door of our lives.  Quick, drop to your knees and leap into the arms of God.  He is waiting for you.

Remember; as a Christian, it is not our reputation that is at stake; it's the Lord's reputation!  We do NOT need to protect our human reputation.  Rather, our human container of self-importance needs to be displaced, Lord, with Your Oil/Water/Oil/Spirit/Heart/Will/Importance/Loveliness/Mind/Goals/Plans/Power.
One of our purposes in life is to reveal Christ to this generation.  Christ went about revealing His Father.

Significance of interview is that once we ask Jesus to be our savior, Lord and baptizer, then the kingdom of God moves into our body.  When the King lives in our body, the kingdom of God has come.  It is not in heaven.  It is here in us.  We begin to be less and less; the Holy Spirit begins to be more and more.  There comes a time when there is no room left for neediness.  It becomes impossible for us to be bound.  Excepting Adam/Eve/Enoch, Jesus Christ is the mold/template/blueprint/example/ mentor/model for all mankind, the first/most perfect of a new race/breed/kind of human for which God intended all along for us to become.  Jesus not only illustrated how we were to accomplish this, but he also opened the door to its possibility, by His birth/death/resurrection/ascending to heaven/sending the Holy Spirit.  This is NOT something of the past, nor something of the future; it is a now reality, for anyone who chooses it.  The evil spirit needs a body in which to operate best; likewise, the Holy Spirit works best in a body - yours and mine.  That is His joy.  His delight.  His original plan when God created the universe!  It is not a necessity nor a need; yet it is an emotional need, His emotional need, His design, His requirement.  His best for us.  His prayer for us is to choose Him, to ask Him to accomplish in us His perfect plan.

"What Satan did - The issue is that we have an enemy who wants us to live as far from freedom as possible. But we have such a hard time believing this! Why? Because the devil will do anything he can to rule over us again (1 Peter 5:8). After Jesus’ death and resurrection, Satan, who was and is utterly defeated, devoted himself to doing what he had done in the beginning - trying to destroy the perfection God created. Therefore, it takes daily decisions on our part not to believe what he insists is true. 
Be alert. The devil will play with your head. He will try to convince you that your sin is too great for the blood of Jesus to cover. He will confuse you into thinking that his way is the only way; that you are the defeated one; that you are ugly and flawed and could never, ever possibly be what God wants. 
After years of believing these lies, it is war to believe the opposite. It is a struggle to put 2 and 2 together and realize that Jesus did not go to the cross for nothing. The perfection of God gives us the opportunity to see ourselves and our lives as Heaven sees them - not faultless, but absolutely perfect, because He is able to make us perfect. 
The perfection I’m talking about means that we can present ourselves, humble and empty before Him, and He can fill us up. It means resting in Him, as His perfection comes and rubs out our cracks and crevices and makes us whole. As I recently wrote on Coffee Talk, some of us have more cracks than others, but there are no cracks that the Spirit of God cannot rub out. Passionate and persistent pursuit of Him will be rewarded. 
To witness His perfection in your life, there are 2 things you must do. 1st, supply you, in humility and without pretense, and 2nd, be willing to change the way you think.
The rest, to His great joy and eagerness, is up to Him.
You will be amazed at how these 2 decisions change your life."

We can NEVER prequalify for salvation or healing - only receive what He did before we were born!

Secular Research

Quantum physics has research and theories whereby material at its infancy reacts positively or negatively, but only when observed.  Our cells/DNA KNOW when we are being observed, whether by humans or spirits (evil or holy).  It is no wonder that we also know we are being observed 24/7 by God and/or demons.  We also know when others are looking.  Call it insight, intuition, or whatever, but our cells apparently DO know.  Paranoia, in reality, it not so weird or false!  Medical science is just not up to speed with physics and cutting edge religious practices like exorcism.

VISUALIZATION is one of the basic rules of the majority of non-Christian spiritual proselytism/indoctrination.  Michaelsen, Johanna    Like Lambs to the Slaughter - Your Child and the Occult chapter 7 Shamanism 101 - What You See is What You Get says that purposeful deliberate visualization would be equivalent to Christian faith.  The DANGER is when when our mind actively ASKS (invites) the "guide" in one's mind's eye to come.  Rather than asking an evil spirit to come, we need to be asking the Holy Spirit to come.  Ignorance of truth is NO spiritual/legal excuse; Satan always comes in sheep's clothing, always.
