DELIVERANCE from the OCCULT
(ISM's & cults)

(1) Any HEALING/deliverance ministry, mission, church, denomination, organized religion that is
more intellectual than heart can be sick itself.  That is the problem with the rabbis of the New
Testament.
(2) Any HEALING/deliverance entity needs to allow for the possibility of gradual healing.
(3) Any HEALING/deliverance spiritual healer or religious organization that omits the Christian
Trinity (God the father, Jesus Christ the son, plus the Holy Spirit) is of the enemy, Satan.
(4) Satan can heal.  Satan can counterfeit.  See the book of  Exodus in the Old Testament.
(5) Satan can contaminate.  Beware of situations where there is compromise, where the church
has aligned itself with things not allowed.  See the book of Deuteronomy in the Old Testament. 
(6) Curses can come in the back door through compromises and ignorance.
(7) Curses can be inherited.
(8) Curses can be the root cause of many diseases.
(9) The Hebrew/Jewish law required no intermarriage, because of religious contamination.
That contamination involved sins or trespassing, doing things hurtful to God, resulting in curses,
the root cause of a majority of diseases.  God was NOT prejudiced nor biased. 
He was protecting His children and grandchildren from becoming diseased.
(10)  The Old Testament rules have not been exterminated.  Rather they have been completed. 
The Old Testament was the 1st chapter of His book.  The New Testament is the last chapter of
His book.  The Old Testament was the engagement.  The New Testament is the marriage. 
If we have NOT read the entire Bible, we have no right to reject it.

1st Chronicles 10:13-14 NIVer    (King) Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the Word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel (guidance) of one (medium/fortune teller/spiritist) who had a familiar spirit, to inquire of it (the evil spirit).  (Saul) inquired not of the Lord.  Therefore He slew him and turned the kingdom to David, son of Jessee.

Isaiah 19-21 NIV    When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter,  should not a people inquire (instead) of their (own) God?  Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?  (Look) to the law (of Moses) and to the testimony (of the prophets).  If they do NOT speak according to this (Holy) Word, they have NO light of dawn. (Critique = Here it seems that the prophet Samuel did really appear.  One needs to consult with Hebrew/Jewish scholars to get their analysis.)

Nee, Watchman                           The Latent Power of the Soul            book
may be a dangerous half truth.  Nee's hypothesis is that the soul (mind = conscious + subconscious) is the part of man which Satan manipulates for his own gain.  Nee contends that the subconscious is the original Adamic nature that existed with super powers before his fall (when he lost his super powers).  Nee contends that man's paranormal activities are equivalent to God's powers.  He also contends that these powers are used by Satan to accomplish evil designs.  He contends that the unregenerate man is capable in his own human power to do the feats of the magicians at the time of Moses. 
What Nee did not understand is that man's paranormal feats are not due the The Latent Power of the Soul (subconscious).  Rather, the power is from the activity of demons. Demons need a live animal or person in which to manifest their evil nature.  Look at Spiritualism the religion where one speaks to the dead, especially through an intermediary called a medium.  In reality, one is speaking to a demon, pretending to be a deceased person.  Nee understood that paranormal activity is evil.  What he failed to notice is that the source of the power is not human but rather spiritual, from the pit.
Nonetheless, according to Todd Bentley above, Satan can copy the Holy Spirit and empower the human spirit to do astra travel, if the individual is in allegiance with demons (knowingly or unknowingly).

He Came to Set the Captives Free a nightmarish autobiography dealing with those escaping from cults/witchcraft/demons/Satan.  Brown contends that Nee helped her to understand and free others from soul power.  One can relinquish control and let God have all the power. 
I do not see in scripture that a human has its/his/her own spiritual power.  Spiritual power has 2 sources, either evil/demonic or Godly.  The human spirit can tap into either, but is not a 3rd spiritual power nor the source/author/generator of one's spiritual power.  Yes, the human spirit can travel, communicate and do magic, but the power is either from God or Satan.  At least, there is no Biblical basis for such a belief/dogma where the human spirit is has power apart from God or Satan.  If Nee contends that the soul, as opposed to the spirit, has the power, then he is talking about the human mind/brain/thoughts.  Again, the same principle would apply.  Supernatural power is not human power.  Nee contends that both Satan and Adam's descendants retain the powers given to them at creation; that all we need to do is to tap into them/our DNA or preferably to tap into God.
Another concept that Yoder has dealt with is UFO's in chapter 17 Deliverance.  She like some others contends that UFO's/extraterrestrials are demon entities, which create evil strongholds in some lives. 
For beginners, one needs to repent of any involvement. She cites a good case study.  On this UFO issue, there are a number of Christians who do agree with her.  However, again there is no Biblical basis,
that we are aware of.

Shockingly, The Order of the Arrow of the Boy Scouts of America can be extremely demonic, especially if one becomes the Medicine Man for the Order, the one who calls up spirits and assigns them as spirit guides to individual scouts.

Renounce Satan and dedicate (or rededicate) yourself to Christ  in the name of God the Father, again in the name of Jesus Christ, and again in the name of the Holy Spirit. Trinity is always 3. 
The minister can then say, "In the name of Jesus, I break every seal of Satan; I set you free by the sword of the Holy Spirit." 
Ministry must always be in love towards the individual, rather than to demons (except when we address the demon, having told the client first).  NEVER work alone.  Jesus sent His disciples out in pairs!

She refers us to Watchman Nee's The Spiritual Man .  They agree that once a "power" demon resides in an individual soul, the individual has the ability to communicate with the evil spirit world + has the potential to use his human spirit in out-of-body activities + has the potential to use witchcraft powers.  The person seeking deliverance needs to agree to sever this spiritual communication link and lose all his paranormal (telepathy, clairvoyance, extrasensory perception, translocation) powers; otherwise he is not ready for exorcism.

"A young married woman (lets call her Roberta) came to see me seeking advice during a conference. She had a history of mental illness and had spent much time in hospitals. She wanted my help yet was not eager for me to pray. Later, when she came to my office and allowed me to pray for her profound depression to lift, no evident healing took place.
I noticed two strange things about her appearance: She had a beautiful but haunted face and rows of patterned burn marks arranged neatly up and down her arms like tattoos. She had inflicted them on herself, she told me, by sticking a lighted cigarette to her flesh. When I asked if it had not hurt, she answered, “No!” The lack of pain seemed strange but I ascribed it to some mysterious kind of psychological blocking out. He also told me she liked to wander around cemeteries, and felt most at home in settings that reminded her of death. She left my office pretty much the same way she came; I simply did not know how to help her.
A few months later some of her friends brought her to where I was speaking at a large conference. At that point I began to suspect that I was dealing something more than a mere psychological problem. Every time she started to approach me to talk, she turned around again and disappeared into the crowd. Her friends finally calmed her down and brought her forward to tell me how, as a young girl, her father had consecrated her to an evil spirit in a satanic ritual in Brazil. She had become a priestess of Satan. But now that she was in the United States she was trying to live a normal life. She asked me to free her.
Realising that I was in over my head, I introduced her to a leader at the camp who had a lot of experience in praying for deliverance. Aside from my own lack of experience, I did not have much time to spend with her because I was a main speaker and 350 other people were attending the camp. I told her I would be available to start the prayer, but that my friend would do the actual casting out.. She pleaded with me to stay and lead the entire deliverance prayer, but I felt that my more experienced colleague would do better at praying for her deliverance.
So around ten o’clock one night I initiated the prayer, then turned the session over to the other leader, who took over and prayed vigorously for several hours while I watched. Finally, around two in the morning, I decided to leave since I was scheduled to speak the next morning and was becoming exhausted. It seemed like wisdom for me to leave and retire to my cabin to get some rest.
Before dawn I was awakened by a knock at my cabin door. A man told me to get up, that Roberta had tried cutting her wrists. I stumbled to my feet and got dressed. But what could I possibly do that I had not already done? Nevertheless, they brought Roberta over. She asked if we could talk. So we sat down on the doorstep of my cabin as the sun came up. She told me she had just called her husband two hours away to come and pick her up and take her home. Then she threatened to commit suicide when she got there.
Is Satan using guilt to keep me up night and day? I thought. 'You’re a priest,'  she went on pointedly, 'and you don’t even believe in who you are. You’re the only one in this camp who has the spiritual power to free me. I came to you, and you turned me over to somebody who can’t do it.'
This hit me hard. Suppose God did want me to pray for her? If it was the devil, on the other hand, what better way to wipe me out as a speaker than to get me trapped the way my friend was trapped last night? By telling me I was the only one who could pull it off, was she just appealing to my vanity?
I finally promised to try and help her, provided that she, in turn, did everything possible to cooperate. She agreed. And as a first step she confided that she had been consecrated to a particular demon mentioned in the Bible, and that a scripture verse had been pinned to her when she had been consecrated to Satan. She was not familiar with the Bible, but asked in her accented English if there might not be a book named 'Jope.'
'That sounds like Job,' I said.
'That’s it!'
By the time of our appointment the next morning, she had spent hours preparing and had found her verse, Job 18:24: 'He is torn from the security of his tent and marched off to the king of terrors.'
'King of Terrors is the one I was offered to,' she said.
For the net hour I led her through repentance and forgiveness of sins, then asked her to renounce all her involvement in the occult realm. After that I prayed to break any curses and cast out the King of Terrors. The beautiful conclusion came when she consecrated her life to Jesus Christ, was baptised in the Hoy Spirit, prayed in a tongue and interpreted it herself.
'Just as Satan has been using you for his purposes,' went the interpretation, 'I will now use you for My own glory.'
At the end of our prayer time, which was quiet and lasted about an hour, Robert looked different, not to say transformed. Her original reason for coming to see me, as it turned out, was her shock when one of her daughters had asked her if she was a devil. Also she had been addicted to various drugs, which I had not known about when I prayed, and yet the addiction was broken during our prayer. Thereafter she was able to begin a radically new life with her husband and children."

People don't know that the needles used in acupuncture are blessed by various leaders of the Eastern religions. Some Eastern religions are T.M. (Transcendental Meditation) and Yoga. Instead of doing Yoga, you might consider doing Pilates which is similar and without the spiritual ramifications. However, Pilates may be questionable too if it's based on Yoga. Using hexes or spells or "voodoo" can even affect Christians. You have to be careful who you cross and who you associate with because they might (attempt to) get revenge on you in this form if you offend them...
Also, some demonic stuff is inherited if you don't get with Jesus. Even if you are a Christian, you need to close the doorway to any ancestors that have done witchcraft with the blood of Jesus. Elaine said that some babies were possessed before they even were born because of some deals their Satanic parents made."

"Through the different breathing exercises and by willfully emptying the mind through concentrated meditation, a shift in consciousness occurs (in the mind), very similar to that of the drug-induced state of the shaman or sorcerer. A doorway to the spirit realm is then opened through the mind and a demonic spiritual connection is made within the spirit of the person. The person is now "free" to have all kinds of spiritual experiences, especially the sensation that they are eternal spirit and one with God. This is what is meant by the term self-realization. In the New Age this is called astral travel or astral projection. In reality it is sorcery because any entrance into the spirit realm through any means other than Jesus Christ is the same as witchcraft (Galatians 5:20, sorcery/pharmakeia/drugs)...There is no such thing as "Christian" yoga. Some Christians believe they can participate in yoga for exercise only while meditating on the Holy Spirit. The eastern form of meditation with repetitive chants or phrases is a way of blanking out and emptying the mind, which is the gateway to the spirit. This is why Jesus said do not use "vain repetitions" when we pray. Even the breathing exercises are designed to lower the level of oxygen in the bloodstream while increasing the level of carbon dioxide, another "trigger" in the nervous system which opens a doorway through the mind to the spirit realm. Many occultists have written about this method of entrance and travel through the astral realm...
If you have had any past involvement in yoga or in any of the teachings of the east, ask the Lord’s forgiveness.
Then renounce sorcery and the spirits of yoga. Tell them they must go in the Name of Jesus. Some of the names of these spirits are:

The spirit of divination - Python spirit – Acts 16:16-18, counterfeits God’s Spirit and constricts flow of true Spirit in the Believer. Separates in order to control. Also invited Leviathan - communication - twists truth.  
Kundalini serpent power - religious spirit represented by Cobra, spiritually blinds eyes with poisonous teachings and scales.
Sits in the base of the spine and winds itself upwards
Shiva and False Light - Jesus is the True Light, John 1:9
The spirit of death - relates to reincarnation teachings and breathing exercises  
Strong delusion/Lying spirit - 2 Thessalonians 2:11  
All seducing spirits – teach doctrines of demons, 1 Timothy 4:1
Next confess that Jesus is Lord, the only Christ, and true Son of God.
Finally, ask God to close every "doorway" into the spirit realm that is not through faith in Jesus Christ.
By doing this we take the Sword of the Spirit and sever the serpent and his works.
